We are here. UNCUT reaction releases Monday (Sunday for Early Access tiers)

Comments

JMB

My nipples could cut glass right now. edit: I hope that wasn't too inappropriate.

Todd

Special appearance by Ensign Gates.

Paul Hess

Now that's a trailer!

Moonlander

Glad to see Ensign Gates🙂

Goddess of Empathy

Didn't think a star trek trailer would make me cry, but here we are.

Ross Townsend

Who TF decided we needed to cry BEFORE the reaction even started?!

Glenn Zigli

Ok. My eyes might have leaked as I watched trailer. Damnit Jim.

JMB

I imagine these are a pain in the butt to do, but thanks TA for doing these. I don't know if they get much viewership or provide any tangible return, but it's appreciated.

Yorin

Ensign Gates is the key to all of this.

DG

There should be a YouTube reaction channel just for these trailers

Dan J Reid

Man, it feels like it was only yesterday you guys were starting season 1 and everyone was telling you to hang in there until we get to the good stuff! Now here we are, the end of an era. "All Good Things..." still stands as one of the finest finales to a TV series ever made. I cried when the final credits rolled and it sank in that I wouldn't be seeing these characters every week ever again.

ShazD

Let me say it again louder for those in the back: *Overrated*

Target Audience

They don’t get a ton of views but it’s literally my favorite thing to do.

ShazD

I'm sure he enjoys them! Wouldn't be so good if he wasn't enjoying them, it's not like people pay for Patreon for the trailers.

Brendon Waldron

This is so good, it's almost enough to get me to like that song...

Marcus BlueSky

To use a quote you guys often state after great episodes: "I got a bit emotional there", which actually is an understatement right now ... I don't want TNG to end, but if it has to end this is a great send off. I started watching your reactions on YT, saw that you guys are really serious about the ST journey and embarked with you (on Patreon) to once again boldly go where no man has gone before and I am here for it "All the way to the [ST] end"

ShazD

I really hate Q with a passion. It doesn't help....

Thomas Cole

"Goodbye, Jean-Luc. I'm gonna miss you. You had such potential. But then again, all good things must come to an end."

reactive1

I’ll definitely second that. This one nearly made me cry and that is an extremely difficult thing to do.

Ross Townsend

We love them. Keep making them. There are incredible HD season trailers for DS9 made by a group called Niners we want you guys to watch. But they contain spoilers, so maybe better to wait until the end of season 5 and watch them all (they never made one for seasons 6 or 7 despite support).

Marcus BlueSky

I love'em. You really hit the point with these. Much appreciated. Please don't mind the amount of views. Enjoy the ones you hit with it, even if the numbers are a few. Quality over quantity. Keep up the great work!

Harry Broos

Could be your best trailer yet, super nice touch adding some patreon takes, means a lot to us fans

Naglfarius

All good things must come to an End. :(

Brian Bates

Man, these are so epic. Please don't stop making them. Anytime you feel compelled to make one, please do.

Harry Broos

You should make one for The Man Trap, the one that started it all

EnigmaticPenguin

It’s a little melancholy and serendipitous that the news of Patrick Stewart retiring dropped this week.

b42

Looking forward to seeing your reaction. I’ve been shouting out about the series finale for months.

EnigmaticPenguin

Bleed for the paycheck, live for the passion.

Ian Meyers

Damn near brought a tear to my eye this Wednesday morning

Steel Tacos

FEELS TRAIN hitting hard on track nine! ALL ABOARD!

Foamy

It's good to have a literal god as a friend when the shit goes down

EnigmaticPenguin

I’ve had a Jenny Johnson painting print of the poker game in my office for a few years now. Something that you guys might consider adding to the set decor every time you wrap a series.

Brandon Blume

Awesome!.........but we've still got Preemptive Strike coming, first right?

Shatner’s Cigarette

If you could see the top of my forearm right now: literal goose bumps. In all my years as a Trekkie, I’ve never seen so much love for Star Trek expressed as perfectly like I have in this trailer. You’ve outdone yourself, my friend.

Better Watch Trek

What a perfect trailer for a perfect finale! Well done! And the patreon takes as critics reviews! Awesome! Perfect! Masterfull done!

D Jammers

I was thinking your YT edit of this episode should start out with clips of Josh and Alex reacting to all great moments of TNG and end with you sitting down to watch "All Good Things" (music bed required of Corse) But this journey doesn't end either.

Dark Kronis

it was the end of a era, thankfully there was more trek to take the void, but nothing was as good as TNG made me feel

Marqushio

Farpoint, Best of Both Worlds, and All Good Things, place the same in my heart as Star Trek movies 1, 2 and 3. All good things may be my favorite of all time. Remember, you evolved from a puddle of goo! 😂

Cory Paton

Fantastic work as always with these cinematic trailers, and here's to the finest crew in the fleet!

Summer

Can’t wait for your full reaction

D Jammers

Shows over. "it's dead Jim" -Bones

Paul

It feels surreal that we're already here... time is that persistent river we can't escape from. But the moments we experience riding down it, makes any destination worthwhile. Glad to be a part of it with all of you again!

#MaxwellDidNothingWrong

This is what Star Trek is about, not technobabble and anomalies of the week, but the vast unexplored condition of man

Doctor Pulaski

Somebody didn’t sleep last night. Magnificent trailer, now go get some rest, Doctors orders!

D Jammers

I wish I could download the version of the episode you guys watched. Because I know my sync is going to be way off.

Scarpad’s Domain

A perfect ending for TNG. Wish a lot of it wasn’t tarnished by post 2017 events

Raphael Gaytan

Without a doubt, your best trailer yet, my friend! It elicited one hell of an emotional response! God, how I love and miss the Enterprise-D family! Thank you both for loving Picard, Riker, Data, Crusher, Worf, Troi and La Forge as I do! 🖖😭

THE Fans

ALL GOOD THINGS does for ENCOUNTER AT FARPOINT, what DOCTOR SLEEP does for THE SHINING. Elements from the earlier one have new light.

Target Audience

Encounter at Farpoint to The Shining comparison is diabolical 💀 but I see the point

Some Guy

My neural pathways have become accustomed to their sensory input patterns 😢

Keith S

This trailer seems to have gotten the most comments in the shortest amount of time.

Vina

Bravo! Your best one yet!

Some Guy

Time... What is this?

Numinous2019

This is also about Treknobabble and the anomaly of the week. Plus the TNG trope of dumping anti-matter into the anomaly to put things right.

D Jammers

Watched it 3 times now, still got goosebumps

Paul Fitz

Got me in the feels with this one. I was a heartbroken 12 year old watching this episode, but yeah, it’s a great send off for the TNG crew.

Numinous2019

People, I enjoy this finale, but it is Stewart's performance rather than the writing that holds it together. A big step up from season 7's typical quality. Best TV show finale ever? No. The right tone? Yes. Don't allow emotion to cloud objectivity. It has flaws. It is still an enjoyable experience in spite of them.

Some Guy

I'm a hot little potato right now

D Jammers

ENSIGN FUCKING GATES

Some Guy

I ought to cast you out or smite you or something

Millenial_Manc

This has made me realise two new things; 1) All Good Things was the first TNG movie 2) Tasha Yar was brought back again only to have a second meaningless death. I still find it jarring that they didn’t restore the season 1 bridge with wood panels for the flashbacks. They only changed the captain’s chair because the wooden flaps were so heavy they kept breaking the hinges off.

brian

Incredible

Ross Townsend

At least a playlist under the channel (please!)

Loot Narsbaar

I would guess that they didn't have the props and were out of money. You could head cannon it as it all being in Picard's head. That's probably why Worf looks so different and Yar is wearing a wig.

Some Guy

I was 6... I remember the Viewers Choice Marathon they aired with fan pick episodes right before. Relics, Yesterdays Enterprise, The Inner Light, and The Best Of Both Worlds.

Loot Narsbaar

It's amazing the Q stuff you used was cut from the syndicated two part version

John M.

Should have used one of the detractor's reviews during the review montage. Throwing in a "It's fine" at the end would have been great. (Great trailer, as usual.)

Matt Everkoul

Fun fact regarding Ensign Gates - she competes in two seasons of “The Amazing Race” reality series - and wins at least one of her seasons!

Keith Capirano

Fantastic trailer. Incredible job putting this together. Had this been the trailer used for the series finale by paramount, Trekkies would have gone beserk. The hype would have been unreal. Send this to whoever heads up Star Trek nowadays, they should hire you on the spot to help with new programs. You guys are great additions to the Star trek family and have done a masterful job so far with so much more to go. Amazing work!!!!

KingPin124

Adding the quotes in was pretty cool.

THE LORE!!!

I've seen this episode countless times, and yet somehow this wonderful trailer made me feel excited to see it as if I had never before. It's been a joy to be on this journey with you gentlemen.

David Wayne Fox

Thank you for my morning cry. 🥰 You know guys, I have enjoyed this journey so much and look forward to your reactions every bit as much now as I used to enjoy episodic TV back in the '80s and '90s. YOU are now my Dallas and Knots Landing and Dynasty.

irohtheteamaster

I didn't need to ugly cry at work but here we are...

Matchstick Jose

I always found it notable that I'm pretty sure they placed Picard in the past on the Enterprise before arriving at Farpoint because Frakes is the one cast member who could in no way pull off playing himself 7 years younger. He just looks too different. ("A little more seasoned," as Deanna would so delicately put it.)

Worf and Riker Ride Again

Damn it, who’s chopping onions again? Beautiful trailer for an incredible ending to the best TV show ever made (fight me, DS9 people). Adding the quotes was 😘👌

Millenial_Manc

They had the chair and the original front two bridge stations and chairs as they reused them whenever they needed a Battle Bridge set or various other bridges like the 1701-C. I don’t really do head canon. If it’s not on screen, it’s not part of the show.

Katie Clayton

This is absolutely brilliant! Thanks for all your hard work in putting these trailers together. Can't wait for the reaction!

Paul Hess

Somehow your editing managed to achieve the impossible and improve on John de Lancie's already impeccable dramatic timing and delivery.

Laurie Rebisz

Goosebump Flush of the skin, & the tears started to come .., Gentlemen - I salute you - definately 90 minutes of some of my Favorite Television of All Time.., Back when it was Free to Air Networks & we had to wait for it !! I wish I could take you back with me, back in time to the Hall of my 400 strong 'West Trek' Star trek fan Club members, whom all assembled to watch 'All Good Things' together in Perth Western Australia, soon after it Aired in the States. The VHS Tape being flown 1/2 way around the world, so we could all travel into my Home City & share this masterpiece together on a Warm Summers Friday evening. Just .... MAGIC ! "Five card stud, nothing wild. And the sky's the limit..." JLP & Crew..., we salute you

Derek Locke

You have to allow for emotion, it's an integral part of the viewing experience! It's very much a part of the overall quality of a piece of art.

Kathy A

I saw her season on Amazing Race—I had no idea that was Ensign Gates!! Thanks so much for that info.

startrekiborg

I can't believe I missed the Patron Takes on this. I've been keeping an eye out for the episode and it slipped right past me. But, it was the best Series finale ever, and close to the best episode. Which ofcourse means they thought it was OK. lol Judging from the trailer you created, it appears you liked it. That trailer looks like it was made with love. It's been a heck of a journey getting to this point. But, as Q says "The journey never ends'.

Molly Campbell

This makes me actually excited to see the episode again. Hoping this next viewing makes me like it more.

Jonathon Tsagris

It's a decent and satisfying finale, a great many shows fail to clear that bar. The DS9 finale is better; but as far as star trek goes All good things is in second place.

The Ninth Doctor

-Matchstick, absolutely right. They also couldn't shave him as they were about to film 'Generations', so they repurposed stock footage of him in the jungle on "The Arsenal of Freedom" for his comm call with Early Picard 👍🏼

The Ninth Doctor

The trial never ends, but the adventure continues along with it - the sky's the limit...

Gweneviere

Have you boys recovered from the emotions of this episode yet? So many feels!!!

Numinous2019

Emotion, yes. And the TNG finale hits the right emotional tone. TNG is.....and I'm not puling my punches here....emotionally comforting rather than emotionally challenging. That kind of reassuring emotional 'glow' can lead people to overlook the relative flaws of the show. This isn't the greatest TV finale. It is though a worthy finale to TNG.

penoyer79

Congrats. Thankfully, there is still plenty of GOOD Star Trek that awaits.

penoyer79

I'd have been shocked if they didn't like it. It's one of the best episodes of the series.

Numinous2019

TNG isn't art. It's pop culture. It's entertainment. Mostly well crafted and engaging entertainment. TNG avoids ambiguity. 'Art' requires some degree of ambiguity, or at least it is not tidily packaged. All of Star Trek is popular culture. This is not a criticism of ST. It's very worthwhile pop culture.

Ian Westcott

I'm getting misty-eyed already.

Ian Westcott

Yeah, they had a LOT going on at this time, and you can see the stress (financial, creative time) in TNG S7, the first TNG movie, and Voyager. DS9 sortof benefits from this a bit in that the studio started getting distracted enough that they just sortof let the showrunners do whatever they wanted with it.

Ian Westcott

It will always exist as it was at this point of time. I feel the same way reading older X-Men comics. :-D

Nolan

Ehh, it's all a Q illusion anyway. Picard wasn't ACTUALLY travelling through time.

Ian Westcott

I mean, what does antimatter do, really? It combines with normal matter and they annihilate each other. Which basically falls under the category of "shit's messed up? Let's just blow it up and move on."

Ian Westcott

And now I'm wondering what kindof of TNG retrospectives you'll have. This is the end of a era, truly. Yeah yeah, there are the movies that you'll get to eventually, but nothing is the same as just sitting down each week with your dear TNG bridge crew. So you'll have to have some sort of sendoff in addition to the S7 tier list.

Kirkinson

The notion that pop culture & entertainment are not art is itself a completely subjective idea. And even if it was true, it would not follow that an assessment of a piece of pop culture or entertainment was inherently more or less subjective or objective than an assessment of a piece of art (unless you were talking about something quantifiable like viewership or box office numbers).

startrekiborg

Being shocked by their reactions is par for the course. Lol

Nolan

I disagree. There are objectively good and bad qualities art can have. A 2 year old's finger-painted turkey is not gonna end up in a museum. However, when it comes to emotional resonance, that's when the wildcard comes in. That finger-painted Turkey is gonna be a lot more highly regarded by the kid's parents than anybody else, because it has emotional resonance with them. This is why I'm always saying, "embrace the idea you enjoy crap." And that, "Just because you enjoy something does not mske it 'good'." I mean, isn't that what the S-tier is for you? That something surpasses the objective qualities by having such a high emotional resonance to you? Art is objective. Your response is subjective. The art's ability to bridge the gap to speak to your specific experiences and viewpoints, may speak to it's objective quality in that a lesser work of the same subject matter may not spark that resonance, but it is also important to acknowledge what the viewer may bring with them to influence their interaction with the piece.

Remi Samson

Based on this trailer, I'm assuming you guys feel the same way all of us do about this series finale. I'll for sure pay the extra 5$ to watch it on Sunday. Glad I was on this adventure with you guys since Encounter at Farpoint. Looking forward to continue watching DS9 with both of you.

Trekkie74205

If I teared up for this I am going to be fucked when I watch the reaction. Damn it.

Philbot

😭 beautiful guys!

Billy T. Riker

🥺 Holding back the tears cuz you guys fucked me up at work with this! Thank you Target Audience for taking us on your journey through time & space. 🖖

Numinous2019

DS9 is my favourite ST show. I have several big problems with aspects of how it develops. I'm avoiding mentioning anything concrete. I think these were wrong-headed decisions that were never going to work. So DS9 is my favourite ST show, but objectively it has some serious flaws that detract from it. The usual critical response to DS9 is that it was the best ST show of that era. That is based on the show's strengths. Those critics never mention DS9's mistakes. Never. My point is that 'Art' cannot be invoked to ignore weaknesses or flaws. We humans tend to make emotional arguments in favour of what we like most, while being unwilling to acknowledge what we like isn't necessarily always good. And I was taking issue with the claims that this is the greatest finale of any TV show. That was not stating "It's my favourite TV show finale". I'm not 'disowning' anyone who rates 'All Good Things' that highly. I'm disagreeing with them. And 'Art' is not an argument for a script that has 'wonky' elements. Star Trek is not made so that audiences interpret the plot, characterisation and moral of the story in whatever way takes their fancy.

BN13

It's the greatest TV finale I've ever seen. Which ones would you say are better?

jan

wow - i was thinking how amazing it is we are at this point - seems like we just started the journey of Star Trek - this trailer reminds me of how i felt at the time, we were devastated to see the last TNG, it was such an important part of life and hope - today we need the hope, and i see some now - thanks TA love your work

Millenial_Manc

Yeah DS9 desperately needed that autonomy to be successful. Even those who don’t like it at least aren’t disliking it because it is a static space station in a smaller and less eventful universe. I’m sure I heard that they originally planned or at least considered making “call me Julian” gay and in a relationship with Garak! But of course the tentacles didn’t let go quite enough for that and he immediately has eyes for Dax. Or pretty much anyone else under 40 with boobs.

Numinous2019

Why do we humans have an emotional investment & not just think "Well this guy has some issues with it, so that was his experience. I love it. My love for it isn't affected by his not loving it as much as I do". Seriously, I'm not attacking anyone here. I'm saying I don't agree with them, just as they don't agree with me. I don't accept their argument about it, just as they don't accept my argument about it.

Althalus

I started watching Star Trek with my father. TNG was our Star Trek. We didn't agree on a lot of things but we both loved Star Trek. He killed himself in 2019. Ever since then watching Star Trek has become even more special to me. This literally just killed me for some reason. Thats how grief works sometimes though.

dkenobi

Wow. Simply awesome. The perfect trailer for a flawless series finale. Brought tears to my eyes. Great work, guys. Thank you.

Numinous2019

I'd better wrap up, because everyone here has better uses to put their time to (respectfully). I completely disagree that Star Trek is 'Art'. We can enjoy an episode to different degrees, but we are not basically disagreeing about what the meaning of an episode is. Star Trek is very concrete. Character motivation. Plot progression & consequences. We don't end up arguing about what happened or why in an episode, just the extent of our enjoyment or investment in watching.

Millenial_Manc

My understanding is that he was travelling through time backwards or else there would have been no story as there wouldn’t have been a temporal paradox and if he wasn’t actually travelling through time he wouldn’t have been able to correct it. The future timeline wasn’t necessarily accurate though because the Picard in ‘our’ timeline had a recollection of the events, told others, and could there change how things panned out whether he meant to or not. The past timeline we saw was destroyed though with the temporal paradox from the time Picard was in the inspection pod with Yar onwards but until that point it was all the same universe / timeline including when the ship was designed and built. What it boils down to is that I’m a TNG season 1 fan and I’d have liked a final farewell to my wooden panelling, bottom of the view screen falling to pieces, random patches of loose carpet, and horrendously uncomfortable looking Ops / Con stations.

Deep Red

Such a lovely touch having the patron takes be the review quotes for the episode :) Oh... I think I have something in my eye. Don't mind me.

BN13

So what specific things about a show make it "objectively" good? How it was shot? How it was written? Direction choices? The quality of the acting? The overal message? How accurate the science is? How good the characters are? And does a show have to hit all of these items out of the park in order to be objectively good, or is it allowed to be lacking in some areas, but phenomenal in others? And for each of these areas, how do you define whether even one area is objectively good or not? People may differ widely on what they consider to be good acting, good directing, good writing, etc. Even the word "good" itself is a highly subjective word. "Good" is a word of personal judgment. There is no "good" outside of one's perception of good. So if you are going to claim that something is objectively good, then clearly define the standard unchanagable frame of reference you use that isn't based in opinion to determine whether or not something is "objectively good?" What exactly are DS9's mistakes for instance? What are the criteria you use to determine a mistake? I actually think a lot of people would agree that DS9 has mistakes. Just look at Season 1. But maybe "nobody talks about them" (which again isn't wholly factual. Just watch the DS9 documentary to see the writers comment on mistakes they made) because nobody can agree on what all the mistakes are? Writing choices you think are bad, I might think are good, and vice versa. Ironically, I think you are trying to use your own subjective opinion of this episode as the frame of reference for non-emotional objectivity, which is actually the most subjective, and dare I say it, emotional thing you can do. Art/pop culture, or however else you want to spin it, is ultimately all about how people perceive it. And every single person will perceive it differently and have their own idea of what an "objective" criteria is for judging, shows, movies, books, or any media of choice, or quite frankly, their perception of all reality in general. I could just as easily judge the shows/finales that you think are better than this, as you just trying to justify to yourself that you like "crap." The whole point of anything that gets put out into the world, it that everyone is going to perceive it differently and get their own messages out of it. It's not a matter of emotion, it's a matter of human perception. The only thing objective about it, is we're all watching the same source pixels on a screen. Which is actually pretty amazing to think about how diverse all of our interpretations are of the same exact thing.

Target Audience

I did not intend to inspire this dialogue but I’ve enjoyed it

Jack Molitor

Alex: “I mean, it’s good, but can we possibly get more Ensign Gates?”

Target Audience

I’ll create a collection here on Patreon and a playlist on YouTube soon

Numinous2019

Everyone who replied to me. Thank you for your perspectives. If I don't strictly agree with you about ST/TNG then that doesn't mean I don't respect either your own argument, or how you expressed it. I have always enjoyed ST on TV (I stopped watching before 'modern' TV ST). I just try to be very objective about it (and the fact that TOS's pop culture success bought TNG time to get over its shaky first two seasons, while TNG's great success helped DS9 get through its early wobbles without risking cancellation or radical overhaul).

Target Audience

The purchase price will be $10 since it’s a double episode.

Numinous2019

Again it is the claim that this is 'The Greatest TV Finale' that is my issue. That overlooks weaknesses in the script. Stewart is the lynchpin holding the execution of this story together. If his performance wasn't as strong as it was, then the inconsistency of the script becomes more noticeable. Subplots go nowhere or just disappear (e.g. Where is Tomalak? ), The anomoly is bigger as it moves back through time....except when Picard first reaches that point in space and the anomoly isn't there at all (i.e. before he creates the anomoly with the 3 scans in 3 time periods). Because of the TNG movies, we only get any degree of resolution in a possible future timeline, not in the series' timeline. The script relies on 'Anti-Time' (writer pulls that one out of their.......) and a finale where they fall back on the usual "If we introduce enough anti-matter.....". Enjoying something doesn't mean the problems don't matter. That's not 'The Greatest TV Finale'. It's a patchy script with a reminder of just how good Stewart is as an actor and relying on generating good vibes over any consistent story framework.

Strife

This might be the best one you’ve done.

Shanelle

🥹 This is so sweet! What a nice touch to include the Patrons. A goodbye to the show and the TA journey. ❤️

AC C

Congratulations! You FINALLY got to the point that TNG truly becomes TNG. Lol!

Shanelle

I thought of Alex when I saw her pop up in the trailer. lol. That was for him, wasn’t it?

David Kirk

I agree with this. Target Audience should have a job working with future Star Trek shows.

Evan Guthrie

Kind of incredible. This is it. That's all there is. Experiencing it with you (so to speak) has been like experiencing it for the first time, something I never got to do myself. Now it's wrapping up and I feel much like I imagine audiences did in 1994. Glad to have been a patron, here's to two and a half more classic shows!

Marko

It is us who thank you for taking the journey.

Kimberli Sinning

First time commenter...WOW! NOW you got me in tears. Thanks, Guys! What a journey...we still have to go. ;)

Cranky Grandma

Love this trailer. Can’t wait to watch your reaction. Thank you for taking us with you on the journey

Aaron Wells

You guys have a gift for this. Well done! :)

Banes

Wonderful job. Okay, let’s crank it back and watch the whole show again!

Collin Freeman

And thank you Josh and Alex for allowing us to experience the journey again. It’s been a great ride.

Religion, Sex, and Politics

My only problem with the TNG finale is that it overshadows the DS9 season 2 finale, which I think is actually better.

TwoWeeksGuy

Did we or did we tell you not it's the greatest TV show (network) ever made?

Matt Everkoul

Now you guys can just watch random TNG episodes in the background whenever you want!

TwoWeeksGuy

Aren't names in the credits subject to the rules of the Actors guild? Like you don't credit someone as required you get sued?

Pixels At Dawn

Amazing! And may I say, I think as we get older, we all feel a bit more like old confused irumodic syndrome Picard

Nathan Cline

Great show, great finale. I personally prefer B5's Sleeping In Light as the best Series Finale I can think of, but its pretty good. Definitely was nice to see Obrien and Tasha incorporated.

J-Ro

This is fantastic. Goosebumps. As a professional trailer editor myself, I am really digging your Cinematic Trailers. Can’t wait to see more when you get deeper into Deep Space Nine (no pun intended).

J-Ro

Been working in the industry for about 20 years…started at the bottom. I can talk more about it in private, if you’re interested… Meanwhile, keep up the great work! I really love watching Star Trek with you guys (and all your other reactions—REALLY loving the Expanse coverage).

Man of Mini Tall Ants

😢 Don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened 😄. Beautiful trailer. I wish something like this was put together before the finale aired—but, I take an awesome tribute in its place.

FrankandStein

Another excellent trailer. Can't wait to watch your reaction to All Good Things. Thanks, Guys.

Loki San

What a beautiful trailer you put up there catching all the moments and feels of that send off to movie land. Sidenote, now I need some tissues.

Christopher Devlin

Awww this was so fucking well done. It has been such a joy seeing my fave show get appreciated by a new generation (no pun intended ha). I can't wait to get your guys' take on the finale.

David Marcoot

can’t believe i watched all of these with you from tos

Tim Nikiforovs

It's been a long road getting from Farpoint to here, but All Good Things must come to an end.

Miranda

Damn, this was great. So glad you enjoyed TNG. It is my 2nd favorite Trek series, and one of my top 20 shows of all time

Björn W.

When will this trailer be available on YouTube? I'd like to show it to my friends.

Target Audience

This post is public. You can share this link, anyone can watch it. It will be on YouTube closer to the release of the edited reaction as usual.

This_Guy_Again

The only other ending to a show that hit me like this one was "Serenity". You can still feel the loss and pain of the ending. It's as if you are saying goodbye to family. This show got a lot of us through rough childhoods, teaching us to see issues from a new perspective. Giving us role models "worth" following. I still miss this show and the type of characters and relationships that lived with in it.

Fedora The Explorar

My 5th time rewatching this trailer cause its that good, clocking my shift in.

penoyer79

1:22 Had to get that Ensign Gates shot in there.

Loot Narsbaar

Plus without Riker there Yar and O'Brien have stuff to do

Loot Narsbaar

Is it possible the finale is great because of Stewart's performance? Do alleged plot holes make that performance less entertaining, less enjoyable? If you are engaged and enjoy something thoroughly those alleged problems don't really matter! Art isn't meant to be a machine of efficiency , it's meant to be a form of self expression! Who cares if the writer pulls anti-time out of their ass, it's no less less plausible then Trek's replicators or artificial gravity. You either can suspend your disbelief or you can't. Regardless, I disagree 100% it's not a good script. The anomaly isn't there because of the paradox, there is a discontinuity in the timelines. This is explained in the episode. It's has been established a dozen or so episodes ago that there are infinite universes and infinite timelines. The moment the anomaly forms the crew jumps into a new timeline/reality from the one we previously experienced when they first arrived in the Deveron System.

Numinous2019

Loot Narsbaar, I'll repeat that 'Art' is not what ST is. ST does not involve the viewer having to determine character motivation, the mechanics of the script or the story conclusion, the theme or the consequences of the theme. That is almost always fully laid out for us in a very clear and tidy way in ST. I think people here are confusing the level of engagement they have with an episode with having multiple interpretations. The script clearly has issues. The writers have to improvise around them, after writing themselves into those issues. There is no discontinuity in the timeline. That is not the framework of the script. [It is not in either of the edits of this finale]. It is inconsistency in logic, due to having written itself temporarily into a corner. A script is a coherent development of a theme by means of plotting. You are arguing that this script is the equivalent of modern art painting (rules are created on the spot by the artist, who doesn't have to follow conventions, including the conventions they just established for the painting). The finale is a great success compared to season 7's overall standard. But that's a relative standard. I don't agree with your arguments, but I do completely agree that your enjoyment of this episode is legitimate, regardless if it differs from my own.

Ensign Rager is the one who stuck with me more, but that's most likely for her vastly expanded acting role on Space Above and Beyond. But yes as a big Trek and TAR nerd I immediately recognized Joyce as Ensign Gates right from the get go in Season 7 at the starting line.

Wow, incredible trailer. Hits all the feels.

For me, I can’t say Tasha’s death here was meaningless. I view it as all members of the Enterprise Crew, past, present, and future, giving it their all to save all.

This trailer vid just like the actual season finally has a bitter sweet feeling that could never live to how you actually feel ever because you just don't want it to end.

Highlander Reactions

Holy Shit... Your trailer game is S-Tier. By the end of the trailer I had tears in my eyes. I have been a trekkie as long as I can remember and have watched every show in the Franchise, but I grew up with TNG and it will always have a special place in my heart.
