Ned is not the father. He said Jon was his bastard to keep him safe. When he said "you have my blood" he was talking about his sister's. Jon's father's identity is still vauge at this point but it was never implied that Ned was in a relationship with his sister.

As much as I thought Tommen was weak, I felt SO bad for him this episode. He was just a child and he was being pulled in all different directions, being used as a pawn in people's games. Cersei and Margaery's arrest already sent him into a depression refusing to eat or see anyone and Margaery's death was just the last straw. His life was a complete tragedy.

This was a perfect reaction. So many plot arcs were resolved. I feel as though this episode sets the stage for the rest of the show. Mair, you said it best when you alluded to the feelings you had with Breaking Bad. I'm a huge Breaking Bad fan and I feel as though this episode is one of the greatest in television history, right behind Ozymandias and Felina of Breaking Bad. Thanks for doing what you do guys! Watching each episode with you is like getting to watch it for the first time all over again!

Loved this reaction. It conveyed more emotion than any previous! However guys Jon is not Ned’s son, he’s his nephew. Why was there a war? Why did Raeghar post his best knights to protect Lyanana? Good reaction. I don't believe in spoilers, so not spoiling anything by just letting you guys know the takeaway you were supposed to get was that Ned was actually not Jon's father. That is a very unique perspective that I haven't seen ANYONE get at before lol (Ned/Lyanna incest), or at least remember anyone assuming. Obviously you can easily put things together if you just remember Robert's Rebellion (why would Robert kill him if he found out?), but other than that - really all you need to understand right now is Jon is NOT Ned's son.
