Simon is joined by Zander as the guys discuss the league cup semi-final victory over Motherwell to set up an Old Firm final in December.

The lads also look ahead to this weeks Europa League tie in Athens against Olympiakos as well as discussing the decisions the manager will have to make on underperforming players.

For the Olympiacos game.....I'd like to see them go with Sterling & Kasinwirjo at RB/LB & move Jefte up one to LM so Bajrami can play through the middle.....I'd love to see Lawrence, Tav & Dessers remain benched & used as impact subs going forward but I very much doubt PC will do that

Same failed players like Tav, Dessers and Lawrence all started to the anger of the fans and YOU say the manager didn't have much choice? Get real! Of course he did but he's stubborn and that'll eventually get him the sack. Yesterday fans had had enough of Tav and his incompetence and aimless "crosses" BOOING him after one in the 2nd half. Dessers missed 2 sitters in the 1st half before scoring a goal even I could have scored. Made of glass Lawrence was a waste of space till thankfully he went off. How our manager could watch Dessers and Tav for 70 minutes playing line that is shocking. Most fans want them dropped asap but we know the manager won't so be prepared for failure, especially in the final. I'm terrified already at the thought of Maeda v Tav but unfortunately the manager won't see a problem there.

Olympiacos are a top quality team. Unless he takes a page out of Walter’s playbook this could potentially be another embarrassment.

Impact subs? Aye, negative impact! Fed up listening to apologists for these 3. Just bite the bullet, guys, and BIN them or forget real progress. Their obvious replacements not even being given a chance apart from a few minutes here and there.

Hi Bob, I'm all for them not playing again.......sick of arguing with Tav fan boys......he's done & should of been gone 2 years ago! I've had people argue that last season was Tavs best season for goals etc 🙈....we won fuxk all & didn't beat Celtic in 5 attempts last season so how anyone can sit there & defend Tav at this stage of his career baffles me! I suppose i was being generous with the "impact" subs point 🤣 but they are still with the club they will have to be used at times......sadly I still think PC will have Tav starting most games & it will only end badly.....I've said till I'm blue in the face that I could accept a transitional season to allow q rebuild but the rebuild had to start with Tav going, sadly he has stayed & will go nowhere until he has had his testimonial

James McSween

Tav needs to go in January as he can’t have a testimonial as it’ll be a disaster if we win nothing this season.

Hi Bob, I would recommend listening to the full pod before making a comment like this. Thanks for listening!

A game of team two halves awful in the 1st half. For me the game changed when Dessers and Tav came off, Sterling and Danilo made a difference it gave us space with Sterling's running and Danilo's movement and accupying the CBs and allowed Cerny, Diomande and Bajrami space. Clement has also to find a solution and another style when we have to rely on Dessers and Lawrence as our no9 and no10 for me when the window comes in January they have to be both moved on. A number 6, a dominant CB, a striker and a winger or forward that can play across the front 3 with pace and movement. Who ever the manager is in January. We have games against Spurs and that lot in the space of 3 days another loss to them its curtains for Clement that two games I am dreading because I know now how it will go.

Im not sure the reason for Dessers being so bad is the amount of minutes he has played.

Motherwell clearly identified that ball as the key. I watched them for 15 mins during their warm up just repeatedly play crosses from the edge of the box from their left, to the edge of the 6 yard box, with the forward attacking the gap between where our LCB and LB would be.

Thanks guys tuff night in Greece ahead 😬

Good pod although don’t agree with early on that the team picked is kind of what we have. We have personnel and shape options that Clement is not utilising. Kasanwirjo needs a run either at RB or in three. Dujon could play RB. Any one of the two instead of Tav. Dessers maybe is a bit more fortunate but would starting Igamane for 3-4 games be so bad? He’s not getting a chance with the way Clement is using him, and considering how bad Dessers is right now. Hopefully Danilo can alter his thinking. Onwards and keep being average is Clement’s way for now. The hope is Cerny or Bajrami do something. No patterns or team movement.

The last moments of his time with us should not tarnish the fantastic service he has given to our club notwithstanding the number of goals, assists and some of the dross he has had to play alongside during these (almost) 10 years. He absolutely deserves a testimonial and fans need to get over themselves, fully support him and show him our appreciation!
