Tremendous show guys 👏 Thank you for opening up James. As someone who has lost 2 of my favourite people to suicide and also as someone who has more than once considered it, it was really fantastic to hear you share your story. I hope others in the same position will always choose talking over suffering in silence and god forbid worse 🙏

Another good pod 👍🏻

Thank you for your comments and support, John. A really big thing for me personally and professionally is normalising (men, especially) talking out loud when we aren't 'OK', well before we reach the cliff, and working on our wellbeing daily, regardless of our current state of 'OK'. For far too many of us, waiting for an ambulance at the bottom of the cliff is too late.

Wow , fair play James for opening up like that , it just shows that beyond our facade we never know what's going on with anyone . Keep moving for mate 👍 and great pod , shows Gents. Love this show

Kirk Guthrie

Really, really enjoyed this. Felt like I needed it today, looking forward to the next one, thanks gents.

Good listen James and Alex, insightful on the importance of psychology for young players in particular but hearing about James' own encounters with "rock bottom" is relatable for all of us I think. It's an under-appreciated point about how "young" you can be in terms of psychology in your mid-20s and even into your 30s - no matter the responsibilities you have or what you've achieved by that stage in life, many people are still fighting battles they don't fully understand.

Great show lads. Look forward to future episodes.

My mate plays for Paisley Rugby Club. I say plays for, that is a stretch 🤣
