After a suggestion last week from Rona Bluebell who said

“Im pitching a show on Choices. Listeners outline a dilemma where a choice has to be made, and our three chaps say what they would do and why. Could be where to live, colour to paint the bathroom, career options, getting married/divorced (!) anything goes. I think we'd get three quite different takes”

We will help you solve your dilemma, problems or questions about life.

Just post your dilemmas in the comments or if you want to remain anonymous send to colin@heartandhand.co.uk and the 3 of us will do our best to answer them on this weeks show.

I have this friend, a guy I have known fae school. 25 years. I hate him. Just sharing really. Thanks Ps he’ll no listen to this so it’s all cool.

So long story short, I had a friend when I was younger that I was really close with. I then came down with severe depression in my teens and drastically limited my social circle for about the next decade. 10 years on I’m now a hell of a lot better and recently got back in touch with her. We’ve had some really good conversations and she was really understanding and telling me about her own problems she’s gone through. We’re now friends on Facebook but every time we chat on Messenger I always get left on sent until I’ll send another message a few months later. How do I ask if it’s ok to start hanging out with her again like we used to without coming across as awkward or weird ? I should note when she sent me a friend request I told her I was going to ask if I could send her one but didn’t want to seem odd and she told me don’t be silly.

Hi guys, Someone at work catches the boss and his pa on cctv getting a bit too close and personal! They have no idea the person has seen them, the bosses wife is also the firms company secretary and works in the same building! what would you do next? Tell the wife? confront the boss? delete the cctv? Keep quiet? Something else? 🤷🏼‍♂️ I can neither confirm or deny this is a true story! 😊😇🤣

Craig

Need proof or it didn’t happen!!! That’s one way of it circulating 🤣

Craig

I’ve had this problem through my own personal life and one way I built up relationships again was through WhatsApp which allowed me to connect groups up again - some don’t contribute anything but that’s up to them. People I’ve wanted to meet with I’ve always thrown out going for a walk or something as it’s not as intense and take it from there. Best of luck with it and the ones worth reconnecting with will do it and sadly others won’t and it’s not a reflection on you ! Just realised I shouldn’t be answering these 🤣🤷‍♂️

Rona Bluebell

I feel obligated to put my genuine dilemma in. I live in Edinburgh and I like city life but thinking of moving out to get a bigger house and garden but don’t want to be isolated. So do we move more East coast, or over to the west (family is originally from Troon way) or abroad for sun? Or Glasgow as more affordable and still a city. Should having easy access to Ibrox be a factor (my female friends can’t even believe this would be a consideration). What do you guys think? City life, village in Fife, west coast, Glasgow or off to the sun?

Steven L

Move to loyalist West Lothian. Its halfway and we don’t say ken ae 🤣🤣

Gregg

Just start with something casual like a coffee or something. The hanging out like we used to is a big jump and might be a bigger rejection if it’s a no go.

Rona Bluebell

I’m from Bo’ness, when it was part of west Lothian so I’ve done that. Made Larkhall look a bit weak staunch wise! 😉

Craig

It also work both ways - you might want an easy get out too!

Rona Bluebell

Just ask something neutral to test the water. Something like ‘you’re trying to get your steps up so does she fancy joining you on a walk”. Something that moves it on gently without overly exposing yourself to rejection.

I have tooo many dilemmas in my life but this one is utmost! To all 3 of you, which of the others could you best impersonate or pretend to be, for 1 minute if you had to, at a party… and let’s hear it!

Andy Barnett

Here’s mine chaps. With all the shite going on in the world right now, be it pandemics, war, banning free speech, or economic turmoil (caused by Andy McGowans lot) it really has left me questioning life’s purpose. in my neck of the woods of course we have jihadists trying to initiate armageddon and was wondering whether to volunteer for the IDF and go fight for my nations survival - or become a religious man. And by religious I mean the full Hasidic Jew with black hat, curly sideburns, beard, and a penchant for rough diamonds. Don’t forget that it would mean keeping kosher and the sabbath (giving up Saturday football and bacon) I feel like I need to do something. Which would be more of a civic duty?

Andy Barnett

Glad you’re much better nowadays John. I would just come straight out and ask her if she’d like to meet for a casual coffee. From what you say she’ll be very comfortable with you.

Marc Stewart

Covid is back with a vengeance and there are only 2 safe havens left. Cumbernauld and Chernobyl. Where would you rather live? Or would you just accept defeat?

Jack Shaw

Right. You aren’t meant to answer each other’s fucking questions… What are we meant to do if you all give each other sound advice? 😂

Jack Shaw

Stop answering each other’s dilemmas 😂😂😂

Tookey

I have two black toe nails from running. What are your suggestions?

John Smith

I’d recommend drawing up a list of pluses and minuses Rona. And then ultimately you’ll have a tally of which option is better. Gut instinct though is always recommended

John Smith

DONT SIGN UP ANDY !!! We can’t lose you ! Setting an example is the way to go here for me. There’s a saying I came across and I think it’ll resonate with you. “Be kind whenever possible. It is always possible”

Gregg

Do what you do with every other bit of decent chat online - steal it!!! 😘

Gregg

My advice would be to look for a third option 😂😂 stay safe pal

Gary Brown

The dilemma. Give up football; going to, playing, watching via any media (no AI generated Apple VR headset stuff to cheat either!), listening to or reading about it. OR Support Celtic?

Andrew Carter

Hiya , i have two problems , not with myself but with random folk i mostly dont know . Problem One : When folk state The Queen is dead as the best Smiths album . Nonsense , its obviously the debut lp , far more edge to it . Yes TQID is a great album but come on ? ….Second problem : When folk say Johhny Marr and Morrisey stuff is great . Its ok but not a patch on the stuff when the two were working together surely ? I may need to get out more , what do you think ? Andy , aged 56& a quarter

Jock Paterson

Fuck getting obliterated in a no rules war ❌ Move back over here to Coatbridge for a marginally quieter lifestyle 😬

Billy Forrester

I have moved to G33 in past 12 months and by far best decision I’ve ever made, easy commute (10mins) into city centre by train or 6 miles by car and far better quality of life. Depends I guess on ur priorities

Kev Armstrong

I put up a post asking for peoples problems and other people are answering. What can I do about it?
