Great timing 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

ashley kuate

Perfect! Studying can definitely wait

Halima

“They shouldn’t be called the Salvatore brothers, they should be called the Weird brothers” I’m crying bruh 😭😭😭

l4yahcore

caroline needa stop doing all that yelling damon wouldn't killed liz especiallly when they formed a bond

Laura❤️

Caroline is one of the only ones that is actually better off as a vampire. She’s a badass!!

Halima

Damon is definitely the more locked in of the two brothers, even if his methods can be ruthless at times. I still think he was wrong to attack Mason because that’s the only reason Mason went after them this episode, but he was 100% right not to trust him from the jump.

ashley kuate

Damon said in the last season that Elena might qualify as his only friend, but I love how in this episode we see that it's in fact not true. He's many things sure, but when he cares about someone he CARES. I also love how he spoke up for Caroline too, that was sweet

Halima

I lowkey agree with Sophie that Elena is a little delusional thinking a relationship with a vampire can work out long term. I think she’s very attached to Stefan and willing to go through all this with him because their relationship is the only levity really she’s had in her life pretty much since her parents died, and it’s even worse now with all the chaos going on.

Paynekiller96

Mason was completely justified in not trusting the Salvatores and outing them to Liz. Like he said, he made Damon the same offer of peace and he turned it down with a silver knife. Mason had no way of knowing if Stefan’s offer was genuine or that he could even control Damon, which he can’t. Also I feel like if we’re gonna try to use Damon’s intuition as justification for him going after Mason, John Gilbert is a poor example of that. John is a founding family member and was upfront with his (JUSTIFIABLE) intentions with the vamps from the beginning. There was no intuition or suspicion necessary

Cierra Monaé

lmao I’m sorry but Sophie calling blood bags “human packets” is hilarious

Zanni

The whole show is consists of several different species dating or marrying other different species😂 The heart wants what it wants. It is what it is😂 That's the world we're watching. I low key love how it brings out the complexities and nuances of tvd. Like our sis Liz now has a Vampire daughter by mistake😭 Just gotta accept it atp.

urfriendv

Caroline catches a stray from Mair every episode 😭

Kim Cottingham

Stefan is like an alcoholic. So doesn't matter if it's blood bag or human.

Zanni

Lol not everyone thinking Katherine came back to town ONLY for Stefan😂That would literally be too obvious, too easy. And there's the fact that, if Katherine has been alive all this time, then why didn't she just find Stefan earlier? The reveal of her orchestrating Mason's entire werewolf transformation still gives me chills😭

thank u next

I like where yall are going. Very neutral and calling balls & strikes. You don't have the blinders on for any camp. I'm always gonna be Team Stefan bc that's my man lol. But I can fully appreciate he may have areas that need to be called out as well. So exciting for what's to come. This season cooks more than y'all even realize 🔥

Damon was impulsive and lightweight irresponsible as a human - 145 years later those qualities are amplified. He didn’t have to kill Zach, Lexi, Vicky, Alaric, Uncle John, Bree or Jeremy. He almost killed Bonnie because he was mad. That would’ve been a huge tragedy. And I think Bonnie has the right idea never forgetting what he’s capable of. He acts impulsively and it’s not always for the best. It’s oftentimes bc he’s emotional rather than strategic. Stefan was helping Damon investigate Mason - he was just as suspicious. But Damon being extra impatient created an enemy when he really could’ve just watched him for an extra day smh

Mnewmoon

Thank you Mair for pointing out this truth about Damon that he’s always on point because one thing I want to tell you is that never underestimate Damon’s intuition. You will understand this more as you go on with the show. In the last episode everyone blamed Damon that he shouldn’t turn down Mason’s offer about peace. Now as the viewers we see in this episode that Mason was way shadier than we can imagine, he was working with Katherine this entire time and that’s why Damon didn’t buy what Mason said at Jenna’s barbecue when he said that “I’m not your enemy” as I said, Damon is incredibly intuitive and he’s so quick to pick up on someone’s behaviour to see if they’re trustworthy so he knew something was up with him and he couldn’t be trusted but the way he went about it, attacking him with a silver knife without fully researching about it first was impulsive and he needed to be more careful when he want to make a move against a creature that he knows nothing about, That was his mistake and he learned his lesson. Another thing I want to talk about is that I absolutely loved the way Damon stood up to Liz for Caroline in this episode. At first when Caroline turned in to a vampire, Damon thought she wouldn’t be able to make it as one but now that she’s proven herself to him and he can see that she’s handling it just fine, he started to develop the sense of admiration and respect for her, enough to defend her to her mom in this episode. Also given the fact he has experienced something similar with his dad made this scene even more impactful. What Damon’s father did was even worse, he tried to kill them even before they were vampires, he didn’t know that they had vampire blood in their system. He killed them as humans who were only vampire sympathisers and were helping them to escape. Giuseppe Salvatore was suffering from Narcissistic personality disorder and because of this, he only cared about his public image more than anything else in the world so the moment he saw his sons helping the vampires and how this could bring shame to him and his family, he decided to get rid of them immediately, so this way he could persevere his public persona among other founding families. He didn’t care about his sons, he only cared about his reputation.

What I love about TVD is that every characters has a role to play in our Mysticfalls gang based on their unique strength and the weaknesses they bring to the table. Stefan is the diplomat and the harmoniser of our group. He usually goes for the least conflicted solution to contain peace and stability however temporary it might be which could work out so well sometimes every body loves a sweet tongue but if you push too hard to establish a fake peace between two obviously opposite forces, things might backfire so much worse than you expected and there’s also a shadow side to being a good communicator, they can be master manipulators because they know their way around words and know how to bend the structure of their sentences to their will so they can get exactly what they want out of the situation or a person. Stefan would’ve been a great politician as a human. On the other hand Damon is the voice of truth and action in this show. He’s the action man, the one who would not sit around and wait to see what happens, he’s the one who set things in motion and gives directions to the already unharmonised energies in an environment of chaos and conflict. His mentality is “taking action first, dealing with consequences next”, I would say that in the fictional world they live in when there’s constant danger and you’re always on the verge of losing your life, Damon’s approach would be more helpful because one moment of hesitation could cost your life and we need a quick thinker who can deal with immediate danger on sight but not thinking properly before taking action can sometimes put you in a lot of trouble and that might create more problem so this is what Damon needs to learn that he needs to strategise more carefully before taking a proper action. Damon would’ve been a great business man or a CEO as a human. So both approaches has its own pros and cons but I believe in our TVD universe, Damon’s approach is so much more needed because we need someone who would do absolutely anything what ever it takes to get things done without hesitation so if he could work on his impulsivity a little more he might end up being the leader of our gang whether they trust him or not because he would still do what ever it takes to protect his loved ones whether they like his methods or not.

Athasin

Love the reaction to Caroline handling business.

Weezy

I’m not a Damon fan never will be, although he is somewhat right about Mason. Here’s the thing if he never had stabbed Mason then there would be no conflict between them. Mason could’ve easily just got the moonstone from Tyler and went on about his business and never had to interact with the Salvatore. Damon is the root of the problem and a lot of people bypass this because of his softness. The whole arc of season one was the cause of Damon, even if Stefan never came back to mystic falls Damon would’ve still came back for that dumb tomb. Also Damon turned Caroline into a vampire not Stefan, him and Bonnie had an agreement about giving Caroline blood that had nothing to do with Stefan. Like yes Stefan can be very annoying but he’s like 35% of the blame for most of the things that’s happening.

One thing abt this show is that every character has their flaws. And It also being supernatural, I feel like the morals that we humans have, don’t apply to them most of the time. Bc if we think abt it they’re vampires, they need blood to survive whether they kill for it or steal blood bags. Like the morals are automatically out the window lol. Then some of them have lived for hundreds of years, after a while their morals are gonna have to be broken. In order to truly be fans of someone on this show, we have to forget abt the fact that they’re hundreds of years old trying to blend in with the humans at some point, if that makes sense.

Lilly Le

I mean it's ok to love complex, flawed characters...esp in the context of a supernatural show lol. That's what makes it interesting.

So far i'm not like anyone's fan, i relate the most to catherine because i also had a very absent guardian so seeing that relationship gave me flashbacks and Catherine is not a bitch to act that way with her mom. If the mom has been absent and not acted like how a mother should be, why should caroline give her grace especially if catherine's mom has not consistenly done the work to be awarded that grace, i never understood why people hated that about Caroline. What i was getting to is that i am not like a fan fan of everyone,. What i do hate is how people gave shit about killing humans (not about the consequences of it but the fact that they was feeding or killing humans) and it never made sense to me. The show has mentioned or inferred many times than when you are a vampire you have a nature to kill prey(Humans, animals) so it makes sense why, by nature ,they did that since we are literally prey to them. It like how humans can kill cows, chickens and fish without feeling any remorse when they are eating them( except for vegans) so why should they care about the humans. I understand it may seem like oh that vampire is bad because they feed on humans (I blame stephan for such ideology ) and it is unethical but it's because the ethics that we are preaching does not consider the vampire's nature and anatomy so to me its not ethical. I see it as poor writing sometimes (depending on a show's execution) because screenwriters start writing their vampire characters as humans not as how vampiress should behave. Obviously there are exceptions like people being uncomfortable with drinking human blood.

booger

Caroline been down for the set💯

you also have to remember that being involved with Stefan may put Elena in danger more, but being Katherine's doppelgänger alone is enough to put her in danger. Eventually, even without Stefan's involvement, she'd get wrapped up in it. Katherine made friends and enemies everywhere... So realistically it was bound to catch up to her regardless.
