Hello there! It's May 8 and no month end progress report, no news on Rise of the Crime Lord Chapter 10, no new update for Distant Horizon. WTF, right? Well, the thing is, yes, I am a bit late with all this. Partly because I misread the calendar, so by the time I realised April was over, it was already May. The rest was spent doing a little thinking, a little working, a little everything. But let's go in order.

Let's start with Chapter 10 of Rise of the Crime Lord. Although I promised in April to show more pictures from the upcoming chapter, I didn't show any. There's no particular reason for it, I didn't plan it that way, I didn't want to push Distant Horizon to the fore, it just came out that way. But I have a lot to show you, because I finished the beginning of each thread.

Unfortunately, this showed that there is still a lot of work to be done on this chapter. For this reason, if I release it in one piece, you won't be able to play it for a very long time. So I finally came to the decision I mentioned earlier: I will publish it by thread. So, like Chapter 9, it will be split into several parts. But which thread comes out first is up to you. I will launch a two-round poll this week. I ask Patrons in the first round - their vote will count for more -, and everyone else in the second. Then I will average the results.

Plus, while I'm at it, I'll share some pictures of the upcoming chapter in this post, which you can see above and below. The very first one is from the Rick-Cora thread, in the airport shown earlier. In the second one, Rick wakes up alone after going to the party alone (or having a fight with Miranda or the night didn't work out with Ash) and not going over to Jake's. The third picture shows Miri getting ready for work. You can get this if Rick went to the party with Miranda, they slept together and she's not working at Don Papa's. And finally, the fourth picture shows Ashley, this show if Rick went to the party with her and everything went well.

And now for Distant Horizon 0.4, which is delayed, because I still haven't caught up with the backlog caused by my illness in March. But the update is slowly being finished, only the translation and animations are left, and there will be a lot of the latter in this update. Plus, if it turned like this, I scheduled what I had planned to do, just a little later. I had planned to always have the official release on the first day of the month, but for the first three updates, only Consigliere patrons could get the game on the first day. So, I wanted to modify the schedule so that Contabile availability would be on the 1st (which I consider the official release) and Consigliere patreons would get it a week before. And the others after that. So, as a result of that, this is how v0.4 will be released:

Consigliere – May 25.

Contabile – June 1.

Caporegime – June 6.

Soldato – July 1.

And in the future, I will then try to manage the publication of Distant Horizon according to this schedule. And then let me tell you a bit about the new update.

In the first half, Hannah gets a slightly bigger role. My intention is for you to get to know MC's wife a little better, since one of the central elements of the story is to find out what happened to her. After all, no one is interested in a person they don't know. So, to understand MC's motivation, we need to get to know Hannah. For which I will use other methods either, not just flashbacks, but I will keep quiet about them for the time being, because I think they will be quite surprising.

And in the second half of the update, MC and Skye will finally get some answers to some questions, although these will largely lead to new questions. And they must also realise that they are in more trouble than they thought. But what could be more dangerous than drifting among the stars on a deserted ship? Well, find out in update v0.4.
