Rangers get a lesson from the clinical French side.

John Smith

Lyon were quality David but I thought we were so poor tonight from the goal onwards. Far too many of our players made unnecessary mistakes.

George Higgins

Spot on David. I hope we learn from this.

Baz

Team definitely needs to be managed better in terms of player selection to the opposition we are playing, was very obvious having a quick left winger against us tav was always going to have a tough night, nana should of started at right back. As for the attacking players Bajrami was excellent the rest were just passengers. Quite concerning to be honest.

Dougie McAllister

Why Dowell...! when we could put Bajrami (ourP.O.TM.) into the No 10 position and McCausland on the wing...

Stewart Thomson

I've not watched yet but what happened to the Clement who went 5 at the back against sparta last season? When it suited us to go defensive he did. Just looked so naive tonight, especially after saying a draw would be a good result

Andy Gray

Spot on assessment as usual. Our lack of pace in games at this level will continue to hamper us. FCSB 2 wins from 2 so hardly an easy game next time round.

Graeme Strachan

We are awful. The regression is off the scale and difficult to watch. Glad you mentioned Barron as I thought the same, he was caught out a few times. You mentioned structure and style of play but genuinely struggle to see what we are doing? There is no tangible spine about the team. Proper, Soutar, Barron, Diamonde and then Dowell...🤯. Just too lightweight. All made too easy for a pacy, slick and impressive Lyon side.

Robert Reid Jnr

Questions need asked why we extend PCs contract!

Craig Murray

if that doesnt end tav career tonight nothing will , hes finished, but what about thr managers subs, dowell what did he do second half?? and dessers he hiding , this isnt going to end well with the manager , hes no plan b a belgian warburton

Andy McKellar

A very fair assessment, David. Lyon have a lot of quality but we didn’t do enough to make them work for their chances or goals. Could have scored more.

Martin Boyd

Frantic nonsense first half but their front 3 are outstanding . Shame you can’t turn off the comments on Facebook David absolutely toxic .

Darren Littlejohn

Mentally we were horrendous and unfortunately our Captain looked as bad as he’s been in that way. Barron was found out but can improve, Cerny maybe not

Billy Forrester

Not gonna get too low over this, we weren’t awful but equally we weren’t good however they are a quality team, a Champions League regular outfit who are just better than us all over the pitch. The rage from one week to the next from some quarters is bordering on insane. We are a big fish in a small pond in Scotland who will beat majority of teams but in Europe we are just a middle of the road outfit who will win some and lose a lot. We are where we are 🤷‍♂️

John Hood

On a slightly different note I wonder how Uefa will react to the fireworks tonight. Thought it impacted on our momentum at that point in the game when we were pushing. Personally was raging and would ban UB for next game.

Spoon

Comment spot on Billy, their wingers and ours are in stark contrast in terms of quality and output !

Billy Forrester

Agreed, the fireworks were a disgrace and will get us another fine no doubt. Pointless and nobody wants it

To bring dowell on was criminal, why couldn't he put bajrami in the 10 and jefte on the wing with nana at LB, sterling could have replaced tav later and any cnt from our bench could have replaced cerny and been better. Obvious decisions are constantly being ignored by Clement, im really starting to worry hes not who we need to kick on coz he never learns and doesnt seem to be tactically astute.

Billy Forrester

All the noise after Malmö was In Clement we trust, can’t have it both ways mate. Maybe they were just a far better team

8luenose1872

They were better but his decisions and team setup have been awful more often than not. I was prepared to give him the benefit of the doubt coz of the squad he has but he never learns and persists with players who are not good enough and are costing us. Hibs getting 18 shots on goal and dominating us should be a massive red flag regarding how easy we are to get at under him. Most fans were not thinking it was all rosy after one good result and performance imo either, especially against a poor malmo
