Everton 🤝 Basket case 🤝 Rangers

William Noble

Excellent memories for Fraserborough.

Jim Milne

With Souttar in the form of his life and just turning 28, he has a contract expiring May 2026. So do we look to extend his contract by 1 or 2 years right now? Or do we let it run out naturally? I'm honestly torn, I feel he could be captain next year but also feel he could turn slow ala Goldson.

Rose Mcloughlin

This pod covered most of my comment on the prev daily update...we need a skeleton of home grown players who know the Draconic Scottish league..then add in the foreign stars...a wee mix is best.

William Noble

Well done to the charity foundation

If we’re going to maximise selling value I think he needs to go next summer. But I’d keep him around, give him an extra 2 years on his deal and the armband and then see where we are in 2027.

Eddie McDonald

Me and my late Dads two teams drawn again in the cup, he spent the last one sat next to Dave King and unfortunately wont see the return leg but i know he’ll be watching💙

John Buchan

Wee mistake David Fraserburgh is in the Highland league not the Lowland league

James McSween

If Clement is still in charge you just know we will struggle to beat Fraserburgh with our 1st choice 11 playing

Possibly 1 year extension but Souttar is no where near Rangers captain material. 3rd choice CB at best.

Really glad you have that memory Eddie. Enjoy the match when it comes. 👍

D’oh 🤦 of course! I really should have remembered that. Would be some bus bill for a season otherwise!!

Ryan Stewart

Reading through the managers press conference at work there. And he’s speaking about new players needing time to build connections. How has someone at the club not taken him aside and told him to stop this? It’s December, it’s getting ridiculous

Andy sawers

Talks of the B team, some of them might be trying to put themselves in the shop window. Lovelace the only one to get minutes this year and not even getting a sniff at the bench. The whole B team play every now and again thing needs ripped up and consistent games are needed for these boys rather than looking at players like Watson and Miller wonder why we don't have players coming through.

Mark Sheen

I seen on the news that the c*ltic first team visited the children’s hospital to see the kids. Are their plans for our first team to also go? I know the academy have just decorated the ward & I know it’s the least of our issues but as someone whose family has benefited when the first team visited the children’s hospital it’s always a nice to see thing

Gordon Mac

Thought it was Colin there for a minute

Colin Mathie

So we now have another disaster to deal with regarding getting a chairman in, we are a s**t show.

Jim McCutcheon

Thanks again David appreciate your views and enjoy h&h across all the pods 👏

Zander West

Great draw for the Broch👍

Granters

Walter was a master at identifying seemingly unspectacular but steady Scottish players who could come to Rangers and do a specific job well. Who else could have put Kirk Broadfoot into a European Final? It’s something we need to try to recapture. We’ve been too focused on foreign players who might be good technically, but seem to lack the physicality and the robustness for the SPL. Need to start paying more attention to what’s under our noses.

Agreed but that would take a shift in our collective mentality about the rest of our league. We now see our club as above signing players from below us in the league but the fact is we've signed expensive foreign players who have dragged us down to that level anyway. If they're good enough to play in Serie A, we should be getting them first.

Brian McLatchie

Get the Patterson gossip is bullshit, if that wasn't the case and he was available for loan in Jan, note his injury record is significant since he left us,

Bruce Burns

Always a treat to hear The Smiths Felt l sorry for the young guys last night. Sounds like a moment of madness wrecked their opportunity
