Chapter 5 - Infant Dragon. (Patreon)

POV: Rui
Time passed, and we continued descending. As we went deeper, the monsters kept getting stronger, but even so, I never faltered and continued facing them head-on. By the time we reached the 12th floor, a dense fog had taken over the surroundings.
I let out a sigh after killing a group of Imps.
They had set up a trap that Ais noticed, so I massacred them within seconds. They're weak monsters, but intelligent and cunning. If I had been alone, I probably would have suffered some injuries.
“Are you not tired?” Ais asked.
I was breathing a little heavily, and I was definitely somewhat tired.
But honestly, this is fun.
Before I stepped into the Dungeon, I thought I would be scared and that fighting monsters would be difficult, but that wasn't the case. The moment I started fighting, I had a great time. I feel like I could do this for hours.
“Don't worry, I'm fine.” I showed my blood-stained fists. “It's fun punching those things.”
“Alright. If you want to keep fighting, you can continue. We'll step in if necessary,” Ais said. She's being pretty understanding. I thought they wouldn't like just standing around watching, but they don't seem to mind.
It's almost as if they're actually enjoying watching.
Tiona said that "I" never liked fighting and that I'm lazy. I guess they're so excited and interested in watching me fight because I supposedly don't do it very often.
The owner of this body was certainly a... problem.
Huff~~ I let out a breath and took a few steps forward.
The fog was thick, and I couldn't see very far despite having better-than-normal eyesight. Then suddenly, I saw something large in the distance. Something large that was moving rapidly in my direction.
“An Infant Dragon!” Tiona shouted.
An Infant Dragon?
Isn't that the monster Bell fought before leveling up!?
The monster quickly approached, dispersing the fog in front of it. I looked seriously at the dinosaur-like creature. A wingless dragon with a somewhat intimidating appearance.
Its body looked incredibly sturdy.
“Rui, can you handle that on your own?” Tiona looked visibly worried. “You're already tired, aren't you? Let's help!”
For the first time, Tiona grabbed her massive sword.
Then I clenched my fist and said, “It's fine. I can handle it.” And then I activated the skill "Boost."
I hadn't used it much before because it wasn't necessary, so I still had plenty of magic left. I ran toward the Infant Dragon to face it head-on. It opened its mouth and roared. I heard Tiona shout something, but I didn't care.
With a smile on my face, I avoided the Infant Dragon's jaws and slipped past it, then delivered a powerful kick to the side of its body using all my strength.
As expected, even though it was sent flying, it didn't suffer any serious injuries. It only made it angrier.
“Its body is way too tough. It'd be nice if I had a blade to use.”
I thought the system would appear and give me some kind of weapon, but that didn't happen.
I guess I'm asking for too much.
*ROOOAR!!!*
Now recovered, the dragon roared and charged at me once again. It couldn't move as efficiently as I could, and the only way it could attack me was by trying to bite me, which definitely wasn't going to happen.
Avoiding its bites was far too easy.
So I began attacking the Infant Dragon all over its body.
Punches, kicks, and more punches.
I mainly targeted its belly and legs to restrict its movements. But the Infant Dragon's most vulnerable point proved to be its neck.
After striking its belly and legs several times, I started feeling tired. Then I noticed that its neck was somewhat soft and very flexible.
It's probably more sensitive.
So I got the Infant Dragon's attention while breathing heavily.
The Infant Dragon, now slower due to what were probably internal injuries, charged at me again.
I activated "Boost" one last time and dodged its bite once more. Then I grabbed its neck and squeezed with all my strength. The Infant Dragon started thrashing around and stomping its feet against the ground, causing it to tremble.
However, no matter how much it struggled, it couldn't shake me off.
As I broke its neck and strangled it with my bare hands, I even bit it with my teeth for some reason.
I just wanted to vent my anger on this monster.
The anger of being sent to another world.
Am I more handsome now? Yes. Do I have the possibility of sleeping with many beautiful women thanks to this system? Yes.
But right now, I'd rather be lying comfortably in my bed than fighting a giant monster!
Then the Infant Dragon finally died.
And with it, my anger completely disappeared.
I looked at the three girls staring at me in apparent surprise and smiled.
'Well, I'll definitely get used to living in this world soon enough.'

After I killed the Infant Dragon, I decided to rest and let the girls handle pretty much everything else. Before I knew it, we had already reached the 18th floor and were heading toward Rivira.
The moment I entered the 18th floor, I was surprised by the beauty of the place, so before heading to Rivira, I said I wanted to explore a little.
I moved away from the group, but after walking for only a few minutes, someone suddenly touched my waist.
I looked back and saw Tiona smiling at me.
“Hehehe, you've gained a little weight. That must be why you got tired so quickly.”
“What do you want?”
“Hmm? I just want to walk with you. Can't I?”
“...”
After staring at her for a few seconds, I said,
“You can.”
“Great. Come on, follow me. I'll take you somewhere interesting.”
Tiona suddenly grabbed my hand and began leading me somewhere.
