I love Delena for so many reasons. One of the reasons is because Damon never cared if she was a vampire or human he loved her either way and no matter what. Whereas Stefan just wanted Elena to be human when she was a vampire. Another is they have great chemistry. Despite the sire bond. They obviously care sm about each other. She has always seen the good in him which I have liked and when she became a vampire he never treated her differently he still loved her and accepted her and never asked her to change who she was. I just love Delena sm.

I voted for neither. When VD first premiered I was team Stelena, but as an adult I don't care or like neither ships now. Stefan deserved way better than how Elena treated him. She crossed lines with Damon, going back and forth with them and also made Stefan feel guilty about things he was already feeling guilty for. Delena's ship was just plain gross to me not just because Damon is Stefan's brother but because Elena falling for the guy that killed her brother, treated her friends and family like trash by disrespecting AND assaulting them and her pretending to care at first but then switching up and invalidating their feelings about him and their relationship and getting mad just because they rightfully didn't approve 🙄 they changed her entire character just to make the ship work and it was weird. But if I had to pick I'd choose her to be with Stefan. It made sense for her to be with the "boring" one, than the one that didn't care if her friends and family died and apparently could only do good if he was dating her, which is lame af.

I understand why people are team Stelena for many reasons but I’m team delena because I personally feel like she always had to be perfect around Stefan especially when she became a vampire when Elena is with Damon he brings out confident and fearless side of her a side that I feel like she suppresses when she is with stefan and Elena brings out a softer side of Damon that we usually never see (also I’m team delena because I genuinely find stefan so annoying when he’s with elena ) even though I love that stefan lets elena make her own choices the difference between the two brothers is that stefan can’t stand the thought of elena hating him that’s why he would always go along with her plans even though they were just dumb but Damon would do anything to protect her and wouldn’t mind Elena hating him for it as long as she was alive he didn’t care stefan also has a hero complex because let’s be so fr what business did he have saving Matt before elena at the end of s3

Delena will never make sense to me. How can you be in a relationship with a man who sexually assaulted your best friend and tried to kill your sibling after you rejected his advances? I swear Damon only gets away with this crap because women find him hot. If he was played by a less attractive actor, I guarantee you the conversation around him would be different.

Damon's chemistry with Elena is a lot more passionate and better than Stefan's chemistry, I guess it could be because they were dating in real life, though. Also the songs that play when Damon and Elena are together is straight up heat.

Team Stelena for seasons 1-3, team neither for the rest of the series. They have better romantic chemistry and better couple moments. Delena will never make sense to me (now anyways). That man abused her friends and never apologised, killed her brother because she rejected him, and was so controlling. I can’t even say much more cause of spoilers but if you know you know. Their dance in early s4 ate though, I’ll give them that.

He doesn't put her on a pedestal, and he accepts every side of her even when she's confused, angry, or making mistakes. Stefan makes Elena feel safe, but Damon makes her feel understood. Those are two very different things."
