The backgrounds and colors have been so moody these last couple pages. I love how Rask has these warm tones behind him, and how visually separated he is from Oren and the others. Especially clear in 402 but still here.

Poor Rask, fits in nowhere. It really is such an interesting story premise how stuck in the middle he is. Sucks for him though!

On the previous page I was wondering: Cedar? Hemlock? Oren being uncharacteristically cruel? Nope, it's just Yarrow's ghost come back to give his kid a hard time. I hope Rask snaps back at those mice.

Unlikely. The entire pivotal conflict is of the naturally powerful choosing (or not choosing) progress out of a cycle of violence. If one lacks the ability to inflict harm, then they are merely harmless, and so the choice to be peaceful is meaningless. The story is about the clash of societies and unjust systems, not about one individual finding a place on the other side of the fence, so I expect that Teagan isn't going to give us easy resolutions to any problems. ;)
