Kind of sad, I mean good for egg not being butchered up and being safe to some degree but you can tell she's lonely. Also Gives us a bit of info on how in the wild there is not a lot of 'get along' even between non antagonistic species. I adore how much is packed into this without it feeling like a big speech. I mean of course I could be wrong in my interpenetration but I feel the story gives us a lot of info.
