Hoggy is back and..... whisper it...... 2 wins, 2 clean sheet and we might just be seeing the beginnings of a team!

At long last - a win over a Swedish side after IFK Gothenburg and Malmo of the past, coupled with clean sheets at home.

A Patron driven Hamper - by you and for you.

Enjoy.

I’m 20 minutes in and I agree with you 100%

Brilliant stuff Hoggy The standards issues for me start from the top which spills into recruitment which spills into due diligence of the type of character we buy in Starts from the top Hard to set standards with cheap easy options that are not led from the guys demanding the standards from the top

What a superb pod Hoggy, I’m all on board the positivity train (please don’t make a balls of Sunday rangers)

Graham Roy

Happy Belated Birthday…..you are correct about social media being more of an issue than demanding better standards….having come off most social media I have noticed a difference in my outlook with regards to Rangers……still have the same chats with my friends but no longer seeing the destroy everything as it’s pure shite does help your mental health!

I agree with a lot of what you said Hoggy, but just to be clear I wasn’t in any way advocating a lowering of standards. The point I was struggling to make was that we would attain those standards again more quickly if we give this you team a little more room to breathe right now, because the hole we’re trying to climb out of is unusually deep. Once the trading model is up and running, the dips should be much shallower. I agree though, the genesis is on-line, and that spreads to the stadium and sometimes the wider support. I think that prominent fans snd influential figures on-line need to be aware of it and call it out when it happens, because our enemies in the media are channeling it and using it against us.

Spot on Hoggy about some of the optimism being really just built on hope. We have been spending money on young players in the hope they'd bring success for years, it's not like a new strategy for us. Matondo, Yilmaz, Raskin didn't come for pennies. Clement has signed a mix of youth and experience and spent a fair bit in the process. We're being asked to believe 'but this time it's different '. Again. Anyway, just back from Malmo, great result and probably the best away end I've been in! And a lovely city.

Thanks Hoggy. Enjoyed that. Regarding Igamane passport issue, was Andrew Dickson not replaced as head of football administration during Bennett’s restructuring last year? He seemed to me to have been more than competent at his job, having been at the club for many years. Who has been undertaking his duties meanwhilst?

I think an an application for a Swedish visa takes up to 30 days to process, so if the club applied the split second we drew Malmo there would still be a risk of Igamane being unable to travel. This was the 3rd piece of nonsense surrounding this tie, along with Jefte’s suspension and Cortes’ late injury but the team had the mental fortitude to overcome them , which is a promising sign.
