(Alas, if only next Monday fell on April 1st--Rake would be launching into "One" from A Chorus Line.)

Love how dramatics he’s getting

I adore this old wolf so much. What a great singer he is

Rake is so much fun, I could watch this diva all day. His "victorian fainting lady" gesture makes me swoon ❤️

His dramatic flair for storytelling is very enjoyable, a contrast to Gristle’s more subdued storytelling vibes. It also feels like this overdramatic flair to the origin story is going to weave into the pack’s cult-like behavior somehow.

I've always been fascinated by the evolutionary consequences of "revenge." The fact that megafauna are more wary of humans in environments where we'd co-evolved with them, and how anthropophagic predators usually did not last much longer than the acquisition of fire. I wonder if the bison got wise to how effective of a strategy it is.

In the left corner panel. I love that his forehead fur pattern aligned with his floppy ears.

Hi Teagan, I wanted to ask something. Is Rake actually singing or is he narrating the story (it all rhymes very nicely, by the way). Does singing songs mean telling stories to the wolves?

He's just meant to be a very good orator, and I imagine their term 'singing' comes from some ancient language shift from howling to story telling.

Thank you for your answer. It's really nice to know that.
