News for 2021! (Patreon)

Hello everyone! I hope that your holidays have been safe and not too dim. I wanted to post this update prior to the new year because I needed to make everyone here aware before announcing this anywhere else

I have decided to take a few months off from Patreon and social media to rest in the upcoming year. I haven’t had a chance to really take a prolonged break from drawing since 2017, and I kept pushing myself to try to keep up with social media standards, which was unwise of me. I unfortunately have overworked my wrist a lot and it’s possible I could have developed carpal tunnel the other night. I haven’t been able to see a doctor since then but the tendon of my thumb to my wrist became so strained that it was bulging from my palm, and I also felt severe pain and numbness in my wrist, thumb and forefinger (which are symptoms of CT). I have had my wrist wrapped for a few days and it’s helping me a lot but my palm is bruised in the area where I experienced the strain and I’m going to try to let myself heal as long as I can, as well as seeing a doctor to assess me for further instruction on what I should do.

I plan on keeping my Patreon page up, but I will be pausing pledges for the month of January and possibly following months if I still feel the need to rest. I have already began my break from drawing but plan to take the entire month of January off from it completely to allow myself time to heal. I am still running a DTIYS challenge on Instagram and I will be taking my time to work on the prizes for the challenge after I feel I’ve rested long enough.

I want to thank you all so much for supporting my art and being there for me during this unpredictable year, I appreciate it so much 💕 I’ll try to post updates every once in a while to let everyone know how things are going! I’m happy to have time to rest, but I’m also eager to get back to drawing, and I’m hoping I’ll have some new inspiration when I return!! I hope you all have a good end to this crazy year, and hopefully 2021 will be a nice change
