You forgot the detail in the Hamilton game where Wes handled the ball about 2 yards outside the box! 😂 utterly bizarre game

The Pedro pantomime Murty lost me when he said to the Interviewer , parkheid atmosphere is second to none !!! Wtf ya diddy

Stewart Thomson

"Barking Mad" title for the Pedro series lol.

Johnnie Mitchell

Holy fuck lads, you all deserve a medal for going over this again. It still angers me to this day that someone believed Pedro was an appropriate appointment. 🤬

Guy Incognito

The fucking godawful nonsense management mistake? (Sorry, thinking about him just got too much)

Ah what a time! I recall being branded as celtic fan and banned from FF for replying to someone that the Garner tackle was a definite red. 🤣

Am I right in saying that any criticism of the Caixinha appointment was put down by Dave King? Think it was because of Graham Parks involvement in hiring him

Greg McEwen

Cant beat a Simpsons reference. Plus I thought it was on point - the protagonist needs to repair his reputation after years in the wilderness but turns down the sensible sure fire role in order to pursue an obviously terrible off the wall one. Put Troy McClure in a bush and we’ve got ourselves a show

Craig

I remember managing to convince myself that there must have been some hidden logic in the Pedro appointment. He must have been well regarded in certain circles within the game, and just needed someone to take a chance on him. Then I went on a stag do and a St Johnstone fan I know (good lad) said "it's a punt, isn't it?" and I instantly realised, oh shit, it *is* a punt. That's exactly what it is. That's all it is.

Pedro's Peña-ta I think we'd all have liked to whack him with a stick

That Scottish Cup game vs Hamilton. I was in Hamburg with two other subscribers to watch HSV vs Hertha Berlin (in the Bundesliga, so it’s just not us that’s had a fall from grace). The HSV game was the Sunday and on the Saturday we watched the Rangers vs Hamilton game in the Tankstelle. Can remember Garner volleying Imrie about 30 foot in the air and the three of us pishing ourselves laughing at the joke we’d become. Thanks for reminding me of a brilliant weekend!😂

Still think, Tilting at windmills for Pedro.

Instead of Pedro’s Period’ you got for ‘Pedro’s Period Pains’?

Brian Rae

Say what you want about Pedro. He was, on paper a better fit than Beale. Amazingly, just 5 years later, the board fell for another powerpoint presentation and bluster. IMO, the amount of mistakes and poor decisions that have been made post Spivs is verging on negligence.

Brian Rae

Pedro the Power...point.

WILLIAM JACK

Tilting at Windmills - The Caixinha Misadventure. And yes, I know Don Quixote is a Spanish novel but I'm thinking in broader Iberian terms...ahem.

WILLIAM JACK

Sorry didn't see you had also put that. I went for Tilting at Windmills - The Caixinha Misadventure, but you were definitely in first on this.

Martin Boyd

No alliteration so I don't think they will go for it 🤣 David will probably say wrong nationally as well.

WILLIAM JACK

Also, and maybe because Pedro was pretty telegenic with the air of a cool but ultimately slightly shite sheriff riding into town, Serge Leone film titles keep springing to mind. The Good, the Bad and the Ugly (the Caixinha Misadventure), A Fistful of Dollars, and even For a Few Dollars More could work. As would Once Upon a Time in the West (Coast) and even Duck, You Sucker! with it's alternative title of A Fistful of Dynamite which is apposite given he blew our title ambitions to smithereens. Great word smithereens, not used nearly enough.

Gary Brown

Thanks for the pod lads. A real leveller when feeling a bit kicked in the nads after Saturday - re-living this period reminds me it can always be worse! My offering for the new series - The punt on Pedro's PowerPoint plan.
