They say a week is a long time in football and a lot has happened in the last 7 days - the transfer window closed, the EL draw and now a Old Firm game to end the week.

We don’t have a great record in this fixture but there’s only one way to fix that...

Great podcast but computer couldn't have been pre run as all down to the order of first teams drawn? Unless that was fixed. And I doubt that!!

John Smith

When do the times and dates get announced ?

We had two "good performances" against them last season? Seriously? What ones? We van cry unlucky as much as we might but we failed to perform in far too many. Didn't turn up at all at Ibrox except for 30 mins in the must win game, we went 2 down 3 times over the 5 games. Not sure how any, never mind two would be good performances. We'll certainly need better than that to win tomorrow! Plus no obligatory terrible big calls! Horrible VAR calls in too many games. Good listen.

Agents job is to get the best deal for their player. If nobody wants to pay Hagi any more money than what he's on, why does he need to move? Hagi will have a say in this, its our fault for giving him the stupid contract in the first place

Alexander Bruce Crombie

Good , honest pod. But…. I can’t see us getting a result. New players won’t be trusted and we’ve seen the script with the rest of them.

Spoon

Great pod gents. For me it’s not if we can get a result it’s will be set up to get the best of the team and focus on our game or are we going again to stand off them and let them play. We absolutely can do it if we get on the front foot, show no fear and take it to them. It’s simple for me if we go to contain and play for scraps we will get the same result as usual. If however we go and the players are in the right head space, the selection is positive and has legs we can beat them. I’m going 3-1 to us. It could just as easily be the reverse of that though.

Doogz

Hagi wanted out and made that clear before he went to Euros, his agents cannot find him a club, he wasn’t up to it for us prior to his injury, and he’s miles away now.

Bixby Snyder

The LCB is gonna have to play a stormer tomorrow covering Jefte & Matondo, who might get caught high. Hoping Sterling can float about to cover as well. We need the fullbacks more forward to combine with the wingers against this lot.

John Hood

Cantwell went missing v Betis away, also never really featured in Europe. Nuff said for me. Liked him but......

Why would someone move to a new job to take a pay cut if they didn't want to?

John MacRae

I agree completely about the EL draw already been done before the event… I don’t have an issue with it being computer generated, but don’t make it out like it’s being done live.

Spoon

Not sure that’s the case, seems to me more like Beale told him he had no future so he made plans accordingly, Clement has shown he also doesn’t waste time on players he has decided are surplus either. I think it can be true he said he was going to look elsewhere but the bigger issue was did the club offer him a future ?

Doogz

He said before the Euros my agents know what I want, they will work to get me a team and manager that suits my style of play. That’s hardly Rangers fault that no half decent team moved for him, If some fans want to hang onto the birthday caird piss now being spouted that’s on them. If he had a good offer he would have been away and not given us a second thought.

I really wanted Miller too, Stevie, but realistically we all know that a more physically aggressive 10 was one of our biggest priorities this summer. As long as Bajrami is on sensible wages I think the deal makes sense. Would Miller make the most sense in the long term? Probably. But Kevin's contribution at the end here exposes our central problem as a support. Too many of us still allow our thinking to be dominated by the short term and one game in particular. In the real world - one in which Brighton can spend four times as much on one player as we probably spent all simmer in fees - we no longer enjoy that luxury. We either get over that and get behind a longer term rebuild, or we sink ever further into the mud repeating the cycle of failure. Tjose are our choices.

James McCabe

I have to say I couldn’t have agreed with Stevie more when he was talking about Lennon Miller. I’m personally sick to the back teeth of us buying English rejects & foreign duds. As the biggest club in the country we should be hovering up the best local talent & getting them into our 1st team. I honestly believe that the academy staff aren’t doing there job right with the lack of talent coming through.

JimGLW

Agreed. The bloody minded attitude to still say guys like Matondo are better than likes of Lewis Ferguson is incredible

C'mon Rangers, first time in a couple of years where the majority of the fan base are happy with the lineup. Do the right thing!
