Andy’s right…He-Man was guff

Simon

Got my ear pierced in 1995. Wore it for a week. Aye, it smells no matter how much I wash my ear. Disgusts me.

Charlie Nicolson

Thought Jack might have mentioned bowls as a sport men and women can play equally

Lewis Wardrope

I went to school with a guy, Cameron, who got called tin-tin, due to his resemblance, and he hated it. I mind being on the bus coming back from school, would be about 15-16 at the time. And the whole bus was chanting “Tin Tin, Tin Tin, Tin Tin…” to the tune of the great escape. I get back in the house, and my grans there babysitting my wee brother. The phone goes, she answers it and says “Lewis, it’s for you, it’s Cameron’s mum”. So I pick it up and she’s giving it “Why is everyone on the school bus calling Cameron tin tin?” I make out that I thought that was his nickname and that he liked it, and then she gives it “No he does not! He’s came home from the school crying! You better go on that bus tomorrow and tell everyone that he doesn’t like being called Tin Tin!”. So I go on the bus the following day and tell everyone that he’d went home crying and then his mum phoned my house. Of course that made it all the worse and he got called Tin Tin all the more. Fast forward about 10 years. My mum and dad are in the village pub. And in comes Tin Tin. My mum, knew that we called him that, but genuinely thought that was his nickname and he was fine with it. My mum is shouting across the bar “Oh, hiya Tin Tin! How you getting on? What are you doing with yourself now Tin Tin? How’s your mum and dad getting on Tin Tin?”. My dad then informs her after they leave that he doesn’t like being called Tin Tin😂 My mum still feels absolutely rotten about it to this day😂😂 Probably considered bullying now days. Character building. I had a lisp when I was a wee boy, and got the utter pish ripped out me. Didn’t do me any harm.

Fraser Ritchie

Dexter season 4 was probably the best season!

Johnnie Mitchell

FFS Andy I can’t imagine your flip-flops if it could smash through the window. 😂😂😂

Scott Duncan

Thanks to Jack, Colin and Big Barry for this week's show!

Alan Weir

Great show - ill with laughter at “Barry’s” anecdote.

stevan castrissios

Andy’s Ibrox story, superb. If you live in Scotland and not Australia where the Indian restaurants are generally shite, Mince punjabi masala, lamb dhansak or chicken tikka. The Scots don’t know how spoiled they are. I make my own pakora ffs, it takes at least an hour plus sauce 30 mins. I have brown paper bags to give the pakora that take away feel. Stand up comedian Jim Bruer, ‘Somebody had to say it.’ It kept me sane.

James McSween

Andy’s stories are superb. Not laugh so loud in ages 🤣

Gregg

You get hole in one insurance here. It’s definitely not as good as a nine darter/ 147 - it’s something any golfer can do really regardless of their ability. Not so with the others

Tamus

Couldn't give up music

Gregg

Brilliant story Andy 😂

Angela Frater

Men and women compete equally in equestrian sports 👍🏻 and there is physicality involved in that (no you don't just sit there and the horse does the work 🙄 although my problem wasn't sitting on, it was usually the falling off...). At all levels men and women compete equally at dressage, show jumping and eventing both individually and as teams 😊

Angela Frater

Is it female or male horses, or a mix? 🤣🤣🤣🤣 my own personal preference is a male horse because female horses are utterly hormonal crabby witches! But both male and female horses (although the males are often gelded so a wee bit in-between 🤷)

Rona Bluebell

Brilliant show, so funny. Would you consider going on a holiday together (camping would do it) and giving a daily update? I would pay extra for that 😂

Scotty Dog

Just came in here to (shamefully) agree on the ear smell from a removed piercing.

John F

In answer to Jack Yes!

Lynsey Roddy

Listening to you all reminisce & discuss the things that take you back there along with the laughs & Andy’s anecdote & it made for a great way to pass an hour. This show is fast becoming the highlight of my podcast week.

Graham Currie

It’s literally called crowd work 😂🤷‍♂️

stevan castrissios

Boil stack of potatoes. Dice, mash a bit when cool. Mix approx 1.5 cups besan/chickpea flour with - half tsp chilli powder or more. 1tsp of turmeric + garam masala + cumin & fennel seeds (toast I dry hot fry pan then grind to powder) + bunch fresh coriander chopped + pinch salt. 1 egg beaten + 150ml milk or water + 50g melted butter. 1 grated onion or 2. 1 sliced onion for that spikey pakora look. Mix all this adding more flour to thicken if req’d and more milk to make more watery if req’d. Make in to pakora shapes then Deep fry in veg oil at 180C, oil has to be hot. Cook in batches.

Andy McGowan

Yes I know but when did this become parlance? Did Frank Carson talk to the audience and take the piss? YES. Did he call it "crowd work" NAW. I'm railing against superfluous millennial terminology. Just say "he's good at piss taking"

stevan castrissios

Homemade Pakora sauce - large onion diced. Red chilli and Jalepeno pepper diced. 1tsp turmeric, chilli powder and lightly toasted cumin seeds. 2 tbl sp sweet chilli sauce, 2tbl sp tomato ketchup. 1tsp salt. 1 tbl sp chopped fresh mint. Juice of quarter lemon. Put in blender. Then half and place the mix in two glass jars. Add around a cup of water to one jar. Add Greek yoghurt (couple of dollops) to the other jar. Mix the ingredients in each jar. Two pakora sauces which are the bomb. This recipie was trial and error. You just adjust to taste next time you make it. Make day before the pakora to reduce time cooking in one go. Pop it in the fridge.

David Whyte

Andy’s flip flop story had me in tears, different class!

Allan Fowler

Andy, was that the Hearts game where Lee Martin tore Robbie Nielson a new arsehole? Finished 2 - 0 About as good as we got under Le Guen.

Andy Fullen

Loving the golf references boys 💙 for what it’s worth a 147 is more skillful and difficult than a hole in 1 in my opinion. You don’t need to hit a good shot to get a hole in 1…you’re not fluking circa 30 shots on a snooker table

Andy Campbell

Hopefully Barry is not a patron 🤣

John Myles

Can’t believe none of youse said the following one of the best tv series in the last 20 years

Dale McLatchie

So glad that Jack has been able to open up about this 🤣 I’ve never mentioned it to anyone before because I thought I was the only one!

Alan Ryder

Top 5 TV shows: 24 Buffy the Vampire Slayer The Sopranos Luther Pigeon Street

John F

Its weird though. Both ears pierced Only the left one smells! 🤷🏼‍♂️

Craig Lindsay

Andy’s story had me in stitches! Brilliant 🤣
