Warm and sunny in San Sebastian , David !

George Higgins

The board have to engage with us and let us know what’s happening with home games. Depending on the draw our first home European game could be 6th August !

Cairo

Tune!

Gareth Williams

Lovely and warm in Puerto Pollensa David! Thanks for the update. Only problem is why do the mhanky mob feel the need to parade in their green and grey on holiday? They truly are a breed apart!!

Tommy

I actually think it’s refreshing we’re walking away from deals and refusing to pay what they want. Such foolish behaviour is why the last 20 years have been a shitshow. It’s a harsh eduction for some in our support but I’m perfectly calm with this. (For now) 😁

Angus Mackay

Some class tunes this last week or so David 🥰👍

Heart and Hand

It’s why we had a criminally high wage bill for what it delivered yes. Wouldn’t mind a couple signings right enough 😂

Jim Finlay

26C and sunny at the villa in Arillas, Corfu

Alexander Bruce Crombie

A wee while? Your still calling it the English Premiership 20 odd years later 🤣

Graeme McLeod

Can't say I'm particularly gutted that a foreign youth player and a 32 year old Kenny McLean won't be joining. Neither really looked, at face value at least, signings that would be an improvement on what we had last year. For too long we've signed players who were no better, or sometimes worse than, what we already had. On the other hand though, Clement has openly spoken of wanting experience. You aren't going to bring in experienced players that improve the first XI if you're pinching every penny. I can understand accepting less than we paid for guys like Lammers and Dessers if it means getting their wages, but the longer it takes to get these in the more it's going to impact our chances in Europe.

stefan strzelecki

Listening by a pool in Turkey , sun blistering, freckles all joining up 😆. I think when I look at Kenny McLean , I have the feeling we have Hagi, in contract , able to exceed anything he has to offer. Particularly after the Euros . He looks very effective for the club.

Granters

Belter of a tune

We’re having a nice enough summer in Helsinki, sunny and low twenties … will be coming to Scotland next week, so packing ma’ wellies …

Alek K

People have to come to terms just how difficult life as a Rangers fan is going to be for the foreseeable I'm afraid, after the money Beale was allowed to flush we were never going to be able to do it again. This will be a very slow recovery process.

David Campbell

Am not overly concerned about the lack of movement we'd all like our business done for August 3rd. It won't happen tho and we've got till the end of August. More important to get the correct players. Quality over quantity and with the market we shop in we are likely to loss out on players. Move onto the next target.

Graeme McLeod

Any update from the club regarding Hampden should include how season ticket holders who don't wish to attend games at Hampden can be reimbursed.

Jock Paterson

Hand firmly on the hysteria dial ready to twist…

Simon

At Lake Garda waiting to be picked up by the coach to come home. Would definitely recommend.

Ross

Listening by side of pool in Puerto Pollensa David. First San Miguel of day in hand. Thanks for keeping us up as usual with the Bears news

Craig

My fight or flight reflex kicked in when you said "I still call my local shop the...".

Graham Jones

I think the hang up we have is over timing for the Champions League qualifiers. These are important for us because I believe we’re set to receive about £7-8m more than the other lot if we qualify. Our co-efficient is now substantially better than theirs, so we can grab the bigger bag of money if we get this right. That’s £8m, which would be really useful to the club. I also think we have unfinished business in the Champions League because of the mess we made of it the last time. Part was the quality we faced, but a big part was the shape we were in as well. We can rectify the second part and try to make some progress on that stage by competing properly this time. At the end of the day winning the league is the top priority, but we also have to put making money from Europe as a top priority as well, otherwise our revenue shrinks and we don’t get the players we want. It’s getting some experience in that concerns me the most because of the qualifiers, so they have to be a priority for Koppen.

Stephen A

In Florida and it's triple digits as usual today. 😎 Makes it a bit easier to hear the utter shambles we are in as usual!

James Murdoch

David. I get it's early doors and you want the club to be sensible. But when you appear to miss out on so many players it does raise questions. Do you think the money is there to bring players in or will we need to sell before we can buy?

Heart and Hand

I think you can front load yeah. Let’s face it, it’s not money why we’ve missed out on a couple, they just didn’t want to come here. But absolutely, we need to get guys gone too.

Mark Davidson

In Alanya in Turkey listening where it has been hitting over 40°c every day! Few of the other mob in the complex, how do I know? Of course them and the kids are wearing the kits. Breakfast, at the pool during the day, in the hotel at night, I don't think they've packed anything else to wear. Seen one yesterday cutting about in a green brigade ultras t shirt, different breed man!

Ally Graham

Hola, David ! Big hello from the Carmunnock Loyal out here in Villamartin, Spain. Great few weeks of (very hot!) sunshine with the family and listening to the brilliant pods. Give us a shout out please ! Cheers, WATP Ally G

Graeme Price

Funny it's Nirvana as I'm in Seattle area just now! Zip lining, breweries and a Mariners game tonight with fireworks. WATP.

Bruce Melrose

Listening by the pool in sunny pafos, absolutely boiling at around 35 degrees 🤣🤣 Watp 🇬🇧

alisdair arkless

It's a hard life sitting here in Menorca listening to the daily update with a wee refreshment,

John Myles

Is Goldson still injured not seen him in any training videos or pictures?

Fiona McMeekin

Listening by the pool in perfect weather here in C'an Picafort 😎.

Angus Mackay

Honestly I'm not bothered about missing out on Kabadyi, and McLean's refusal hardly chimes with the *he'd crawl to Ibrox on broken glass* narrative getting hawked around. The only player that we've missed out on so far that I'm really disappointed about is Garcia, who looks like exactly what we need. But the manager is placing great emphasis on pre=season and preparation, so it would be very helpful to get some of the bigger signings in soon. Ultimately I would pick the right signings over fast signings, although a combination of the two would be ideal.

Heart and Hand

I’m not 100% the McLean deal is as dead as the press said this morning to be honest. Will dig a bit more and keep you updated.

Gregor McNeish

Just left Vegas where it’s around 48c

Steffen McAndrew

Hello from Davenport, Florida 🇺🇸 Phenomenal sunshine, heat and food and drink. I thought I saw your Doppelganger yesterday in Magic Kingdom on Jungle Cruise, but my eyes were playing tricks on me!

Scott McDougall

Hello from sunny Gran Canaria, just FaceTimed my kids and they’re raging about the weather

Doug Young

Totally agree. I couldn't see why we were going for McLean when Hagi is already there, better and younger. Only thoughts were he might be one they want off the big wages.

Rona Bluebell

Just back from sunny Mallorca. Pleasure listening to the daily update half asleep on a lounger

stefan strzelecki

I’m in Izmir 47 degrees, some manky guests in our hotel too. All ours of the day , wearing the same sweat ridden attire, whilst the weather is so hot , the trees are igniting. Feel sorry for the barman having to serve them food pr drink. An emergency advert for Lynx. Took a huge batch of England balloons for the Slovakia game , ( Long story , left over from work) England fans immersed in their nation progressing, in a cinema room. I was unashamedly supporting England every step of the way , beautiful sight , wee toddlers playing football with the England balloons, great atmosphere, England fans very warm with me , obviously wearing the Rangers training gear helps too😁, Anyway I digress, during the match some moron , sent his twelve year old into the room to investigate what was going on. What type of parent would be so stupid to send a child into a dramatic match night , wearing such a repugnant football top? They really are imbeciles , Turkish staff aren’t giving them , the response they assumed . Think they felt they should be treated as Imans due to their warped politics. Have made great connections, wearing my Hugo Boss , and occasional Rangers gear in the gym . They are just weird🇬🇧

Russ

I'd love to know a team that's gone on to have a successful season after shipping out a dozen players whilst bringing in the same number in the first 2 weeks of the window outwith Abramovich's first couple of seasons at Chelsea and Semi Professional outfits. The bed wetting and panic that I've seen online is fucking deranged man.

Granters

Every close season seems to get more and more deranged. It’s clear the support want success yesterday. A quick look around reveals very few clubs doing big business at the moment, but also signs that it’s about to ramp up. Folk need to calm down a bit.

Darren Littlejohn

Was Kadabayi ‘experienced’? I’m hoping there’s another 4 on the was in the next couple of weeks and the same number on the way out

Martin Sutherland

McLean clearly not the ‘big’ Rangers fan he’s claimed to be. Bullet dodged.

Kevin Blyth

I’m back in UK on leave from NZ and have been bloody freezing, so concur with your sentiments on the summer weather David. It’s winter in NZ and it’s actually warmer there than here! We had one day in the Isle of Skye where it was only 9 degrees and it didn’t get above 12. Was wondering when Scotland moved to the Arctic circle! 😁 I did get a tour of Ibrox in two days ago, which was fantastic! Having moved to NZ in 1997, I’ve never actually had the stadium tour, so really enjoyed it. The museum is absolutely fantastic too and we spent ages in there looking around. Head back to NZ next week, so it’ll be back to listening to your updates on the way to work rather than in the afternoon! Hoping to see some incoming experience soon. We need to have a strong team in place for the CL qualifiers, something that has to be a big focus for us this year!
