Sick of the referees in this league. Incompetence on another level BTW get Tav off the penalties.

I know the refs are just crap in our league for every team but today was unbelievable. We are getting refereed to a different standard from refs who are terrified to give us anything and some of them definitely look suspect. I've never really believed they were out to get us but this season has me starting to change my mind and its only getting worse the closer to the end it gets. Him giving them the ball back at that one when Sterling won it fairly and his header fell to Lawrence running into the box was mental, is that the rules?

Colin Kennedy

Thought Lunny and Diomonde were excellent today. Good balance in the middle 👍.

Graham Miller

Never seen a free kick given when a rebound goal from a pen for encroachment why not a retake. Has the law changed?

Colin Munro

Thot the ‘Gallows’ at 70-75mins from all around stadium really got the players goin again 👍🔴⚪️🔵

Alan Riddell

That was a complete incompetent refereeing performance from DICKinson. How many drop balls did he give them today ? The Hibs player encroached same way as wright did so should have been a retake. However, 3 point and onwards and upwards.

John Breen

What’s the rule for a penalty retake. I remember McGregor saving two pens in Europe for a player doing the same thing

Gary Brown

Not seen it back yet but me & all round me convinced it should've been a retake. Was up our end and we're level with the D / 18yd line. Google ifab at HT and its Law 14. Encroachment by attacking player. If pen is no goal = Indirect free kick. Retake if was a defending player. If Tav had scored and encroachment by attacking player or a defending player or both = retake. It's in the 'learn something new everyday' for me and no doubt a few others. Not seen it again but I'd bet both sides were encroaching! Interestingly, Benfica pen in Lisbon I noticed one of theirs continually shoving Silva into the box pre kick and wondered why. Now makes sense - your guy misses his pen, can get a retake by appealing one of the defending side players was encroaching! Enough bleating & VAR will have a look, most likely give another go. Sneaky!

Sets us up nicely for next Sunday although I think we will have to be much better than we were today to get all 3 points. We can’t start with Borna or Wright next week.

Gary Brown

Thanks for that David. Another win. Move on to the next game. Good to see some of the lads back after their injuries. The fight / bottle / cajones of these players has been doubted more often than not. Today was another example of picking themselves up and getting back in the fight - after the pen debacle to take the lead and again after the poor equaliser conceded but retaking the lead before HT. Credit where credit its due. Also did it in Lisbon and Seville. Even at the San Giro, albeit coming up a whisker short! The desire is there. Thought the crowd were very supportive today, even moreso in the latter stages of 2-1 when its usually all tears & snotters. 'When I were a lad . . ' if we conceded, at our restart, that was the cue for a lung bursting rendition of The Cry Was No Surrender. An old time tradition we should try and revive!

Gary Brown

No worries mate. All of us reckoned retake too. Let's not hold our breath waiting to see if the same rule is ever applied to that mhob!

Was it decisions that you felt ref was rubbish or general control of the game?

Colin gray

If the play is stopped while the ball is in the box then it goes back to keeper

8luenose1872

So anytime an attacking team gets into the box a defender can go down claiming head injury so he can get his team the ball?

Heart and Hand

Bit of both. I didn’t think it was a particularly difficult game to keep control of but he was so random the players were getting frustrated.

Colin gray

The play doesn't have to stop just due to a head injury, also if the ref deems it's a serious injury or if play is moving in the direction of where the injured player is. Tricky for refs to judge head injuries when there is such a focus on player safety and especially concussion these days
