I must say David, I’m a bit confused by the specific word “indefinite” in the ban. Sure, it could mean a lifetime (which I hope it does, at least for the person who actually threw the punch) but it could also mean they’re back at Ibrox in a matter of months. Do you know if this is legalese (i.e. they can’t issue a lifetime ban until there’s a conviction) or is that just the term they’re using?

Thanks David great post...as for MB he is still licking his wounds and spinning his head looking for any other scapegoat he can find...my opinion of him started when the pressure on gio was happening and MB appeared among the fans in a pub even though they were hints he could be the next manager..sorry not class could you see Walter doing that...will be glad to come out of the tunnel and have some happy times again...lets back the team and the Manager.

Been following the Sima discourse the last couple of days. Tbh I thought him and McCausland were a great dynamic on the wings. One had the athletic prowess and the other the technical proactivism. When those two fell out the team our season nosedived.

First game back at Ibrox will be epic thats for sure for the fans and the players, on Micheal Beale that man is completely delusional and should stay away from all media outlets to stop the utter embarrassment he creates for himself.

Good news about the steel. It would be nice if they put up some images to show progress was being made as it would maybe calm some people down. As for Beale, he’s entitled to have his say and defend himself. Not everyone will agree with him. At the end of the day he was a poor manager, but he was a good coach under Gerrard. That’s my take and he’s not really Rangers news anymore. He’s always welcome to come back and support the club, because that’s who we are.

Beale's ego won't allow him to disappear when it comes to being associated with our club or what he perceives to have happened. Anyone with a bit of self awareness would be keeping a low profile and not speaking about his disastrous year in management but gobshite can't help himself. A part of me still feels that we deserve all we get for the abhorrent treatment of a Dutch legend and a great Rangers player in GVB. 6 Months on from a Euro final, qualification to the champions league, countless injuries and none of the players brought in that he identified that summer and had to make do with that arrogant prick of a midget's signings just to sack him and bring in the fraud that is Beale. History will be kind to GVB and many more will say he was sacked too early, I know I will. Since then, nothing but incompetence and horrendous judgement. We certainly are reaping what we sowed now, look at the fucking state of us.

Game1 of EL is 25/26 Sept As much as I think the atmosphere would be immense for that the club should be trying to lobby UEFA to play away and then home Game 2 on 3 Oct Should in theory avoid any issues on being stuck at Hampden for groups

Beale is a little bit like Donald Trump, he thinks it, he says it so in his mind it’s true. In a sense, he was looking at a rebuild, the difference is the squad he inherited had saleable assets and the board backed him. Whether he likes it or not, his job was far easier than Clements and Beale himself made a pigs ear of it. Then went to Sunderland and made a pigs ear of that. He needs to get humble, drop down the leagues and build his reputation again. Talking shite on podcasts won’t get him another job of the profile of the jobs he has been sacked from (well maybe the Chelsea job…)

Compared to those who followed, it wasn't actually that bad and apart from the 55 season, it's pretty much the same as any other in our recent history. You could argue that circumstances including injuries, certain players downing tools and a squad that had reached its end hindered him somewhat. My opinion then and now is that he deserved more time. The same fanbase that mostly wanted Beale brought in and lauded him as some sort of footballing prodigy. A stronger minded board wouldn't have been so reactive or reckless but that's another problem. I'll happily sit in with the "very few" gang.

it would be interesting to hear from clement about why he was so adamant that Hagi will “definitely be sold this summer” a couple of weeks ago yet here we are with about 10 days of the window left and there has been no progress on this. Hagi got plenty minutes at the Euros and would probably be available for about £3million I expect. It is alarming that we can’t seem to shift him. The lack of rumours around Cantwell suggests he might still be here come September.

Hi David. Have you heard anything regarding the club complaining to UEFA about that cheat of a referee last week? I know the manager stated that he wasn't saying anything due to fines etc but surely the club should be putting some sort of scrutiny on that 'performance'. I know UEFA don't really care but that person should be nowhere near that type of match.
