Wizardling

Hurrah! You've saved me from a dull Tuesday morning :-)

Wizardling

This is sci-fi, for sure. Sci-fi and fantasy get blurred together, for sure, like with Trek's transporters and constant Earth like planets and humanoids. But The Expanse is way more hard sci-fi.

They're trying to raise the orbit of both ships, cause at low orbit the edge of the atmosphere creates drag on orbiting objects, causing them to lose speed and fall out of orbit.

Kosh Naranek

Absolutely. They established in one of the boring episodes that this planet's infrastructure was over one billion years old. It is clear that the builders have a completely different understanding of physics that humans.

I feel like having some tacos. What kind of tacos you ask? BARBACOA! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Worf and Riker Ride Again

I know you’re probably not that interested but the ships are slowly falling out of orbit as the tiny amount of atmosphere is causing drag against the ships, and the protomolecule is stopping their main engines from working and boosting them into a stable orbit. The Roci has some battery power (for the thrusters) so they are tugging the Barb into a higher orbit so it has less atmospheric drag. The exploding shuttle took out lots of the Roci’s thrusters and drained the battery so they resorted to using the recoil from the railgun to blast them all into a higher orbit, kind of like a grenade jump in Halo.

Tim Nikiforovs

Wait, what? Disney live action remakes aren't good? Not even the fully CGI live action remake of The Lion King? Sai it ain't so? Well, RIP Miller, and Wei I guess. If only she'd known that Amos was that guy. See you for the finale reaction.

Dr. Paul Stubbs

I'm not sure what the Bridge Crew is thinking, but you should really watch Twin Peaks.
