Rise of the Crime Lord: Pool party (Patreon)

When writing a long chapter, to get a feel for the mood of each scene, I create pictures what I call feeling images. But you could also call them conceptual images. They help me to understand the situation of a character, or to see if an imagined scene is feasible, or give me inspiration when I see the scene. The "Bonus images" folder in the "Extra" folder of the extended version of Rise of the Crime Lord contains such images.

Well, Chapter 10 is still being written, unfortunately I'm stuck on a section. I haven't managed to get Rick and Reg "together" yet, so their conversations, especially the version where Reg was arguing with Cora, were completely forced. So for this scene, I will also create a concept image similar to the one above.

The picture above was taken for a later scene that I have already written. Since I don't necessarily think of each event in a linear sequence, I sometimes write the later sections first. Especially when it's an important conversation and I don't want to forget the details. And I created this picture for such an important conversation.

The image itself in this form probably won't make it into Chapter 10, but Rick and Cora alone in the pool talking and drinking champagne (and doing other things) will be in it.
