Stewart Robertson

I've gone through the seven stages of Rangers. I'm at "Acceptance".

John Smith

I must say I think Olaru is a fantastic player and captain. Stopping him will be key I think

David Hanlon

Can we please have no more Foreign managers. Apart from Advocaat all our foreign managers have been failures. Yes we did get to a European final but in the league we are not good enough. I don't think foreign managers understand our league no matter what they say and seem to be unable to change how they set their team up.

Ross

Is Olaru not banned for this fixture as he was sent off in the last game?

Charlie Nicolson

Am local to Forthbank at the moment, so it's an easy choice to get to the game tonight

John Smith

I agree David. Personally we could do with some more selfish players

Rona Bluebell

One bit of learning from the past few years is this - pre-season friendlies do matter more than we think and do indicate what lies ahead! If you’re going ‘WTAF’ then, it’s really amplified come October.

David Campbell

How often have we said the next game is a chance for a reaction. For nothing to happen Clement is like a dazed boxer stumbling about just waiting for the knockout blow a few rounds to go yet. I want B team players to have the drive and arrogance to know exactly where they want to get to and not being scared to talk about it.

Graeme Campbell

Is there no way scot can go do the press conferences this week just incase gigi is there?

Graeme Burns

I’d given PC the benefit of the doubt and was looking forward to seeing the ‘October November’ version that he spoke about in early season. Now I’ve seen it it’s quite easy to draw the conclusion that we are materially worse than last season across the entire pitch despite having spent £12M and many weeks to ‘gel’ it together. Injuries play a part, but so does recruitment, training, tactical development and fighting spirit. They are less than the sum of their parts and I’m worried about the next 6 weeks worth of games. A stick or twist moment is coming very soon. Stick - show patience and accept there are no quick fixes, or Twist - start again with another coach and another set of ideas. We need to be more than the sum of our parts given they can outspend us. Can PC do it? Not looking good at present…

Sandy Maclarty

David, I agree with you, the boys should be looking to get to the first team. And I loved the way you said “ that’s me!” towards the end of the pod there. Like a child at Christmas.

Colin McL.

Nothing wrong with ambition. And at least it’s being articulated correctly rather than through an agent demanding first team appearances and a hefty wage.

Steve Clark

I agree with you David I want our younger players to have there focus on getting in to the first team.winning things at b level is a bonus but it shouldn’t be the main goal

Scott Kerr

Agree David, Findlay wants to make the first team. Nothing wrong with that 🔥

Stephen

Anyone know if the Mygers window for tickets for the cup semi is open yet? Just says Sold Out for me when I try to buy one. Hope it is! 😂

Heart and Hand

Check your email, you should have had an email with the chance to buy because it's now at about 40 points.

Gordon Burns

The point of the B team is to get players prepared for playing in the first team. If the boy didn't have that attitude, I think it would be worrying. So basically I agree with you.

Greig Neilson

3 years in a row we’ve seen the collapse, that’s why we all agree.

Mark Wilson

Also agree with you David there should always be a little push from every player not just the young guys

Callum Gordon

Think the young lad is right , he is focused on what he needs to do to progress , if he gets that right then he will drag the team along with him and his focus should be infectious.

Jim Milne

We will get a result on Thursday, best St. Mirren then lose to Aberdeen. Motherwell I have no idea. It's what this team does irregardless of new players and manager.

Jim Milne

We fired Beale for less. Clement says he was told a "different story" concerning finances etc......but he's spent more than Gio and similar to Beale. Clement has easily spent £20m. He's signed 12 with minimum £18m, and likely more if you include loan fees and signing on fees for free transfers. Silva? Propper - £2m Diomande - £4m Cortes - £4m Bajrami - £4m Nsiala - ? Igamane - £1.5m Cerny ? Jefte - £600k Kasanwirjo - £1.5m Barron - free Kelly - free IMO it's not good enough. I hope I'm wrong and he turns it around. I feel that the board will keep him even if Aberdeen beat us. I just want him gone, replaced with British manager and a core of British players. Just my 2 cents.

Stephen

Indeed. His focus should be being the best player in his position and getting to the first team. There will be thousands of good teammates with youth cup medals who didn’t make it in the game.

David Scott

What is the fallout if we fail to win on Thursday? nothing is guaranteed with this squad and manager

Hendi

"Spend" is not just about transfer fees. Our wage bill is significantly reduced.

Jim Milne

He has still "spent" £20m in 12 months. Just because you pay a player less doesn't mean you don't still pay the £4m fee. He's spent more than Gio and same as Beale.

Alastair Thomson Mills

Clement does not listen to anyone but himself. It’s not his fault it’s ours. That’s why he needs to go.

Hendi

He hasn't because his total spend and what he has at his disposal, is significantly less. He's had far more go out the door than those 2 combined.

Hendi

Kris Boyd is an utter simpleton. He's been prophecising doom all season, any fuel for his permanent outrage is good news for him and Sky. Last time I saw him on Sky Sports News he was grinning like the Cheshire Cat, when some posh boy presenter was heaping praise on him for generating huge social media engagement with his latest rant/timmy porn. That's all he's interested in.

Jim Milne

I'm not gonna argue, the facts are there. He has spent NET more on transfers than Gio & Beale.

Graham Jones

The board have been selling gather supporters a pack of lies for the past three years. King might not be what people want,. But he’s what wee need. He’s never been in it for the blazer and tie, because he’s spent too much money investing into the club since the turn of the century. There has been no leadership at the top for the past there years or so, and that coincided when he stepped aside and allowed the Park’s and their buddies begin the ruination of Rangers Football Club. They don’t so so intentionally, but because they don’t know what is required to run the football club properly. They point to the European Final, yet that was done with a side built under King and Gerrard. Gio had the rug pulled from under him, Beale was left to try and do ti all himself when he wasn’t capable of, and now, a good manager had been left to try and muddle by with an assembly of players cobbled together on a shoestring budget. We all know this, yet people still can’t see the root of the problem goes up to the top. Manager after manager have been let down, and bad decision after bad decision has been made due to incompetence. This board aren’t leaders and we simply need someone who is ready to step up and offer it.

Hendi

You're picking a stat to fit your agenda. Transfer fees are only one part of the equation which you are presenting as the only part as it fits your argument. Teams with the highest wage bills win trophies on general. Our wage bill is down.

Jim Milne

I'm not picking a stat to suit my agenda. A new manager always has players they sell and buy. He also didn't offload the top earners. Most of them ran their contract out, Goldon went for £1.5m and £200k for Cantwell. The wages might be reduced, but he has spent more on transfer fees than both the previous managers. Perhaps if he hadn't bottled the league by playing players who were in terrible form he'd have had even more money. He needs chased now.

Stuart Grady

He’s been spot on so far tbf. Prophecising doom? Or seeing the blatantly obvious?

Hendi

Players running their contract down wasn't within his control. He's hamstrung by it though. Losing a team and unable to generate any income from their departures or acquire anyone of a similar standing.

Jim Milne

He could potentially have generated £40m if he had dropped players who needed dropped. He's spent more in fees than last managers, his current form is worse than Beales, he can't change tactics midgame, has signed players who clearly don't understand his instructions or aren't capable and that's on Clement. He was hired in October and could have offloaded players in January window but he chose to spend £8m on Diomande and Cortes then signed Silva on loan when we needed a goalscorer. Irregardless of you thinking I'm wrong the majority believe he needs to be fired or resign.

Hendi

What players should he have dropped? And what world beaters was he to replace them with? What players could he have offloaded in January?

Jim Milne

It won't matter what I say you won't agree. Will it? I'd have offloaded: Barasic Lundstram Jack Dowell I'd have dropped Goldson, Tav, Dessers, Silva (Remember Roofe was fit and Clement didn't play him. So was Jack who Steve Clarke told everyone he was fit and not picked).

Jim Milne

I'm out. Having the last word seems more important to you than respecting someone's opinion.

Tolmie

Agree with you Edgar on the young boy but the boy could be pele and he wouldn’t get a chance

Robbie McCarroll

My dream is a Gallus goal scoring youth player to come through the system, feels like a myth or fable but I live in hope…maybe this could be the one

Granters

When a manager starts slabbering obvious drivel in post-match interviews you know the Countdown theme tune has started playing. Happened with Eck, happened with Gio, to be fair Beale talked pish from day 1, now it’s starting to happen with Clement.

David Baillie

I don’t mind young players having a degree of selfishness within their makeup. I can’t even think who was the last striker we produced that was of any decent level. Robert Fleck? John Spencer?

Billy Forrester

As it should have been, we were highest wage bill in the country, more than that mob and that’s just madness

Steven L

The young man has believe in himself absolutely nothing wrong with that. We need more of it I say. Proper bastard that only cares about scoring goals for his team. I’ll take that every single day of the week.

JimGLW

I find the update pods even more vital during such tough times. Cheers fellas

Graham Jones

I love seeing young players backing themselves like this. It shows ambition and that’s exactly what they need to hold on to. I think you have to hold on to ambition your whole career. Richard Gough always said he aimed to improve every season because if he didn’t then he wouldn’t be at the club.the first team isn’t where I want it to be right now, but it’s kinda where I thought it might be. New players and younger signings can bring some challenges unless they’re walking into an experienced core of players, and they aren’t anymore. That core has gone, and Clement will be looking to build that new core. What’s been ugly to watch, is the way the media has been going for the manager. They want blood because they like to see us sack a manager. I’m particularly concerned by some of the lines that get dropped on Rangers Review. Supporters think this is a fan website, and it’s isn’t. It’s’ an evening Times website.
