Oh no, Stacey—what have you done?

Another redraw of an iconic Stacey scene. This one comes from the time when I opened a second Instagram account with Stacey blog-style entries. I had a lot of fun with that. Whenever I was out in nature with my doggo, I was always on the lookout for spots to take photos that I could then post on Stacey’s Instagram. A small grass snake, an abandoned cabin, something wrapped in a blue trash bag and thrown into the bushes…

What always bothered me, though, was that Stacey was active between 2002 and 2006—back when there really wasn’t any internet. That made the whole “lost and found” Instagram channel of a serial killer feel pretty implausible.

That’s why, in the current Stacey era, I shut down the Instagram account and instead built several Web 1.0–style templates to represent Stacey’s traces on the internet in a more appropriate way.

Someone has archived everything Stacey-related over the years and is now uploading it to the @staceyweathersarchive account on Instagram. Who that is? Hmmmm…SPOILER: it’s Branford 😄

And this post shows Stacey after her first kill. No idea who she killed—but maybe I’ll expand on that in the future.
