Was gonna go with a c tier but honestly Patrick Stewart saves it with his performance. It's also a decent callback to much earlier but I'm sooooo over this season introducing new family members.

D for disappointing. It copied the usual trope of the child you never knew you had, which we’ve already seen in Trek. It could have been nice to explore Picard’s regrets about being a father and his uncomfortably with children, but this episode didn’t provide much new to this topic. Then it’s all a deception anyways, so who cares…??

With so few episode left, one as bad as this one sting even more

Patrick Stewart portraying guilt and paternal instincts saves this episode for me - i gave it a B, and i usually rank episodes very high just cause i love the characters so much - so B is fairly critical for me - thanks guys

I never even bothered watching the uncut for this one. That tells you about what my rating is.

TinMan_7B9

I don't like the recasting of Bok at all. The Jason Vigo 'kid' looks more like Jim Carrey's twin than Patrick Stewart's son. And there's just not much happening in this slow, boring episode. C, almost a D.

Rick McCombs

I didn't remember this one until I saw on another reaction channel that I follow.

Doctor Pulaski

Only thing that saves this from a D for me is my nostalgia for SUPERFORCE! "In 2020, times are tough. This man's tougher."

Brent Morris

I've just never liked this episode at all. I actually really like season ones the battle and maybe if they have the original actor in Boks role I would care. instead we got fake diesel and fake razor

GrimDark Narrator

Somewhere between a B and a C for me. The secret son trope just feels like a cheap soap opera gimmick. I didn't hate the adult son character and at least he doesn't turn evil at the end. That and Patrick Stewart's always solid acting in this elevate the episode a little bit.

I give this one a D. I find it quite boring, and I just don't care about it at all. I don't even care enough to give it an E.
