I’ve been wondering if by “same goes for prey” Gristle was referring to Oren. Does he think Oren made him chase after him out of ego?

Dhaka Yeena

Whoa I never even noticed what was left

Reseen Dalls

Sweet how, like Sprig before, he confesses his past dark desires, and works to go beyond the simple remorse. Makes them relatable and inspiring at the same time (even through he's scaring poor Egg).

Lauri

I do wonder, with all these tribes/packs, what about the predators that live singular lives by their nature? o.o

BritishRabbit

I suspect he understands Hemlock more than Hemlock realises, maybe that's why he looked so sad when she bailed.

It never occured to me to ask until now, but are the two wolves in Gristle's story Seral and Gristle's daughter, whose name escapes me? Though I would expect them to look a lot younger, or him to look a lot older

The two wolves that are in Gristle's story are his mate (Swift's mom) and his brother (Seral's dad.) Gristle's age difference is kind of hard to tell on screen, but 'old' Gristle has a lot more white on his face and his colors are faded. If this short ever makes it into print, I'll make sure it's color corrected to show his age a bit more.
