David is joined by Martyn as they go over the very pleasant victory over Ross County. They look at transfer needs this week then what we need to see next Sunday.

Hopefully they will keep dessers and Motondo

On the game at the weekend, if we're brave and proactive in the first 15-20 we'll get something out of it. If we concede a couple of corners in the first minute then it's probably curtains though. Just want the team to surprise us.

Steffen McAndrew

Are we still going to persist with Tav? He needs more protection from a good centre half and centre mid, but I fear that he is now a really weak link. And i have been a massive fan of his.

Interesting comment from Martin around the idea some people wanted to dismiss Dessers failings, don’t think that’s any more the case than some want to over egg his deficiencies. I have said for some time I don’t believe he got the credit he deserved for his contribution and many out these were desperate to focus on what he couldn’t do more than what he could. Undoubtedly some went early and felt they couldn’t come back. I have heard all the arguments on here including the really strained he scores but not important goals which as any striker will tell you, isn’t a thing. Every goal for a striker matters, every one means that they have done their job properly. It’s how they measure themselves dismissing goals is the most bizarre take that was put forward. I am delighted for the big man who has had a Rockyesque return this season. He looks sharp, he looks fit and he looks hungry. In fairness to the rest of the team and the manager he is obviously thriving in the new found confidence in the set up. The players looked like there was a plan, it might still be that without that first 11 all firing we don’t always capture that same energy but it was positive and some of the link up across the middle to front was very nice to watch. The timing couldn’t be better for that little upsurge. If we can just go into the next game positive, with a mindset that we are going into just another game to win and compete I think we might just surprise them. The biggest compliment I can pay the team for the last two weeks is I am now dying to see what they can do next game not dreading it. It doesn’t really take much to inspire the fans, heart, application and a sense of purpose. Let’s hope the belief is back and this is the upturn we have been waiting on. A decent result and a few bodies in ( the right kind) and it could all suddenly be a much brighter season.

Does Martyn/David think we will still be paying a wedge of Davies salary ?

Calum Robertson

Disappointed not to see either McKinnon or Rice getting some time instead of Dowell on Saturday Also do you think there was anything in playing Fraser and McCausland on their opposite sides to normal or just Clement thinking 15 minutes giving this a try won’t matter ?

We will do the scum on Sunday. I am basing this very firmly on the law of averages. We do not need to fear these cnuts like a lot of folk on here bang on about. We need a fair refereeing performance and a bit of luck for a change. Im less worried about this game and looking forward to seeing how the team evolves over the season after watching us improve so far week after week. Send them on .

Alan Cowan

Totally agree Maeda will be on him big time Sunday. He's the weakest link in the current set up and we should be very concerned that we seem to have zero back up for that position. Yes we require other positions that we discuss but we seem to be washing over this one

433 against them Barron Sterling dio just in front Matondo dessers corny Let's do it rangers

Mark Boyd

Martyn dead right. You need big players to walk in and tell them there’s nothing to fear and stop the respect for that lot

Allister

Who were the two strikers Martyn referred to who started great then got injured/illness?

stevan castrissios

For the game at the weekend, be alert for the first 15mins. Then win.

Graham Roy

Haven’t seen anything from Dowell and I wasn’t sure if manager was playing him hoping someone sees him and takes him even on loan!

Martin Boyd

Surely a continental thing of playing players out their comfort zone so they understand other roles within the team.

Craig

Just keeping the same shape as we had for the previous 75 with Matondo and Cerny inverted.

David Booth

Completely agree with Martyn with the management team trying to work on Dessers weak points (ie cutting in rather than shooting). If you watch the first goal back he actually shifts like he is going to try and cut back inside but then touches outside instead

Angus Mackay

We need to escape the circle of destruction. If it “goes bad’ on Sunday then the rational fans need to stand up to the more reactionary. We’re four weeks into a rebuilt side competing and it’s still a long way from being finished. If we do come short, people need to channel their angst in the right direction.

Barry Kerr

Martyn is right on Matondo but he's never started more than 3 games in a row since he's been here. He has kind of had a big moment with the equaliser in the 3-3 game at Ibrox. He's not really got going due to injury either but his numbers again for the role he plays aren't actually that bad. If he had a football brain he would be more dangerous :D and yeah for the money you expect more from him but if you don't get a consistent run in the side you'll get the inconsistency you see with Matondo.
