In all fairness, marten would be very stinky, especially to prey animals. I know Hemlock is being salty, but it's a nice touch I appriciate it. I'm a sucker for sentimentality so I hope Rask can prove himself and she maybe can find some peace. But I won't hold my breath.

In their defence they've never been in a real fighting situation as we humans know it. They have still a lot to learn (just because you own spears doesn't make you a soldier).

Unless they are allied with the ground bound. We have wolves and crows working together for the benefit of both. Who knows if there are raptors working with others. Then the spear becomes useful.

Rabbits have a pretty silly field of vision and they notice movement pretty damn fast. Not to mention the hearing.
