David, Dave and Kev are here to vent after witnessing Rangers pathetic performance in Dundee.

Gazza_Hendo

Don’t have it in me to Listen sorry. Well done getting it out though 💪

Ryan Lynch

I will hold off listening to this until tomorrow. But I hope you collectively tear into this team. (And I pity you guys that have to watch through it again to provide better analysis on upcoming shows.)

Jamie Gourlay

A team full of losers. The cycle never ends. Tav and Goldson need to go. It's time. 1 title and so many disappointments. They are scarred as are many others.

Gary

It’s incredible how many times we have been saying the same things over and over and over again with this group and yet they are still here putting us through the same nonsense. Clement will be gone half way through next season if he sticks with them.

Ross Matheson

We're all agreed this is finally the end for Tav, Goldson, Lundstram and a number of others eh?

Mark Wilson

Absolutely dreading Sunday

David Innes

This team are done - combination of weak mentality, questionable fitness levels and just a plain lack of ability. Hearts will never have a better chance to beat us at Hampden on Sunday

Derek Stevenson

Will listen tomorrow, a shameful night. Once again, above all David take care of yourself and your family. Best wishes.

James McCabe

Is anybody really surprised by this. We have a team that don’t know how to attack.

John Smith

They’re just bad. I think it’s that simple. A massive rebuild awaits

Graham Ross

Shitebags. Only SJB and Sterling should remain.

John Breen

This has got to be the poorest bunch that were chasing to win a title. Feel sorry for the manager but at least he knows what he needs to do preseason

SC81

Get these charlatans hunted. If you happen to get a word with Clement, make sure he knows that these fuckers will see him sacked.

David Hanlon

We will get beat on Sunday and you are right. Get rid of the players or they will get you sacked

Colin

Every years the exact feckin same with those bankers

Alan Shaw

3 different managers losing leagues, all have one thing in common. This lacklustre team. You can only blame managers so many times before you realise that these players don't have a winning mentality.

Dave Finnie

Always do what you’ve always done, you’ll always get what you’ve always got. This teams only consistency is shitting the bed when it really matters. If this is what they can offer given what’s at stake, then there’s not an outfield player there tonight that deserves to wear our shirt again. Biggest concern for me is how we rebuild with the cash that becomes available from finishing second (again). While the players are letting us down, decisions from the very top has us totally hamstrung. Sickening and now in the “can we end the season now please” zone. Well done to you lads for continually fronting up to deliver the pods on days when team fail to deliver.

chris smith

Its impossible to win football matches consistently if you have absolutely nothing in midfield. Its time to Orange Juice it …

Andrew Lees

Not convinced by our manager...sadly getting same vibes as Gio and Beale. No signs of any discernible style or approach. I hope I'm wrong. On to Sunday

james whyte

The squad, Butland aside I suppose, isnt fit for purpose. Can do well in spells when nothing on the line but as soon as it comes down to it and it counts in the Lge bottle goes. And, if I am a youngster or a recent signing I am looking around for something from 'the leaders' and im faced with repeat failures starting back at me. They are offering nothing. Enough.

Mark Wilson

What’s the usual pish Tav comes out with at the after game interview ????

Simon Botterill

Weak players who can't find a way to win when pressure is on. PC needs to explain why he has gone against his pragmatic approach in the last month and reversed playing players in their actual positions. Sima on right, Sterling playing in his fourth best position, ridiculous. You carry Borna, you carry Dessers and build around Sterling, Sima and Cantwell where they thrive. Lundstram completey overplayed, don't play him then. Goldson has been injured for a month, don't play him. Starting line ups since Motherwell have been off balance, Yilmaz has killed us but completely over killed the shoehorned approach again which we hated of Beale and loved Clement for stopping until the Motherwell match onwards.

Stewart Robertson

See if I hear the expression “bite yer hand off”, one more time……… “If I said to you back in October (insert some bullshit)…you would bite my hand off”. We deserve better.

Billy Forrester

Listen tomorrow lads, I’m away to bed utterly furious and really sick to the back teeth of this team and the leadership spine amongst them, I won’t be sad to see any of them leave. It’s time

Alan Ferguson

Goldson set the tone in the first minute….closed the guy down into corner flag and still contrived to let the guy turn and get a cross into our box….absolute dumpling of a player…..couldn’t care less if never saw him wear the shirt again. Tav time defo up too. Lundstrum new contract? GTF! Cantwell an impostor of a player too, happy to see him get punted too

Neil Wilson

This squad is done. Recruitment is going to be busy this summer. Clement inherited a mess and was able to make them somewhat competitive for a while, but there's many of that squad who are long past their sell by date.

Scott King

Scandalous, spare me the “manager was protecting his players” with that interview, they deserve no protection, we all know the usual culprits that need to go, zero debate that this has to happen now

ivor swan

We only have 1 decent player (Butland) and now probably looking to sell him to fund a rebuild that needed done 3+ years ago

Harry McRandle

Shocking. Totally imbalanced team selection. We were outfought in the last three games. Unforgivable

Hendi

A special mention needs given to Tom Lawrence. He was hiding from the ball all night. An utter disgrace. Should never wear the Jersey again.

Simon Lewandowski

this is the 3rd manager in a row these players are throwing under the bus im sick of the sight of the lot of them

David Campbell

Something has gone badly badly wrong since the Benfica game we haven't been the same team why?

Stewart Thomson

Whole midfield dominated by the lad McCowan, another game where the standout player is from the opposition. Its a rare laugh

Spoon

The managers after match was concerning, root and branch overhaul needed. I’m done watching the team while Lundstrum is in it, haven’t been more angry in my whole life time as a fan over the last 50 years.

C. J

Let’s admit it lads. They were right. This squad could only win with no fans in stadiums for a single season. Absolute bottlers. Brendan has gubbed us again. Cowards.

Gordon Smith

Real fears the season could be over on Sunday.

Trev @JimmyBell_Loyal

David, how many times have this team turned a corner only to go back to their default pish selves. Then we as fans forget and forgive. What makes you think it will change?? Lundstrum has been offered a new contract already no? So he could very well stay. It will happen again, I give up.

Luke

There is no reason why Goldson should be in that team. Having to watch him repeatedly launch the ball out of play is beyond a fucking joke. It happens every season as well, resort to hit and hope when the going gets tough. I’ve had it with this group of players and will be tuning out for a bit. Complete and utter shitebags.

CAMPBELL DAVIDSON

We need to clean house big time. As David says, this lot will get any manager the sack.

Greg

I was hoping for the soothing tones of Martyn

David Hart

A truly pathetic performance, sadly we all knew it was coming.

Stewart Robertson

These players don’t want medals. Serial losers.

Mike Black

Truth be told we haven't properly replaced Arfield and Davis. I suspect that we may have to see Butland in the summer to fund a rebuild.

Luke

Clement trying to keep his players onside after comment like rangers were the "boss" of Dundee. I hope he is anyways and doesn't actually believe that. Behind close doors I hope he is very angry at the players.

Simon Botterill

If you look at all line ups where we have dropped points we have a obvious tactical error where a player in midfield five is playing in a position they are not comfortable in. Clement has started doing this since Motherwell, predominantly a winger on a flank they can't play on.

Gordon Millar

The majority are not fit to wear the jersey, on reflection our inability to invest in local talent has cost us domestically......players who choose when they want to turn up, too many have stolen a wage for too long, we must rid ourselves of serial losers and build a team from back to front!

Fraser T8

Well done putting that together. Not an easy shift.

Fraser T8

Very few of those players should be starters next season. Another rebuild!! Ffs.

Andrew Finlayson

I think this has to be the end of the old guard. Time to move on, I thought they maybe had one last hurrah in them and could get us another league title but clearly they’re not capable when the going gets tough. Sad end to a once promising league campaign, a capitulation.

Rona Bluebell

It’s that we had it in our own hands then just fucking gifted it to those fucking muppets. Fuck fuck fuck

CJT

Not with a bang but a whimper. The Hollow Men. Quite apt. Really not sure what happens now. That lot were there for the taking. We couldn’t do it. The finances it’ll take to keep up with yet more CL income for them just aren’t there. What a job Clement has on his hands.

Brodie Wilkinson-Slaven

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but this is just what this group of players do 🤷‍♂️ no point in having any major expectations at this point

Craig Hart

Same shit. Different day. The manager's position has suffered the consequences of this squad to this point. Time for the squad to suffer the consequences. Get rid of them.

Will Blair

Gutless again, from a group of players who only guarantee is when the going gets tough they shrink, massive rebuild needed , time to not be sentimental and shift these also rans out the club.

Brian Rae

The manager is treating the fans like idiots with that post match interview. He's a smart guy and I'm sure he's well aware of the situation but If he does genuinely believe what he's just said, we are trully fucked. The majority of these players cannot be here next season.

Joseph Berwick

It feels like most of the team admitted defeat after the 3-3 game against Celtic. The reality is that we can’t afford to replace all those players in the summer so we are going to see the majority of them again next season unless we bite the bullet and promote as many as we can from our youth team. We won’t win much for a couple of years by doing that, but we aren’t winning much by keeping this team on the park either.

Craig

We need to be signing players who have won titles in other countries who have shown the mentality to go over the piece. This lot have let us down to often and I think they are bringing down the decent players we have, otherwise it’s rinse and repeat and mediocrity for the foreseeable 😔

Derek Stevenson

I hear you, your family is most important, but we could’ve traded my in-laws for a last min winner 😔

Andy MacArthur

Gutless, embarrassing but to be expected from a team who have a history of bottling it when it matters! Hope the manager has the sense to see these players for what they are. If he doesn’t they will cost him his job.

Jim McCutcheon

Cheers guys what more can we say 🤷pure garbage again

John James Peebles

That lad completed bossed us all night, madness when you think he’s probably earning 1/20th a week (or less) than our midfield players. Bizarre stuff man. Sometimes I have crazy thoughts like…we should have a player like that in there, heart in the battle. Something none of our players show.

Andy Gray

Most of their Rangers careers have been over LONG before tonight. Understandable it’s not going to be easy or possible to get rid of all of them but unless the ones we don’t shift become subs / squad players we are in for more misery next season. It’s on Clement and Koppen to sort this mess - not an easy job!

Alan Ferguson

I’m also amazed that Diamonde is the only one out with a thumb injury…..vast majority of squad, especially so called leadership players, have had their thumbs up their arses for weeks!!!

David Scott

We get a chance of success and the club’s collective arse always collapse every time when it comes down to the business end of a season been the same well for over a decade now, 55 was not the pinnacle.

Euan Dover

Last straw. Completely done with this shower.

Jim Milne

We've become the Borussia Dortmund of Scotland. So angry at those players. They don't deserve our fanbase.

Andy Gray

Thoughts with you and your family David. Enough going on without this shit!

Bryan Watson

I think Lundstram has signed a new deal. Really annoyed especially with him over the last few weeks because see when he is playing well he is the first name on the team sheet but in a 3 year Rangers career, hes been on it for about 8 months of it. This so-called leadership group get managers the sack. They would have got Gerrard the sack in 19/20, Gio comes in and they play out their skin to get us to a Euro final (surrender the title with a whimper mind you) but they build up credit then chuck him under the bus when they were comfortable. They already had credit with Beale + easier to chuck him because he was a charlatan. They have worked hard under Clement, built up credit, now they have got comfortable and honestly they'll see him out the door before 2025 if he doesn't smell the coffee.

Martin Davies

How do you move Tav and Goldson on? They're on huge wages so we ain't bringing in quality replacements and retaining guys as well. Other high earners like Matondo, Davies, Dessers, Cantwell and Lawrence are going nowhere either. And don't forget that Cifuentes and Lammers are due back. Thoroughly depressing. Ross Wilson and Beale have seriously fucked us.

Ryan Stewart

Sent this message in my group chat after about 10 minutes tonight. These players are predictable if nothing else “You can already see how this season plays out. Drop points tonight, win the next couple, get annihilated at Celtic park then play brilliant last 2 games when it means fuck all”

William Hughes

Tav must have took 300+ corners this season. How many have we scored from? We have nobody in the team that just says to themselves, I'm winning that ball. You don't need to be 6'4", just a desire to win a fucking cross ball.

George Mclachlan

The arse has completely fell out this team and the worrying thing is it's probably going to get worse. Shambles.

Doogz

Clement can hardly throw them under a bus with a semi final on Sunday, but thought his summing up of the game won’t be what 99% of supporters watching it will be thinking. Lawrence and Dowell should be nowhere near a Rangers team, both plodders on good wages and bring nothing to the team. How this lot got themselves back into contention after Clement took charge only to shit the bed once they had the chance to go top beggars belief, the 6 weeks or so it’s like watching the rabble Beale left, gutless cowards who had thrown the towel in. He has a massive job to lift them for the weekend.

Dougie

Thanks guys, not sure for what but thanks for doing that ❤️🤍💙

David Hanlon

Hearts will stuff us and a certain goal scorer will probably score a hat trick. The 3 million we could have spent on him would have won us the league and Championship league football

Nom De Ploom

Spot on all round. The managers doing a crazy amount of fannying about but still keeping his "leaders" that are the problem. I'd have hoped Alex Rae would've told the manager what to expect with these guys. Put Sterling & Souttar in their proper positions instead of Tav/Goldson. King & hopefully Ridvan on the other side. Raskin in as 6, where he's actually shown he's good. Cantwell & Dio in front of him & Matondo, Roofe & Sima along the front. Hopefully after 60 mins we're up a goal or 2 & can bench Roofe for Dessers. Otherwise let them get used to that.

Stephen

Don’t understand how we seem to play better when half the squad is out injured.

Roslyn Hutchison

It’s the hope that kills you…………………..again….and again

Amanda stewart

Some just wanted and want the limelight in the Europa and that’s that. I can’t stand them them anymore. I’m glad it’s all over now and it’s by with this season. Dread what’s ahead and I hope pc roots them out!

David Bold

These players will get the next manager sacked also.

C. J

The manager seems to think we can win the league if we just win our remaining games??? Doesn’t he realize we need at least maximum points AND a six goal swing?

Stephen

Feel bad for Tav but the bottom line is we have to get a right back who can defend better and a right winger who score scores his 20 goals a season. Tav has been having to do someone else’s job for years and that has lead to us neglecting the defensive side of the team. The lack of goals from wide attackers over the last few years has been terrible.

jason hart

It's the hope that kills you .. at least we can now rule that out as a possible outcome I think in fairness to Lunny he's played a lot of mins but his skillset is dropping and collect ball from CB and building play BUT we have the likes of soutter and goldson (questionable) that can do that so Lunny for me isn't required we have a belgium u23 international on the bench obviously had a fall out with PC but he must play .. Davie can you ask PC more on this .. granted raskin wasn't in red hot form but he's better than we have I think recently we maybe thought that your Ross county's Dundee's were playing the game of there life's but the harsh reality is we're probably on there level and it's been games between to evenly matched teams ... shocking Last point Silvia if he's a 30 million pound player then Davie Cooper would have been valued at 900 million

Jason Allan

The leadership group have failed us in another league season. Tav, Goldson and Lundstrum go into shells. Lundstrum again dropping so deep and passing it backwards. Slows us right down. Drop them and send a message.

Scott Kerr

It's the hope that kills us 😭

Scott Kerr

Clement comments after the match were embarrassing and how did Lundstram and Lawrence last 90 plus mins?? Both were brutal 😡

William Alston

Do you think the chairman and the board have football intelligence to actually understand what the manager requires next season, this needs proper funding and can't be patched up like the last 2 summers

Rod

There is a common denominator and they were playing for us tonight. Judge the manager when he has his own non shite bag players.

Mr J K Murray

concerning listening to the managers assessment on RTV, these players will make him have a whitey as they are giving us as supporters the ghosts, near the winning post & we go up in smoke, all seems to much for them, lol, still been a long term bad managment situation, even the woman are the same this evening, its a theme running through the club,

Paul

Wow. Just watched his presser. When you start to treat the fans as idiots by saying something that is clearly nonsense. We lose faith and rarely get it back.

Craig scullion

You blew the league again..... here's a new contract! Not on your life, get them gone!

Christopher Bruce

This team have thrown the towel in twice in the one season, once under Beale and now under Clement. We all know Beale was a disastrous appointment but the core group of these players have previous even going back to Gerrard, certainly under GVB as well. Tavernier and Goldson need to be the first out the door. Thanks for your service but these two leading your team when they've won one title since Gerrard came in is embarrassing.

Allan Osborne

I get that Clement can't throw the team under the bus with the SF coming up on Sunday, but please don't try to take us for mugs either. Saying we created loads of chances and reacted in the right way and were unlucky in the end is really taking the piss. He's the man to take us forward but he's not done himself any favours coming out with that rubbish. As for the players, I'm sick of the sight of most of them and have had enough, Butland and the young lads excepted.

Alan Riddell

Total gutless shambles from these cowardly c’s. To me a player missing with a sore thumb and one who was supposed to be ready after ‘5 days’ sum up what this squad of players are, cowards. Even the ones who aren’t playing don’t seem keen to get back to playing with these ‘players’. Gutless cowardly abysmal from all of them. Garbage. I also cannot understand what game the manager was watching with his post match nonsense. 😤😤😤😤😤

Allan Osborne

I've never heard of a player missing a game through a thumb injury/operation. Only at Rangers!!

James Murdoch

We all know the sqaud needs needs gutted out. But I'm really concerned about the manger. His team selections over recent weeks have been baffling. We basically played tonight without a midfield. The constant picking of Silva, refusing to put Sterling in the middle. Then he's saying/doing things like, "moral victory" not shaking his opposition managers hand and his car crash interview tonight. Has the manger bottled it? I thought we had a good one but I'm really concerned about him taking us forward now.

KMS

Serial losers, a captain that can't motivate himself, let alone his team, Players who hide, players who pass the buck, Players who have absolutely shat the bed, at every turn, every opportunity we have had to put a foot on the neck of that lot across the city they have SHAT IT, They have wrapped this title up and gift wrapped it to the Tim's and have bent right over whilst presenting it. I'm actually done with these players, and this season, I cannot stomach going to all the hassles and expense I have to go to to get to a game, to sit and watch that utter dross who are not fit for purpose, let alone not fit to wear the jersey. Everything from everyone? What's the point when those on the pitch are giving us fuck all

Kenny Service

Utterly disgraceful. No other words apart from undeniable arrogance. I’m only left with this, which deeply hurts , big PC isn’t blameless btw. WATP always 💙

Ritchie Lamond

The people I truly feel sorry for are the poor bastards who had to cancel their plans, and in some cases travel, multiple times only for the game to finally go ahead and have to have sat through that utter shite from a team that apparently represents them. Those fucking pretenders owed those people, all of us, a performance to show that they’re hurting even a fraction of the amount that we are but instead they’ve rolled over. Gutless, spineless and unacceptable. No passion and no accountability. Absolute banter years level of drive from this shower of shite.

Angus Mackay

The on-line reaction tonight is the most depressingly familiar thing of all. The manager is quite clearly doing whatever he can with the hand he’s been dealt, but the boo boys are under way already. I’m sorry, but as lame as tonight was, the support is a massive part of the problem.

CGG

Just cut and paste this pod for the next 6 games, nothing is going to change

Bryan Watson

Agree and disagree. I think Ibrox is an absolute cesspit to be honest, I think its filled with auld guys who have been spoiled with success and are absolutely desperate to sit and moan about everything even when things are going ok (misplaced pass or a bad touch even when in control / winning). I also think people are overly negative to play down their own hopes so that if things come crashing down (which since 2012 they have done on a pretty consistent basis) then they are protected somewhat from all of that hurt and disappointment in a preverse way. See that bit in Spider-Man: No Way Home when Zendaya's character is talking about not being disappointed if you don't have expectations. However, that was garbage tonight, as was Sunday, as was 1st half against Celtic and as was the start of the season especially Limmasol Away. I pay thousands a season to follow this team home and away as loads of us do in our droves. The least we expect is fight, effort and dig. I don't expect us to win the treble every year, I don't expect us to be a 10/10 every game. What I do expect is for players to put in 100% and actually work their pan in. It properly angers me to see bang average footballers who have achiever hardly anything such as Goldson and Lundstram, saunter about like they are world beaters. They look like they couldn't be bothered and thats a slap in the face to all of us who give up so much to get behind them. They've done it for years too (6 years in the case of Connor Goldson), this is who they are. They are comfortable, they know there is absolutely 0 danger they get dropped or moved out and they get lazy because of it.

KMS

A few weeks back Celtic absolutely horsed that lot 7-1, we come along and can barely create anything in front of their goal... That's the measure of this team, that's the difference. Guttless, hopeless, directionless, rudderless, useless

Iain Donaldson

Who’s buying the leadership group on 40k with 2 years left..? We need a turnover of at least 12 realistically nearer 20 n not an asset in the whole squad apart from the gk. Handed that mob a free rein to a lottery win n we all seen it coming, there a fukin disgrace..

Ecky G

Just home and cannot believe that was the performance I watched. Like watching someone trying to ride a bike when the chain has fell off.

Luke

Was actually thinking myself during the game to put Davies at left back , sterling at left back does nothing as he can't get forward or play with his left foot. I Might be in the minority but Davies wasn't the worst Defender this season in my opinion. Also why no raskin ? Lawrence and dowell are not cdms

Angus Mackay

I agree 100% in relation to what's required, Bryan, and I also agree that the core group can't deliver it. But I believe it's confidence related rather than effort. They've folded several times now when it really matters, and with every instance it gets worse. Goldson looked terrified tonight the guy is a bag of nerves right now. But, whatever the reason, we need to move on. But with FFP it's unlikely we'll be able to that in one go, so I believe that manager is doing what he can to bolster what remains of the team's fragile confidence. I don't think he's fooled for a second, but he has to act responsibly to try and protect the clubs assets and also to try and get some kind of tune out of them for the remainder of the season. In the summer I believe we'll begin to move on. Moving on though becomes measurably harder when people start turning on a manager who has worked miracles to get us where we are with a ramshackle and unbalanced squad. But all the tropes are appearing already "honeymoon period over" , "That one's on the manager" yada yada. It's boring and just people acting like spoilt children. We can't spend our way out of trouble any more and we face an uphill battle, so unless we start to exercise some patience as a support we face inexorable, painful decline.

Lewis

It is a terrible squad. People, again, managed to convince themselves that it wasn't a bad squad after a short decent spell.

Bryan Watson

I think its just who these players are. They are lazy and complacent and they cannot handle it when push comes to shove more often than not: 18/19 post winter break collapse + embarrassing cup exits 19/20 even more horrendous post winter break collapse that I'm convinced would have cost Gerrard his job if Covid never came + unfortunate LC final defeat and embarrassing Scottish Cup exit 20/21 best league season points and performance wise in club's history with 2 pretty redneck cup exits in there. 21/22 complacency and failure to leave 55 in the past saw them surrender the title with a whimper particularly post winter break along with a horrendous league cup exist where Hibs were 3-0 up in half an hour. Lucky we won the Scottish Cup to salvage something. 22/23 won fuck all, deserved fuck all, league over by November and knocked out of both cups by Celtic. 23/24 started horrendously, clawed league back only to shit our pants when it got to the proper run in. Won league cup, will be lucky to win the Scottish Cup at this rate. Thats who these players are, years worth of evidence this is what they do across 4 managers. We all support them, we go everywhere and sacrifice so much to do so, absolutely everyone wants them to stand up and be consistently successful Rangers players but they have not been up to it over the piece. The only consistency in terms of a positive since Gerrard has been Europe. If that so called leadership group are allowed to stay we will be stuck with this shite again and Clement will be out on his arse. Really dont want that to happen because I think hes the right man but proper test to wake up and smell the coffee before he meets the same fate as those that came before.

C. J

Any real leader would step down after such an absurd amount of failure. Tav is one of the weakest footballers I've ever seen play for us. He's boring to listen to, clearly not a very intelligent guy, unable to motivate himself or his team and he's technically brutal.

Tamus

Spineless Bastards

Colin Gardner

Suppose that's what happens when you rummage round the bargain basement bin for players. Spunked nearly our entire budget on 2 diddies and its coming home to roost now. However as usual we blame this entire collapse on 3 players. For what it's worth they need to go but it will be interesting to see who they pass over the booboy baton to next season.

Bradley johnson

Raskin not even getting a kick must be a personal issue at this point

Alastair McGeoch

Reflecting on Clements post match comments. I feel for him, I think he (like a lot of us) and thought he had got this team structurally and mentally into the right place to win a treble. When we beat Killie I think that’s when we all believed we could go on and win the league. The very next game at home on a weekend when I had a feeling hearts would beat Celtic, we drop a defeat out of nowhere. Since then this team has slowly begun to come apart. I can’t figure out if Clements tinkering game to game has been a contributor or if he’s been tinkering because he saw the rot start and has been looking to try and stop it. What I do know is the manager deserves the benefit of the doubt, these players do not. There is no doubt, 80% of that squad have consistently proven they are not good enough to play for Rangers; are shit scared of Celtic home and away and when they have a genuine chance to win domestic trophies they don’t have the mentality to do it. I think Clement looked shell shocked after the game because he’s now realised how big a job this actually is!

Craig Armstrong

Brilliant analogy from Kev about running a marathon in a knight's suit. I absolutely agree that this is a spineless team. I'm so angry at this that I can't actually articulate that anger. There are 3 easy targets in the team, because they make it easy to target them. Our prblems are many, and have been around for years, and it's going to take a long time to fix them. We are certainly not going to beat Hearts on Sunday, and I'm not sure where we get our next win. Dreadful. Absolutely dreadful

John Davidson

I remember, in the Five in a Row video, Richard Gough saying: "You find out about the true character of people when the chips are down."

Craig

Same old story from this group of core players who’ve been here too long joined by others more recently. Clement will be getting sacked if he does not deal with this in the summer and we will be here again, Tav must be the most under decorated Rangers captain we’ve ever had! I remember Amoroso being stripped of his captaincy, that pressure should have been taken from Tav a while back but not sure who exactly should have taken it! We’re at the end of the road with this mob!

Calum Downham

Struggling to understand why this collapse has come after we have a few players back from injury

Gary Shaw

I’m not even sure it’s mentality with this group of players and it’s actually just ability they lack….We kick off against Celtic and concede in 20 seconds,we kick off against Dundee and should have conceded in 40 seconds and was the same on Sunday up at Dingwall were we should have been a goal down in 50 seconds….How is that even possible??….Everyone is to blame from the manager to every single player….

Maca82

It seems very similar to GVB all this, it’s almost as if there’s tipping point for some whereby they think nah this isn’t for me and down tools. Given some of the squad weren’t there under Gio I think we can draw conclusions who that might involve. The inevitable new manager bounce In Oct/Nov looks a stick on without massive change. Massive change requires money so who do we fancy next 🤦‍♂️

michael Cochrane

The worst Tarrier team in years and these bottle merchants can’t do it nope revert back to type and will turn up again no doubt when all is lost and nothing left to win . I pray Clement is sharpening the axe each week ready to go savage after the last games are played and we NEVER see these cowards in a Rangers top ever again

Darren

I can see half this squad still here next season, even if we get through CL qualifying FFP will still restrict next seasons transfer budget. It's going to take multiple window's to rebuild.

Ross M

31 May 2026 🤩. All contracts would have ran down by then unless we can ship this leadership team sooner

Billy Forrester

Out of contract and leaving Roofe Barisic Wright Jack Balogun McLaughlin Lundstrum Sell and raise funds Matondo Cantwell Lawrence Dowell Lammers Dessers Goldson Tavernier Keep Butland Ridvan Sterling Souttar Raskin Diomande Danilo I suspect Butland and ridvan may have to be sold to raise funds. I hope this new management and scouting team are ready for a busy summer as we are in a complete mess and it’s time to get rid of the serial losers, it’s just time now. Promote young Lovelace and hopefully a few others into squad next season as they are the future, young and hungry What a shambles we are in and I don’t even know if we have funds for a rebuild this size Scunnered

Steven L

The sad thing is no one is surprised by this collection of players chucking it, we had false hope and as they say it’s the hope that fucks you. It needs a full clear out again but do we really think that is going to happen…..

Gordon Masterton

We've sacked the manager too many times in recent years now we have to look at the core group of players!

Stace1ofthePeople

Like everyone I am sick to death of this team, absolutely scunnered. It's never ending. The catalyst was giving beale the managers appt and free reign of signings. Absolutely squandered money on dessers and lammers. PC has came in and galvanised the team. Credit where credit is due. Don't agree with him being culpable with team selection It's almost like for like signings with the bench bringing nothing. Literally don't think the starting 11 matters a jot when we are bringing on mccausland and matondo to try and win a game. Here we go back on the roller coaster. The only positive at least we are at the end of the season and don't have too much longer to suffer and hopefully get the "rebuild" started asap. Cortes looked promising on the left and gave us a good attacking threat, injured. Danilo started to find form, injured. Ridvan coming on to a game , injured. Until we get better players and a stronger squad we aren't winning anything. PC has had us over achieving and now the penny has dropped and the existing problems are starting to reappear

David Innes

2 theories: 1) team just don’t have enough left in the tank after Beale’s shambolic pre season 2) Clement was lulled into a false sense of security after the good run and started to over complicate the tactics

maccalsa

I'm not sure where to go now. Lots of talk that here that we need better players seems the general consensus. The things is players who have traits such as skill, commitment, intelligence, athleticism, and mentality are generally completely out of our price range. So if you accidentally find one you can afford, you can't build your team around them as they will head to a league where they can better themselves financially and technically. Just have to keep selling and buying and loaning and hope for the best. In the last 20 years, football has changed, and we have been left behind, we can't keep saying such and such is not a Rangers class of player. In 2004 i agree. In 2024 sadly I can't Sorry this is negative, but what's the point, feel so lost

Stace1ofthePeople

It's unbelievable. It's just rinse and repeat every season We need to find some stability. Manager will.stay and rightly so People bad mouthing PC need a brain scan. The signings he Brought in January (bar silva) have and looked good. He needs time to bring in more players. Too many mistakes being made at board /manager level prior to PC. Focus going forward needs to be getting a better pedigree of player but no idea how. We need a bit of luck with regardrs to signings and hopefully a couple of decent loans 😵‍💫😵‍💫

Stace1ofthePeople

And holding on to players for too long who don't contribute is been haunting us for 3 years now

Ashley_H

I have never been so disconnected to a squad, which is tragic when you consider the players we've had to endure over the past 12 years. 5 points from 15 is just incredible and indicates nothing other than a complete bottle job, which is unforgivable. A few weeks ago I was so excited for the run-in and now I'm just looking forward to the summer when we hopefully ship a load of these imposters out.

Lynsey Roddy

I have been saying for ages that Lundstram hasn’t turned up for the equivalent of a full season in his entire time with us! When he was getting plaudits & some were calling for him to be rewarded I was very cautious about it because I’ve never been a fan of his likewise Goldson, I was done with him after the Europa League Final. He was leaving, as we were told, & I was happy to see the back of him & his terrible diagonal passes out of play for a goal kick as he’d done it non stop throughout that match & sold a goal too. When they announced he was staying to celebratory fanfare my heart sank.

Robert White

Yeah. Its astonishing how quickly his weaknesses have came to the fore so soon after his strengths. He mirrors our team. We cannot afford outright quality, we have to have risky characteristics and hope for synergy.

Lynsey Roddy

It says it all when you hear guys predicting wins for us on the preview & you’re shouting ‘no, no, no’ at the speaker because you know we’re showing our usual bottle job form & you’re scared that by predicting 3-0 wins for us is only made that collapse more likely.

David Innes

It is their worse team since 20/21 but at least 8 of them would still walk into our first 11

Gregg

100% - people expecting a complete 20 new players, winners etc are deluded. If they had more realistic views they wouldn’t get so raging all the time. Anyone we sign will be flawed in some shape or form

Colin Gardner

Can only be pressure. We have went from a team playing a fast paced attacking football with a semi decent press to hoofball! The fans don't help either. We are putting that pressure on them and I know all will say they get payed big bucks to handle that pressure and expectation but beating Shame FC simply means more to us than it does them. When we express that demand as in the last OF game you could just see them shrink. They just can't handle the weight of the Jersey.

Stace1ofthePeople

I think I am somewhere in between. I know we aren't going to sign superstars bit 4mil on dessers and 4mil on lammers is bad business. Marondo is on around 25k a week is he or something similar? He should be ripping the league up for arse paper on that wage. It's the type of players and the wages that I feel are all wrong. We seem to get low fee signings but spend ridiculously amounts on wages. Surely there must be talent somewhere in between? Who knows if that will make us any more successful of not but that is my thinking. There are plenty players in spl team who are arguably better or if not on par with a lot of our players. We seem to still squander a lot or money. Maybe it's the recruitment? I said in another post giving beale the trust to bring players in and rebuild was criminal and has set us back massively. Total waste of a season more or less

David Carslaw

It's a testament to Clement that he managed to get so many of us rowed back in behind these clowns despite seeing this exact thing happen more than once with them. If he gives Lundstram a new contract and carries on with Tav and Goldson in the team next season then that's on him and he will rightly get abuse for it. We've all seen it and I think most in the fan base are on roughly the same page now, they need to go and not getting rid will give us all a bad feeling when it comes to starting next season.

Bob MacCallum

"auld guys" like me who been going for 63 years and kept going through TWO Celtic 9-in-a-rows and the lower divisions? What age are you, mate? That's a new one, blaming the fans ( especially old, loyal ones) I take it you want us to cheer and applaud every time Drossers misses a sitter or Tav is nowhere to be seen at the back post when a goal is lost? If we didn't love the CLUB and support it, we wouldn't be going every game. As for our present bunch of players, all the cheering of them in the world won't make them proper Gers players.

Gregg

100% out recruitment has been poor and we should expect better for some of the outlay. £4m doesn’t is chicken feed in many respects though - we hear people deriding “championship players”, “project players” “players who have lost their way”. I think that’s the market we are in - give or take. Being angry about it isn’t going to change that. Matondo is a bit of a one trick pony - all pace and no panache. Sadly doesn’t work for us domestically

David Campbell

Aye the midfield is a joke. Lawrence playing next to lunny what's that all about? Has he ever played 6/8 before he came here. Yet that's where he's shoehorned in. The central midfield 3 of cantwell Lawrence and lunny 🤣 and we wonder why we are getting overrun that's two 10s and a 6 that can't get around the park.

Graham Ellis

This situation is as much the board's fault as anyone else's. They've consistently taken the shortcut of replacing managers while the core group of players, who have a loser's mentality, remain in place. I'm not saying the managers that have been let go were the answer, but nobody is going to get a tune out of this squad until it's broken up. Too many of them have too much influence on the squad. Goldson, Lundstram, and Tav have been here years too long. They'll never change and will always fail when we need leaders to step up. Unfortunately, real life isn't Football Manager, and you can't release every player, so for me, the answer is getting rid of that "Leadership Group" and replacing them with younger, hungrier players who have a hunger and desire to win.

Scott Kerr

Actually really dislike some off our players

Dylan Brand

Let’s be totally honest here in regards to the post match comments from the manager. If he had came out to attack / criticise his players, do you really trust these players to respond constructively and improve ? Based on the last few years I highly doubt it.

Linda Mackay

Same old movie, same starring roles but with different support acts! I actually believed we would get stronger for the run in because we were getting a few players back from injury. However, the others have incredibly all lost form at the same time! I'm not going to criticise the manager too much for his post match comments as he couldn't publicly hang them out to dry. However, I would've liked him to at least say that the overall level of performance was not good enough. Honestly Rangers, you are seriously not good for one's mental health!

ali t

The senior leaders must go.....if we have to keep one id go Tav. Goldson and Lundstram MUST GO

David Kiltie

Listen to David’s comments on an Update early this week. A broken thumb is not a minor issue. We have the common frustration of players being out far longer than expected but we can’t risk rushing a player back and then losing him for a long period of time. I think we have seen the value of Ridvan and Diomande by virtue of their absence. PC’s selections have been questioned but be wary of the “grass is always greener “ outlook. With Dessers misfiring Roofe was selected last night but to no benefit at all. We missed Sterling in the middle but had Barisic been selected there would have been uproar. Our last 4 managers have often been criticized for fielding 2 holding midfielders against the so called “jobbers”. On Sunday such a selection would probably have worked out for the better. Last night was a continuation of Sunday. The only tiny positive from last night is at least we kept our first clean sheet after leaking awful goals on Sunday. Let’s hope we can improve dramatically at the other end of the park on Sunday.

Ross Baird

Totally agree with David’s comment on mentality, it’s as clear as day. Loss of form happens, can’t always play at your best - but what really alarms me is how bad we are out of possession. It’s so easy for other teams to play around and through us. Dont need to be in form to make it hard for opposition and we make it easy for SPFL jobbers. Makes manager’s comments all the more baffling.

Vanb bryceter

A much better dynamic in this discussion David well done. The leadership group is a contradiction in terms as this mob are as discussed spineless. The most precient point you guys made and in light of Sterlings interview is the lack of belief. Clements follow up today has put himself firmly on the line by protecting the team i believe. He is now in the position that Alex Ferguson did brilliantly and that is to stick or twist. We have a few games to go before he can perform the surgery required in real terms so does he stick with the leadership shite or go with changes within the existing squad. Does he have the balls and can we as a support accept the gamble. Im willing to go all in on blootering lundstram and goldson as a minimum silva is a 35 mill parody of a player there are others but which side of the sword clement chooses only he can decide. I like all of us expect us to win in most games but ive never felt like now going to a semi final and wondering how the fuck can we win this. Absolutely shocking and no matter how clement is trying to give this mob some breathing space sterling is right lack of belief is endemic and it starts with the guys clement sees as his leaders.
