Martyn steps in for David Best to speak to David Herd, one of the authors of the newest book out on the Rangers market. Torry tells the story of Torry Gillick and reveals a compelling life story outside of football as well as a trophy laden career that was still blighted by the impact of war. The guys discuss this, Struth's handling of him, the historiography of wartime football and a lot more.

Torry is out on Monday 19th August and can be bought here and all good bookshops

Thanks for inviting us on Martyn, sorry that co-author Ian had to miss our chat due to technical problems. I hope many Rangers (and Everton) fans read Torry's story. Legend is a much overused word, but not in this case.

Wasn't aware of this until now. Will definitely be pre-ordering.
