I don’t know if our players lack the stamina to keep it going ? I’m no expert by the way

I would play Big Kaz at right back. He must be quality or we wouldn’t have signed him. Tav requires a break, and docherty would be immediately put on the back foot tactically , Dundee are competent , regardless we should be sweeping them aside, with any first eleven .

I’d only make a couple of changes to the starting XI to help them keep as much momentum as possible from last week. Not having a midweek game this week reduces the need to rotate and it’s then another five days until Malmo. Ideally we’d be able to make more changes but this team can’t take the risk. We need to win this competition. If the game is done on 60 then Clement can make a few subs with next Thursday in mind.

Lots of points, but a few I disagree with. On the back 4, I think we have to think about what Kasanwirjo has been brought into do. I think Pröpper lacks pace, as does Souttar and that's a problem. Kas apparently has pace. My hunch is he has been brought into play CB alongside Pröpper and if that's the case we need to try it on Saturday. Igamane won't start. If he could only do 20 mins last week he isn't starting this week. I want to see Bajrami at 10, giving him a chance to bed in ahead of Malmö.

How many times does Ross need to say fantastic 🤦‍♂️😂

We obviously need to shift Dowell on. As it’s early in the season with one game each week, i don’t think we need to rest players. I wouldn’t play him. Others need game time. I would play McCausland because he needs experience and he has the potential to be a decent player.

Game on Saturday is no gimme and we can’t treat it as such

If I hear f******g 'HEFTY' one more time... In european and brasilian Portuguese, J is a softer sound than in English, more like you're trying to say 'zj'. Say his name like this: Zjef-tae The 'h' sound is from Spanish, like jalapeño, pronounced: ha-la-pen-yo Obrigado, e boa noite 🇧🇷

Enjoyed the pod and broadly agree with most of the comment. I would really like to see us approach players and selection as something other than a zero sum equation, one player doesn’t have to be gash for another to be good. The comment around Dessers never having played a weighted pass in a game he played two in 5 minutes, one a goal the other a miss by Cortes illustrates the point. You don’t have to slate Dessers to fancy seeing more of Big Ig. It’s great to finally have guys with variety to their skill set potentially but let’s be cautious we don’t cut our nose off to spite our face. To me the ideal remains to play two proper strikers as a pair however in his wisdom Clement seems to ignore this option. Failing that the next best thing is a 60 min / 30 min rotation of your strikers to keep both fit, sharp and give teams different problems. Dropping a guy into the cold rarely works well, we need to normalise guys rotating as part of a plan and not punitive thing. Which ever striker starts we should be planning to give the other at least a third of the game. Let’s not put too much pressure on the new striker, Danilo was the saviour a few weeks ago but he sadly seems to be Roofe mk 2, we go too early on players or dig a position and refuse to budge. We don’t have any player currently who doesn’t have flaws or needs a specific set of circumstances to shine that we can’t always provide. For me we blame the individuals a lot without looking at the wider issues with selection, team make up, tactics and opposition. It’s often just pick the ‘best’ 11 and it’s enough. Think we need to move from that, Gerrard got success with variation and selection based on opponent more than favourites, I would like that to come back. I tend to agree with Ross on stability currently, we need a rhythm and as the manager says automation to our play and wholesale change doesn’t allow that. Until we are comfortable in games and the system beds in we need to just be a bit more settled for me. Enjoyed the discussion, fair and balanced.

Since when did we start worrying about disrespecting the likes of Dundee? That club are little arsewipes that deserve ZERO respect.
