Keith Murray

Would you take Miller for the reported fee £4m Davie? I’m not 100 % set on him.

James

£6? Wow! Try living in London! 😉

Glen Kane

£6.75 for a pint of Peroni the other week in the bustling metropolis that is Falkirk.

Pedro

£6 is mental for a pint - On the "bag-of-sweets" injury, it was in 99 just before the Mols injury in Munich. Wikipedia says they played Lyon so prob them

Pedro

Scouts pledge allegiance to the monarch and salute the flag every week btw #justsaying

James McSween

Why are these players away on holidays ? This stinks of loser mentality especially when we are struggling in the league. Sterling and Danilo away on holiday after 11 league games and both can’t stay match fit.

Fraser86

Great to hear about Lennon and his development, Finlay Curtis. Bailey Rice need games/loans get them playing

KennyY

Summer was the time to bring these young talents in and get rid of more of the dross like Hagi, Dowell etc

Keith Kettlewell

He would instantly be the best player in our squad. Absolute no brainer. Really hope I’m wrong here but I can’t see any chance of us getting him in our current shit state

John Davidson

We won't be spending £4m on any one player this winter. I doubt we will bring in anyone for a fee until next summer.

Jim Milne

I'd push the boat out for Lennon Miller in January ONLY if we can afford to bring in another striker, even on loan. I'd say we have the upper hand over them for Lennon. Not sure he walks into their team, but he plays for us. Conor Barron will give young Scottish player hope that they'll play if good enough. I'm unsure if he heads south immediately either. After playing 1st team at his age I bet he wants first team football with lower wages with the opportunity to play in Europe and then get his move to EPL or abroad.

Jim Milne

I agree mate, but it's hard to move some players. If they're still here after next summer I'd be severely upset.

Jim Milne

Can't imagine the mental toll on Danilo in the last 12 months. I'm fine with some players recharging mentally for a short time, and I get better rest in the sun.

Keith Murray

Maybe I just need to watch more of him - I’ve seen him maybe a handful of times. If everyone’s that confident he will be good for us then I’m all in for some Scottish talent.

Jim Milne

Yep, then cuffed them 4-2 at Ibrox the following weekend. I could never fathom how Mols never got a bigger move before us. That stop and turn he did before that night was immense.

James McSween

He’s been away loads recharging his batteries over his last 2 injuries. We are coming to the business end of the season and they should be working to get match fit and also stronger.

JimGLW

Have to say I love Cerny's attitude

Graham McCallum

Great tune as usual Dave, was it Richard Hell and the Voidoids or have I made that up? I have a very vague recollection

David Clapperton

The Boys Brigade are not afraid to dip their nose in marmalade. 🫡

Neil Wilson

Drinking is not cheap. No wonder people are drinking at home. Edinburgh is the second most expensive place to drink in the UK, so prices have shifted from £4-6 a pint to £5.50-7.50 in the last couple of years.

Kenny Davidson

Great tune yesterday and another today. Will tomorrow’s top them both.

John Hood

Our Scout Group was an unofficial Rangers Supporters Club. Union Jack that was saluted every Scout meeting travelled to Ibrox and was displayed in the old Derry at games 🇬🇧

Al-WATP

Re Lennon Miller, 1) we can’t afford the fee and 2) we’re all assuming he’d want to come to us, given where we’re at I’m not convinced

Heart and Hand

His backing band were the voidoods but he didn’t credit them on this as, according to reports, he’s a right c*** 😀

Heart and Hand

They’re human. They’re as entitled to breaks as much as any employee. As fans we have a right to criticise performance, not what they do in their private lives with friends and families. We don’t own them.

Graham McCallum

Thanks mate for that wee snippet of info. I’m glad I didn’t make that up. It obviously stuck somewhere as it’s such a weird sci fi name. He probably is a c###

James McSween

Definitely a lack of leadership and professionalism at the club. Players sauntering off on mid season holidays when they can’t complete 90mins in a game so far this season. They should be bursting a gut to get fitter and contribute to the team. It’ll be interesting to see who’s stayed at home and who’s away on a jolly.

Bixby Snyder

If we have £4m it would be club malpractice not to try and go hard to get Miller. The recruitment has been awful for 3 years. There’s no risk.

East Enclosure

Bryan Adams can remember pints being less than 7 quid, back in the summer of £6.99

Hendi

Cerny's attitude is better received by the fans, whereas Dessers attitude to missed chances isn't. However, from a sports psychology point of view Dessers' approach is probably more effective - nothing can be done about missed chances. No point ruminating on them. Like golf, the only chance that matters is the next one and thinking about the missed one doesn't make taking the next one more likely, probably the opposite. The argument against will be that Cerny is doing better on the park than Dessers, but that's attributable to ability not mindset. No Psychologers episodes planned?

Heart and Hand

Quite bitter apparently as he doesn’t feel he gets enough credit for his role in the creation of punk.

Spoon

We need to readjust our expectations on the cost of players, we are out of touch on player value and far too quick to slate local talent as too expensive when clubs quite rightly just ask the goading rate for quality.

Bixby Snyder

Your mind will choose a story so you might as well go for the one that helps you the most.

Jamiedfa

I know why Hagi does not get a game, the manager doesn’t rate him unfortunately, says more about him than Hagi imo

James Murdoch

4 million is a massive outlay for us on a young lad from Motherwell. I'm not saying he's not a talent and I'd like him. But let's be honest. If someone was to offer 4 million for Barron in January he'd be off. He's got European experience and getting called up for Scotland now. Is he worth that yet?

Graham Jones

The Lennon Miller one is an interesting one because he was available in the summer for supposedly £2m, but if we had shown interest that summer would’ve doubled immediately anyway. I also think there was a thought that because we’d brought in Barron for midfield that we needed more experience to counterweight that, hence why we looked for experience in midfield and clearly they couldn’t identify the correct target after a couple of failed bids. I guess before we bid for Miller we’d need to do some fact finding on the boy to see if he would be open to a move to Rangers, and whether he has a preference between us or them. We can’t go into that situation and come out with egg on our face, and I don’t see this board going for that move anyway. They always look for opportunistic ones like Barron and Souter where there will be a minimal fee handed over. But he is worth the fee that Motherwell are quoting, and he’s a good player who I’d like to see at the club. I just don’t know if this board are capable of putting that sort of deal together, at the moment. in the days we had Walter as manager he would take care of that side of it, and make the moves to see that the boy wanted to come first, and then he’d tell the board that they had to sign him or risk losing out to that other lot. Clement has been dictated to regarding transfers since he arrived, because he only has an opinion when ti comes to this board. They green light signings, not him.

Spoon

Think in general David we auto undervalue and under rate local talent. Reset of what £5m or so gets you now required in our mentality, there is value in the bottom end of the market at times and while a fee doesnt necessarily indicate how a player will do for you, it’s a good indicator. The baseline for our transfer market used to have decent guys at the £2-£3m mark, now very ordinary players go for that (we have a few in our squad) and to get the type of guy we need you have to be very lucky to get on a free or your taking a guy with issues more often than not.

Heart and Hand

We do, absolutely. 5m buys in a world where top talent costs 60m plus…well, it’s obvious what you’re likely to get.

Martin Sutherland

Us accepting £4m would sum us up perfectly. Completely out of touch of the market. Luke McCowan has been at them for 5 minutes. Do you think they accept £4m in Jan for him?
