Chrisjen's daughter has been mentioned multiple times and in multiple seasons, but its not been forefront to either her actions or her motivations (unlike her dead son) . And the child in Chrisjen's home during several scenes in the first season is the daughter's son. With the book material already released when the first season was being written the writers included a lot of background material that actually didn't come up until much later books, to better flesh out the universe. But its all blink and you'll miss it.

I was beginning to wonder, guys! Did I tell you that I love this show? Yup. I do. \o/ I wonder what's in store next episode...Hmmmmm

Yeah, sucks there's no Amos this episode. Hopefully he wasn't near the impact site. I mean, even if he was, he's Amos, he'll just brush it off. The best thing about S5 compared to 4 is that it actually has momentum. In S4, both the asteroid impact and Filip's introduction would be 7 or 8 episodes in. I get that there are too many parallel plotlines, but at least everything but Amos' story moved forward significantly here. Also with the stealth asteroids hitting Earth, Chrisjen's, Bobbie and Alex's, Holden and Johnson's, and Naomi's stories are all starting to converge. It's not the typical "move 1 story forward and have a token scene for the rest that accomplishes next to nothing". I wonder what would have happened if Avasarala publicly stated that she believed Marco was sending stealth rocks at Earth? Yeah, it would almost certainly end her political career, expose her undercover operation, and potentially land her in prison if any top secret intel was revealed. I suppose she could find ways to avoid that last bit. But making a claim that stealth rocks are heading for Earth could certainly cause a panic, and that would end her career. On the other hand, it would put Nancy Gao in a tough spot. If she dismisses the claims as Avasarala's insane ramblings, and then the asteroids start hitting, now HER political career is over at the very least. She could possibly be arrested for gross negligence for ignoring such a serious threat because of a personal vendetta. Making the threat public might cause a panic, but it would force Gao's hand. Glad you guys are at least enjoying S5. And yeah, random Thomas Jane director credit. He did good.

There's other good belter characters that you probably forget are Belters like Prax - because they aren't high level OPA leader like Ashford, Dawes, Fred Johnson, and Drummer.

Holden as Goku holding back the asteroid lmao, that's a great visual. It is still a case that what many fans love about the Expanse isn't what hooks you, the Holden / Fred Johnson main sci-fi plot is the most captivating for me but, hey, you guys make me love the Amos and Bobby / Alex lines even more.

Having listened to the complete series (9 books) of audiobooks three times, and watched the TV series about the same (3 times), all I can say is -- you guys are NUTS!! (and I like you guys...)

Target Audience

Oh yeah, if Prax is considered a belter then that's a great example

Definitely a pattern here where you two unfortunately criticize the show based on mistakes on your own part or missing information during all jokes being told. There's no point in time where Marco told anyone about his plans against Earth, not sure where Alex got that from. Ashford and Drummer both came to a conclusion that he was definitely up to no good but NO ONE was aware an attack was coming for Earth. There's no reason why the UN (especially in all its arrogance) would entertain the idea of Marco getting ready to attack THE PLANET itself. An act of piracy would be believable, maybe some mischief on a station but nobody would think a mere Belter was about to go toe to toe with one of the inner planets. This is even more true since in this verse no Belter faction possesses the capacity to go to to toe with the UNN or MCRN let alone attack either of the planets directly. There was nothing to, 'defend ourselves' about even in mere assumption. As Felix correctly states, "a person bringing up that theory even to Chrisjen would be laughed out of the office!"
