Jim Milne

Happy to hear the birthday boy has the night off. I admire your commitment in putting these out so late when you guys still have to travel home, etc. Cheers fellas.

John Smith

Igamane must be the starter now surely. If he doesn’t start on Sunday that’s pretty disrespectful for me. And I’m delighted for Phil. Needed this big time and you could see it meant a lot to him.

Jim Milne

He needed a chance based on Desser's form before tonight. That's been one of my biggest issues that some players seem to never be dropped. I'd even argue Desser's wouldn't be so bad if someone rotates with him.

James

Igamane is too raw to be a starter. We tried to sign diamonds in the rough but realised they just weren’t ready, just like the guy from Milan.

James

Dessers was upset when he went off, but I don’t think he was “in tears”

John Smith

I wonder if that was done out of panic Harry ? If he thought something was wrong

Angus Mackay

I kind of agree with that James. He took his chance well but he does meander quite a bit.

Harry Nolan

Possibly But his body language seemed more 'pissed off' than panicked He strolled off and signalled he wanted subbed and to me it spoke more of annoyance than panic I've hoped for 15 months that he would turn things around but it's really not looking hopeful

John Smith

Watching on TV James, it did look to me right before he went up the tunnel he had watery eyes. Again though it shows he wants to do well

Raskin and barron should be starting on sunday after that performance but clements wee statement after david mentioning how good they were saying dio has been just as good lately( when its nonsense really) has me thinking he will go back to dio on sunday coz he loves him and has a bit of a blind spot where he's concerned. Unless Lawrence is not fit then both will play probably.

Ecky G

Not long home and delighted with that performance. Fear no one Rangers and let them worry about us.

Jim Milne

You're right James Igamane is raw, but Dessers isn't doing enough to justify as starting spot IMO. It's a catch 22.

Glyn Davies

On the Dessers debate.....i dont hate him, does he frustrate me? YES, but he needs to be rotated now, Igamane needs to be thrown in & get on with it. Dessers had less touches in the first half vs FC SB than he did Killie.....that's wild & should if been subbed earlier, Igamane made an impact on & off the ball, he was winning headers (something Dessers doesn't do) & capped it off with a fine goal

Greg

Uncharacteristic? Have you been watching him since march?. Butland is absolutely bulletproof in the eyes of some. bizarre.

Andy mccrorie

Was a fair few away fans getting removed from the club deck when I got in , they weren’t causing trouble and was some kids with them , had some banter on the way up the stairs , hopefully they were moved round to away section and not just flung out , I’d like to think they still got to watch lol

Andrew Lyttle

Does the fact we got this reaction show clement hasn’t lost the dressing room?

Tolmie

The dessers haters should go and listen to Derek Mcinnes explaining his role after the game.

Craig Fryatt

If we play like that can we send Colin to hospitality every week? Great performance and Car Pod

Martin Boyd

Perhaps after he got a finger in the eye he couldn’t see out of it and when he bumped into their defender at Cerny goal he couldn’t see him. Huff is such a childish thing to say it was obvious he was upset by something.

Colin

Yes!! Il set up a Patreon to pay for it. Great idea Craig.

Craig Fryatt

A separate membership tier to bring the listeners the Cammy, Kev and Simon Car Pod

Blairo

😀Tournaments over now we play…😄Bayern Munich in the final 😁😕🙁

Tolmie

As I said listen to an experienced manager explain his role

Ranger1972

He is ready as he’s all we have got. Every other striker and every team in our league would do more in this team the Dessers. Vassell last Sunday proved that.

stevan castrissios

Really enjoyed watching Raskan starting with the bit between his teeth add in Barron and for me i think they helped Cerny to be MOTM.

Thomas scroggie

Happy birthday Colin 🕺🕺🍺🍺 Barron motm for me

Tolmie

Mcinnes was explaining that dessers role was to occupy 2 centre half’s by stretching the game which would then allow Cerny and Lawrence space to play in the whole and touched on how strikers don’t always have many touches because of the job they are being asked to do, look were Cerny scored his 1st from, it’s not always about what you do with the ball, was a good listen.

Steven L

At the time I thought it’s not a foul but second viewing jack foot is kicked, going by the letter of the law and previous fouls giving against us (Morelos vs BvB) it’s a foul. It’s harsh but meh.

8luenose1872

Only if they show that fight in the league. We always try in Europe, we beat betis 1 nil at ibrox under Beale mind but clearly were not giving him their all in the league round that time.

8luenose1872

My thoughts exactly when i heard that, hes becoming a bomb scare with the ball at his feet. One mistake caused all of this coz he was fine when he first came then he made a mistake and has been far too nervous ever since.

8luenose1872

Yea its ridiculous that a player can be as off form as him and be the 1st name on the team sheet.

8luenose1872

Igamane might be raw but he would be better than dessers the way hes playing atm. To play all the time when ur as out of form as him is ridiculous and not a good look to the guys on the bench.

Iain Mitchell

Leon King wasn’t on the bench last night (weirdly) .. he was in edmiston house with Hagi pre game doing the interview thing.

Scott Watson

Kev and Simon on the car pod. Best European group result for 20 years Science

Tolmie

It seems relentless the criticism, even when he’s good it continues or people choose not to praise him, guy needs a break.

Simon H&H

It appears you have missed the point I was making. There was no emotional breakdown. Did you realise he was injured? By he must have sh*t himself I meant in terms of the eye injury. Was he suffering from loss of vision? Was he panicking? In that situation I’d absolutely have sh*t myself with everything going through the mind. Hopefully that clears that up for you

Tolmie

Simon I heard what you said, my point is not about a breakdown but how he’s being treated and I know you are probably replying to the original poster

Simon H&H

Yeah I was. In terms of the treatment of Dessers, he’s not contributing to the team currently at all. Goals have dried up, and yeah the fans have it in for him rightly or wrongly. He isn’t the one being picked however, the manager is. He’s done well to an extent given his limitations. But going forward he’s not the answer

Tolmie

See when he was scoring goals the very same people who slaughtered sat in silence, the minute it goes wrong there right on his back, it’s crap. He’s treated differently.

Kev Armstrong

Who would these people be? I for one remember calling his game vs Ross county the most complete performance dessers has had at rangers.

Heart and Hand

I’m the only podder I can think of who speaks regularly about MH issues, and I wasn’t on this pod, so a bit unsure where the hypocrisy was. FWIW the manager also criticised him for walking off and Cyrile apologised.

Tolmie

I wish I could show you my text messages, see when he scores the equaliser in the qualifier away from home the amount of people who actually couldn’t even message to say well done but absolutely pound him for the most basic things, ice even heard it said when he scored a goal aye he didn’t mean it, it was a fluke.

Tolmie

See the whole touched the ball thing, that’s another nonsense, Dortmund away kyogo didn’t touch the ball in 60 mins, not once. I’ve watched many world class strikers touch the ball 5-6 times in a half and nothing mentioned, it’s a nonsense.

Colin Gardner

Superb performance last night. I walked out thinking we could have had 4 or 5 MOTM's. Raskin and Barron were very good and played with the intensity that I want to see every week now. Out of jail with the goal right enough but after the corrupt decision against Kyiv then a bit of justice!

Tolmie

Yip they sure did, nobody mentioned how many times a striker touched a ball

Colin Gardner

My point with Igamane is he is rough round the edges and will have game where he will be poor simply because of age and with that comes inconsistency. However I can make piece with that as Dessers is pish constantly and we are effectively starting with 10 men every game. Throw the lad the shirt for 2 or 3 months and get him experience. I've seen enough of him that he is mobile, has a good touch and won't be bullied like that big Jessie!

Colin Mathie

Dessers went off cause he got poked in the eye and literally couldn't see.

Tolmie

See if rangers got beat 7-1 and dessers didn’t touch the ball once in 60-70 do you think it would be mentioned.

Tolmie

Exactly but we are loosing and winning games and talking about how many times a player touched the ball and we all know the answer to my question, it would be highlighted

Glyn Davies

Exactly, Igamane did more in 20 mins last night than Dessers has done in 70 mins prior......he was winning headers, trying to win 2nd balls & capped it off with a lovely goal.....Dessers for me is either on it or completely off it & for past few weeks he has been way off it, Dessers strikes me as a player that just doesn't have the mentality or consistency to be in a team of our calibre where we need to battle week in week out.....by all means only time will tell if Igamane & Danilo will be much better but it is time to give Igamane a run in the team & start blending Danilo back in......still would take Shanks in January on the cheap

Tamus

Ian Fergie is the correct answer

Paul Coulter

Big happy birthday colin. Hope u had a good one mate
