Got to say Raskin must be sold.....not taking any chances he gets and manager now seems to have seen enough

Vanb bryceter

Great summary in your pod description David 👍

John Jamieson

Not pretty but 3 points move on and look forward to Thursday

Fraser86

Only seen the second half, was raskin just pish? I noticed second half hibs had alot of the ball, I think we're missing a guy in the middle of the pitch that can dictact the tempo.

John Calder

Very similar to McCall's . A good while back that one. But when your first game was in 1961 then you can claim to be one of the oldies

Joe mitchell

Clement seems intent on never playing his strongest side. Thursday night was the first signs of some cohesion & then he changes it up again. We can never gather any momentum & I think he's too hung up on sports science. Fed up hearing that this player said this or this player said that. Start your strongest team & get job done. It's ok saying " well it's three points " but there is a trend here under Clement. Add to that guys signed who will probably never play they're true position. I know this sounds really negative but I do worry we are becoming more accepting of mediocrity.

Tom Davison

There’s always the “a couple of windows talk” which is fair enough but surely we have to hope that eventually some decent young guys will emerge from our B team/academy

Latimer

Yip you don't build momentum and confidence with performances like this.

Tom Davison

Perhaps something to ask the manager about at an appropriate time. The cost related to the Academy must be considerable with the productivity modest at best.

Joe mitchell

If you seen Andy Holliday on open goal say Bailey rice was ahead of Lennon Miller at Motherwell & looks at both of them now. What the hell are we doing ?

Niall MacKay

We are an odd club, aren't we? There can't be many in the world who win 1-0 in a tight game and you don't take any pleasure away from it at all. Glad we held on but there were some really questionable decision by the manager there. In a game that's a grind, you can't have a midfield three containing Dowell and Lawrence. He got that badly wrong.

Heart and Hand

Have done, he says they won’t get in till they are ready and that he won’t give them appearances just for the sake of it, they have to earn them.

Stephen

Correct . If we have players who can’t play 2 games a week in September they never will be able to. Especially when we have 3 internationals breaks between September and November. Clement seems to only play players when they are 100% fit.

Baz

I’d rather see young Rice or McKinnon getting a chance over Dowell to be honest just not the level required.

Graeme Burns

Thought the ‘new’ singing section in the Copland front was awful. Just white noise all game, didn’t add anything, just became annoying and was totally unreflective of the mood of the stadium. You’d be better playing a tape of generic crowd noises over the tannoy. Rubbish.

HammerHead

We wom that's all that matters.

Charles McIntyre

I must be an oldie as I remember the goal from McCall vaguely. If my memory serves me right he cut in from the right and curled it into the top corner at the Copland end in a 1-0 win?

Jamiedfa

That McCall (the equaliser) )goal, it was my Dads 40th that day and as a young 15 year old I wrote to Ibrox to have his birthday wishes on the scoreboard at halftime, they showed before the game and we missed it!,

Russ

The Thursday/Sunday and Hibs having 2 weeks is a valid point but the lads will have this one and no more from me for that excuse, considering we'll have this turnaround until January and possibly beyond.

Blair McGunnigle

Good shout ref McCall, remember that goal on a montage of the season review, maybe in the introduction. Must have watched that 50 times as a kid

Graham Roy

Hope is all we have for the B team players so far in recent years only mccausland has taken his chance!

Cairo

Place would be a morgue without that "white noise all game" imo. Might be better this week vs Lyon.

Graeme Burns

I don’t subscribe to the view that any noise is better than no noise. Our stadium comes alive in a way that few others can - it’s an organic, natural thing and really quite special when it happens. Not every home game is going to be like ‘Leipzig’, and it shouldn’t be, it’s a big part of what makes those games unique. It can’t be like that every week. The crowd noise should ebb and flow with the game, quieter at times but then ramping and surging when we’re on the attack, under the cosh or annoyed with the officiating, fluctuating between 1-10 through the game. Not set at a constant 4 by a small noisy group more interested in singing about sectarian politics in part than following the game.
