Month end progress report (Patreon)

We left January behind us quickly, didn't we? But maybe I just feel that way because I've been busy. Let's start with Rise of the Crime Lord. Chapter 10 is shaping up nicely. The writing has started, and I'm currently focusing on Rick and Cora's journey together. That in itself is exciting, as events would have unfolded somewhat differently if Cora had rejected Reg's advances, or if she hadn't rejected them at all.

The writing process is made somewhat difficult by the fact that I have to create a plot with a more negative and a more positive tone in parallel, and jumping from one emotional state to the other is a demanding task. Also, Cora is making a serious decision about her marriage (will be a similar decision as Rick's two previous decisions), which was not easy to write. It took me three attempts to create what I had in mind.

Also, I had an interesting conversation on Discord that put some new light on some things about Rick and Cora's marriage. Because of this, I'm rewriting the beginning of their thread together, and I'm also going to rewrite the beginning of Rick's separate thread (I haven't started that yet). Don't worry, I'm not going off the beaten track, I just want to give Rick and Cora's relationship a bit of a boost, so to speak.

When will this be a finished chapter? Well, certainly not before May, and even with that I am very optimistic. My plan at the moment is that once I've written Rick and Cora's common thread, I'll transcribe it into python and then start rendering. But that's just one thread, plus there's the others - Cora-Miranda, Cora-Beth, Cora alone, Rick hiking with the twins, Rick hiking only with Ashley and Rick not hiking at all. So it's not even out of the question that I will publish each thread separately. Obviously the pace will also be affected by the speed at which I can render each stage. Either way, I'm focusing first on writing Rick and Cora's thread by the end of February. From a writing perspective, this is the most difficult stage, because previous decisions affect not only the events, but also their relationship with each other.

I'd like to take this opportunity to announce that there will be absolutely no NTR content, real or perceived, in the game. There will also be no extended or extra versions, everyone will get the same version, just at different times. Also, of course, in the future you will then get access to two games, not one.
