BIG G

Great analysis

John Smith

Cerny is a top class player. I’d go as far as to say when he’s on that kind of form he’s our most valuable asset

Steff Clarke

Got to the Christchurch Airport Business Lounge at 7.45am, just in time to see the KO at 8am. Random place to watch the mighty Gers. However, we totally dodged a bullet at the beginning...

Jim Milne

Initially I thought Butland screwed up, but I thought the replay showed their forward kicked Butland's foot rather than the ball. Doesn't matter though. I just enjoyed watching us win, play well, introduce youngsters and the subs contribute. I've been for changing manager, I don't want to continually change. So come on Rangers & Clement please make this evening count! Let's go on a run and win important games, mainly against them.

Billy Forrester

He isn’t our asset John, he is on loan and he is very frustrating as shows glimpses but not often enough and he can be woeful at times too

John Smith

Shit ! Forgot that Billy 😆 Yeah he isn’t consistent enough but definitely a great player when he’s on it

John Smith

Yeah I was panicking at first but the more you look at it he’s definitely impeded. Even some Celtic fans I saw said it was a foul so that tells you everything

Billy Forrester

A very very good performance but they are not forgiven for Sunday, it will take a run of results and performances to ease our frustration. We need to see signs that clement and this team are heading in the right direction. Raskin was superb tonight, welcome to Rangers Nico

Jim Milne

I think VAR would have came to the same conclusion, and I say that after watching the replay 3 times. Their player definitely makes contact with Butland's foot but we've seen them given before so let's just enjoy tonight. Also, good afternoon!

Jim Milne

Billy IMO he needs to do right now what Sima did last year. Sima started poorly then turned the corner. I'm not sure he can because he seems a "European player" in that he needs space and struggles with a low block like most teams in Scotland play. Hope I'm wrong because he seems like a decent human being, and does have talent.

Ross Mcfarlane

I got the impression his teammates were bypassing Dessers tonight as if they’ve lost faith in him as well.

Iain Dunleavy

Sums up the last 4 years good in Europe shite in the league.

Steff Clarke

120km winds in Wellington and rain stroms, let's just say stepping onto the twin-prop is going to evuntuate in a very 'interesting' flight! I am taking the precaution of pre-loading some wine before departure!

Scott

Second half much better than the first. Diomande and Igamane offer much more in pace and movement in the final 3rd. Needs to back the kids.

Ross Mcfarlane

On a human level agreed. Would still be glad never to see him in a Rangers shirt again though.

Andrew Mathieson

I’d like to thank Gigi Becali for returning the love that the H&H loyal have given him over the years by sending out a weakened side to enable the Teds to get a much needed lift

Jim Milne

I'm in Canada and I rarely make it back because I hate flying. Most times I've went back to Scotland it's always an overnight flight arriving in Scotland 7am, but 2am my time. End up walking out hammered because I drink to much to get over the fear. Lol. Safe travels.

Beezty74

He definitely got away with one. Had the ref not blown the whistle I reckon var would've gave it.

Duncan Hegan

Amazing synth drone track in the background. Ominous, powerful energy

William Donaghy

The most frustrating part is we knew this would happen, they can do this in Europe and have done for years. In the league they simply don't get up for the games. And it's a shame because ibrox could be buzzing like that every other week . Great video as always mate

Fraser Black

Without a doubt sums us up over the last few years, totally different team in Europe. We just can’t replicate that type of energy & commitment in our league & it’s a problem that has faced several managers now. Barron & Raskin outstanding, also shout out to big Leon, without doubt our best CB it’s just such a shame his body can’t commit to the demands of playing every week.

Graeme Burns

Been sitting for months on the opinion that Diomande is not a £6M player and that’s rapidly crystallising after the start to the season he has had. Is there an underlying issue we don’t know about??!

Spoon

Set up is clearly most effective where there is space in behind and teams come to play. Fair play to the majority who showed the right desire and application tonight, bar Dessers who was poor the rest played well, some like Jefte and Barron were class, Igmane impressed more tonight and took his goal well probably doing enough to get a start next game. The niggle is why can’t we adapt tactically or mentally to what’s needed domestically. A good win in Europe that should get them praise for how they approached it and how they played, as we have seen with previous regimes however Europe ultimately doesn’t save you. Gerrard found a way to use the confidence and validation from Europe to boost our domestic form, think the challenge for Clement is to do the same. On its on an excellent win and even the subs were all positive making solid contributions only Dessers was poor. Most pleasing in subs was that they seemed positive, attacking options and we attacked to the end. Work to do but let’s hope it’s a platform.

Spoon

Just a personal view but I never really have any interest in loans for me it’s lazy transfer work and I never relate to players who aren’t ours. The guy I do like the look of and wish we had an option on is Nana, Cernys on field antics don’t do it for me but I will give him his due two excellent finishes tonight and both feet used along with a great work rate.

Craig

Big shout out to the fans last night. Truly amazing turnout and support last night under the circumstances and at £49 a ticket. We are the people !

ali t

Yep....we were good not great. A lot of sloppy passing early on and too much too me yo you at the back. That said good energy from Barron & Raskin in middle. Raskin is an asset when he stays out of safe mode with to much pointless or defensive passing. Igamane looked good at goal and getting early shot away for save but raw at other parts losing ball...still a WIP. Better and we need to build on it, still searching for best line up and consistency......need a wee run now and some more goals 🙏

Spoon

Agreed mate, still think even with the performance last night those tactics don’t necessarily translate to Scotland. Happy for the team to prove me wrong but doubts linger about our ability to sustain levels until they show us they can. A shame in some ways as on Its own tonight felt like a proper team performing well in Europe, at another time they get more credit. Exciting parts are still the younger guys like Jefte and Barron for me, credit to a Igmane who also looked direct and composed for his goal if a bit raw at the edges. Delighted to see Lovelace get game time too although out wide not his best position. Can’t begrudge the guys their night, right to give stick when deserved but equally a good performance shouldn’t be played down.

Heart and Hand

Aye, a very enjoyable night. Only the players can turn it into something more sustainable. If we get the slow, plodding, half-arsed Rangers this week then we’ll know.

Spoon

Wouldn’t have minded a similar option on Nana who in the brief spells we see him looks like he has the pedigree to excel here. Solid, no nonsense, tough in the tackle everything we need and fits right into to Scottish football.

David Watson

Tonight's team was ideal for home games against average opposition. Clement needs to learn that a different selection is required for SPL away 'battles'. Guys like Kasanwirjo and Sterling from the start, to lay down a marker; your Cerny and Lawrence's on later when opposition is flagging. Horses for courses I believe it's called!

Jim Milne

I hear you but our financial position dictates it. Less positives than negatives unfortunately. For every Sima there is a Ramsey, Silva & Diallo. I'd rather have invested in playing our youth than the 3 I named.

Billy Forrester

Doubt he will want to stay when he can’t get a game before the other shite in the team. Baffling he doesn’t start any games
