Gus suspected Hector of snitching to the DEA so that’s why he had his employee check the room for recording devices possibly put there by the DEA. Hector supposedly becoming a snitch also is what caused Gus to want to kill him, because he kept him around to torment forever because he knew hector, being a cartel member, would never snitch. But once it seemed like hector was talking to the DEA, he became too much of a liability to gus, which is what caused him to try and finally kill him

Gus had nothing to do with killing any kids. It was those gangbangers that took it upon themselves to kill that kid. I guess they felt if they couldn’t use the kid to deal anymore for them, that they justkill him. Gus did not order them to kill.
