Phenomenon (Doo - Dooo - Dah - Doo - Doo)

While this obviously draws parallels to "Face of the Enemy", it's the multiple levels of gaslighting that actually has the audience considering the possibility that Kira may truly be a Cardassian agent. The Obsidian Order make the Romulan Tal Shiar look like rank amateurs. It was only the rushed ending that kept it out of S-tier for me

A. while it can be seen as a retread of TNG's face of the enemy. it's done in such a interesting way and the complexity of the despection makes you question if Kira was bajoran or really was Cardassian. also any episode allows us a peek into who plain and simple garrick once was gets an A from me

This probably deserves the title "Face of the Enemy" even more than the TNG episode as the Cardassians truly are Kira's own personal enemy. I love both episodes for different reasons. While the premise is similar, the story itself is vastly different.

A-tier. Almost an S but it does t quite hit for me. The fact that it can make me (someone who knows the whole DS9 story) start to wonder if Kira really might be a Cardie sleeper agent...that's worth something.

Bureaucrat's Beloved Baby Brought Back? Bullshit! Beggars Belief! Brainwashed Bajoran-Born Babe Becomes Bait! Bastards!

Fire and Bloodwine

Beyond Belief? "So was the story of Major Kira being a Cardassian sleeper agent true? Not this time, we made it up"

DS9's "Heart Of Stone" is a textbook example of a B story outshining the A-story. Among DS9's vast bench of recurring characters, Nog leads the pack with 45 episode appearances, over half the 71 that series regular Jake appears in. That episode really launches his character's journey.
