Finally, they assess the probability of Connor Barron being signed as well as the breaking news that a fee may have been agreed for 21 year old striker Hamza Igamane from FAR Rabat.

It was Cifuentes I was thinking of

Think we should be trying to give Lovelace a slot this year, he has looked decent when he came in, he was a sought after talent and we are in danger of him drifting off somewhere else to get games. Classic example for me of home (uk) talent that is over looked simply as they aren’t exotic. We will happily do mental gymnastics to bring in a young foreign player at 18-20 and call them hot prospects but our own guys or UK academy guys are labelled ‘kids’. We are in danger of getting a name for wasting talent or stifling it as very few who come here to ‘develop’ actually get the chance. Danilllo is getting better every week he is injured and the amount of hope some are hanging on him is, to my mind at least, OTT. He looked ok when he played but putting faith in a guy who hasn’t ever been prolific, has now had a serious injury and we have no idea how he will return is a hit and hope. I wish we would stop going for the long odds transfers or punts and start playing the percentage shots. Danilo has Roofe vibes and he might well be successful but it’s by no means certain and it’s equally as likely he struggles for at least next season to build sustained fitness and contribute.

Yeah I don’t see Danilo as being a starting number 9 regularly for us.

He might be bud, I just don’t think we saw enough and our record of rehabilitation from bad injuries is dire. I don’t think he was gash but like others he played mainly in a team that wasn’t great and it’s hard to know if we saw the real player.
