Found this a really interesting listen. In regards to sterling he hasn't always been fit either so has also missed small spells here and there. Hard trying to cement a place when you're not always available. His strength and athleticism is incredible. He gives me calvin bassey vibes. A lot of people say he is a utility player and that he must get bored of it but I think that was due to the number of injuries last season he was being moved about so frequently and hopefully this season that won't happen. that being said I think he is best in CM however can cover at RB and LB if needed. To win the league we need subs who can come on and change the game and not have a drop off in quality so i dont think him being a "squad player" is a negative. We need a strong bench and dio and barron cant play 60 games . We should be making subs at 60 mins with no drop off in quality to allow players rest. He will play an important part regardless. Long term RB position and also back up to Tav is needed. Is sterling the man for RB? Who knows. He certainly won't have a free kick like tavs but he can defo bomb up and down the wing and with more coaching can he be taught to link up and play cut backs into the box like bassey? Probably more than likely because he is talented. Really enjoyed this pod 👌🏼💯
