Currently heading home from Galaxycon and saw that the Voyager Caretaker reaction has reached the TOP 3 most viewed of all our YouTube videos! 🥳

March has also become our biggest month EVER for YouTube subscriber growth, surpassing when we started TNG in November 2023, and there’s still a week of the month left 🤯

For guys who assumed this channel would die the day TNG reactions ended, the past 4 months have been INCREDIBLE to say the least! Thanks everyone! 🖖

Collin Freeman

Congratulations, and as TC Green says, you've earned it.

House2077

Congrats fellas🎉🎉

V G (Zay)

hell ya VOY fans hella voracious descending upon Caretaker like a pack of hyenas upon a felled elephant. Kudos to y'all.

Trekkie74205

There are a lot of closeted and not so closeted Voyager fans out there. Congrats guys.

startrekiborg

Congratulations!! 🎊 I remember finding your channel somewhere around Star Trek II. I don't remember when I joined Patron. But, you're my only subscription and I've never been sorry about it. You guys don't disappoint. Oh, you disappoint me all the time, but not in your honesty and insight, and that's what matters. You allow me to watch these shows again with new eyes and old excitement. Thank you. You'll have me until the end of this ride.

DynothermsConnected

Good to hear. Rewatching them with you has been such a pleasure.

Scribe31oz

Congratulations! You are by far my favourite reactors not hust in terms of content but your respect for the shows.

MrDeadstu

Guys, Trust No One.

Kt B

That’s fantastic and well-deserved! I am hopeful that the efforts you have made to raise your profile will help accelerate growth, as well. Being on Inglorious Treksperts, interviewing Gates, hosting a panel at this con can only further the momentum. I think that y’all have managed to be very savvy with the business side of the channel. In addition to to the stuff we keep praising, like the technical insights on the stage craft and the authenticity in your reactions, I think y’all have really catered to the appetite for engagement. The opportunity to tier list, the $1 ad-less YouTube videos, the chat groups, and most especially the Patron takes have all been great ways to drive engagement and entice people to Patreon. Kudos to you for the networking, marketing, and cultivating of a community, all of which support your content creation. When you’re finally ready to update those resumes, ALL of these business-building skills get bullet points, not just the video editing experience.

Paul

There's no reason why your channel or Patreon would die after TNG ended, or even after Star Trek is done. There are numerous shows after that deserve your thorough reactions and thoughts over. You're both great at it, much more than most other reaction channels that clearly just aren't very invested in what they watch. Congrats and to the decades to come!

THE Fans

You guys didn't make all the mistakes I believe other channels made for their ST reactions. You didn't skip TOS. And you didn't just do "best of" TOS. You didn't skip early seasons of TNG, or do only "best of" TNG. Also you watched in episode release order instead of series release order. And you didn't skip DS9 simply because one of you already saw it.... YES, these are all things other channels did which either irritated me or made me not watch them at all. You guys truly invested in Trek and the ST audience... and it hasn't gone unnoticed. I especially enjoy the fact that you both really love it. There's a bond. I mean, for instance, I have lost my interest in cast interviews, but when I saw you interviewed Gates, I had to watch it. Looking forward to your reactions to the documentaries and more ST CONTINUES... I just watched two other channels in tears as they watched CONTINUES... hoping it makes you guys cry too. Lol

Dylan Bottom

I second all the people who wrote a paragraph. You guys have became my favorite YouTubers due to the consistency, commitment, and the feeling of being on a journey with you guys. I've watched ever since you were on Tos season 2 and I've basically watched every video ever since on YouTube. Love you guys

D Jammers

I think writing on the thumbnails can be effective. I like when you do that.

Nicky Dawson

Congratulations. Great reactions.

Terminaldogma01

Wrath of Khan is #1? Hmmm… *stares at Josh and Alex* lol

Phenomenon (Doo - Dooo - Dah - Doo - Doo)

I'm guessing that you've already figured out that Trekkies (or "Trekkers") will always embrace their own.... *ESPECIALLY* if they're going on the journey for the first time Keep the reactions real and you'll be doing this for a VERY long time with steadily growing success 😉🖖

Summer

Hmmmm so people need to watch the Voyager and DS9 premier more to even the score….can be arranged

Sam Langanke

The YT clicks on current VOY episodes are higher than on DS9 episodes. Curious.

Imogen S

I'm still annoyed that it took YouTube so bloody long to get you guys in my feed, but it was the Voyager video that did it so I'm not surprised you snagged a bunch of other new followers! Credit has to go your thumbnail too, I saw "she's already the best?!" and immediately knew you weren't gonna be a pair of dick'eads 😂

Bryan Matola

Voyager is experiencing a big renaissance as we get more new Trek shows to compare to it. There’s also the age gap. Whenever I wade into the discourse it seems like people born before 1975 hate it and people born after 1975 love it.

Target Audience

I’ve definitely had the “why did YouTube never show our channel to all these people before this” thought myself haha

Joe J

The higher the views the more YT pushes a video out to others. I think that's how it works.

RSK1995

One word: Voyager! I appreciate you guys doing it by airdate. I got let down by other channels they skipped Voyager altogether thinking it was a minor show. Thank you for respecting the fans! ❤️

Joe J

Josh, I'm curious will the X-Files YT drops no longer always be on Friday? Could be any day?

harrypothead42024

You are putting in the effort, your interactions with fans do not feel fake. You deserve your success.

Imogen S

Well yeah sure, that much is obvious, but it also takes your tastes and preferences into account and it sure as hell knows I watch a hefty amount of Star Trek content, so it really was years late with this one

Sam Langanke

I thought it was a men / women thing.

StonyD

Awesome! Now you get to assume the channel will die after DS9. And then again with VOY. And then again with ENT. In fact, just take the Alex approach and assume it will die either way and you will never be disappointed. : )

StonyD

But, they want to believe.

StonyD

{He sighs in Red October tones} I'm here for the moral support. And the X-Files.

Peter Powis

I had never seen this channel before, even though I watch reactions videos regularly. But recently it came up as a suggestion on you tube, and i subscribed immediately as I love Voyager! But i would have watched you years ago had I known! The algorithm is a strange phenomenon....

Avaria

So, sad news (to me anyway). Kutrzman and Landau released news today that Season 5 of Strange New Worlds and Season 2 of Starfleet Academy (both of which have finished principal photography & are in post-production) are the official end of NuTrek. Paramount says they are dedicated to getting some kind of Trek movie out, but they've also been saying that for the past decade. Looks like you guys have a finish line (at least for now). 🖖😞

Phillip Grischa

Voyager was not a minor show, it had a larger audience than DS9 when it originally aired and also did much better on streaming. Despite its popularity in the fandom DS9 was actually the underdog in the 90s.

Phillip Grischa

Voyager is simply more popular with the general audience, there's no big secret to uncover here.

StonyD

Time's change. DS9 generally had higher ratings than Voyager. However, some of that could be chalked up between one on syndication and one on a single dedicated broadcast channel (UPN).

Lost Monk

Trek these days sucks.

Spencer Loften

I just hope they realize that people who watch Star Trek don't care about having a huge CGI budget when they do eventually bring Trek back to TV. At times I felt like Kurtzman wanted to turn Star Trek into Star Wars... Funny how the best show under his run was a whimsical animated show.

tbrose83

I keep hearing rumors of a "Year One" spinoff from SNW

JoeCensored

I predict your channel will get even more popular the further along you get. People can just binge watch and get hooked on your unique format.

JoeCensored

New Paramount leadership. Give them a little time to figure out what direction they want to take it.

Dipper

At this point I'm planning on being around in one form or another for the entire ride. There's something about a good, honest reaction team that can even make things you hate enjoyable because you either get to watch them hate it too (vindication!) or you get to see them bring you a new appreciation for it (coughcoughSubRosacough). So y'know, it shifts from being about the cool things that you're watching to being about you watching cool things.

International Man of Leisure

You don't HAVE to watch VOY & DS9 concurrently. They don't really cross streams. I like that she's skipping VOY for now so she can concentrate on DS9 and follow the flow more easily. It's the way DS9 was always meant to be watched & enjoyed. And it won't take years for her to complete the journey, especially at 2 eps a week.

Imogen S

I didn't realise my dreams of Legacy were quite so sturdy, but it seems they haven't been crushed by this news? I may be delusional 🥲
