Seen quotes elsewhere that Hertz have agreed to cover the cost of unsold tkts 🤷🏼‍♂️ at Hampden… unlikely to see any extra briefs for us as they will sell tkts in all there sections

Russ

Fair point about the physical change that can happen between 16-18, by all accounts Scott McTominay grew near enough a foot in the space of a year when he was in the Man Utd u18's.

Andy Gray

Tune! Let’s do this Gers!

Russ

Aye it doesn't get spoken about that much but rapid growth for a young footballer can be a career killer - the damage it can do to your co-ordination must be tough to deal with.

Gary Brown

Thanks for the update David and James for the Benfica presser coverage.

The SFA don’t even pretend to hide their own prejudice anymore. Aberdeen should’ve been given the opportunity to sell half the tickets. I have no problem with it if they can’t, because they can always be filled by the Old Firm. It’s the fact they are getting more tickets from the off. The situation with academies is actually at a breaking point for some clubs. It may get to the point where clubs will stop running academies and just running a couple of development sides. The thing is if clubs from smaller countries started withdrawing support for academies then the big sides would complain about us and UEFA would make it one of their rules we have to have an academy. We’d respond with the minimum support and would stop scouting. Rangers should be working more closely as a lobby group within UEFA. That would be a start. I’ve long thought that if we are to leave the Scottish game, then it would be for a continental league with these side in a similar situation, but I’d rather we stay and try to improve the game here. But push will come to shove on this issue at some point, because it’s’ unsustainable.

Any chance Cantwell might start? Thinking that if he comes on early in second half and game goes to extra time he might end up having to play more minutes that the manager would want.

Stephen

You could argue that Rangers and Celtic do exactly the same thing to smaller clubs. We have taken young players from Motherwell ,Hibs and Partick Thistle etc in recent years. Also took guys like Aribo and Lovelace from English for very low fees.
