The X-Files can do it all. Horror, scifi, drama, comedy... I can't wait for you guys to get to some of the comedy episodes. Such a damn good show.

Thicketdweller

I kind of enjoy the game of identify the actor. I always did it when I could see and I really like doing it now by trying to listen to voices, for example, Gary Oldman sounds different in Bram Stoker‘s Dracula, sounds different in. True romance, and now Gary Oldman in slow horses sounds different from any of those previous voices. Even Gary Oldman‘s voice, and the fifth element is different from all the. rest. Today, part of that game is how long does it for take for me to recognize a voice? How long does it take for me to recognize that I should know that voice and sometimes it’s just instantaneous because I recognize that voice.

Just wondering, how's it look for keeping X-Files on the schedule, so far?

Target Audience

It will be released weekly through the rest of the year which will take us through episode 13. Then we will decide what to do.

Was impressed by scene of the woman getting her throat crushed.

Katie Jackson

I've always been impressed with how Chris Carter and the writers are so good at blending different genres to make great or at least good X-Files episodes. This show can be so many things and they seem to always do it well. I can't wait to see your reaction to the first 13 episodes and I really hope you decide to continue the series after that. Season 1 & 2 are very solid, but seasons 3-7 are easily some of the best TV that the 90's ever made.

River Acheron

I don't wanna get ahead of myself but..yeah. This show is here to stay on this channel :) This was a pretty good episode. Not my favorite of the season (that one has yet to be shown). But I think this is a solid B. I always love a good ghost story. :)

Wait...you guys haven't seen Poltergeist! NOw there's a suggestion

When I moved from Alabama to Montana a few years ago, I put all my stuff in storage, including my X-Files box sets and they're still there, so I had to go out and get another copy of season 1 just to be able to watch it with you guys and I'm thrilled to see you so excited and enthusiastic about the show. I hope you decide to stick this one out.

MrDeadstu

This episode was made to partially get FOX off Chris Carter's back. FOX wanted more "Mulder and Scully investigate the paranormal and help people" episodes and separately suggested poltergeists, so the writers, who enjoyed ghost stories, went to work. The title 'Shadows' is mentioned in the episode. I really enjoy you guys discussing the show and your predictions/what if's. I have watched, own and almost worship the entire show, so I'm squirming like a schoolboy with a secret while listening to your outstanding babble. Keep it up guys

Patrick Smith

We can only hope next week’s episode is more Halloween themed than this

penoyer79

Hell yeah, keep on going.

Troubled Tribble

The X-Files was the first TV show I bought the vhs releases of, I still don't remember this episode. It was like watching a new episode!

Shatner’s Cigarette

[Uses Jedi mind trick] "This is the series you're looking for. You will watch Mulder and Scully for many years to come."

Banes

I like the part where they ask her if she's seen this person before and it's just a white smear across the photo.

River Acheron

Hopefully not the remake. NOBODY likes the remake! But I gotta say, Poltergeist 3 is fire!

John A

Yes keep it going, and I do like the movie references they make in the show.

Shatner’s Cigarette

"Shadows" seriously triggered this old man. I mean, early ‘90s business-casual and regular business fashion was painfully dull. I hated it even back then. That’s why 1993/94 was my full-on grunge era. All my aura farming got done in flannel shirts, baggy jeans, scuffed Doc Martens, long hair and a car stereo permanently set to blast Pearl Jam CDs like they were sacred texts. Because if you’re going to reject the system at 20 years old, you may as well do it while mainlining XF and DS9, channeling Eddie Vedder and with zero dress code.

Loot Narsbaar

Neither here nor there but the navigation menus on the blu rays are absolute ass.
