Another good win David 👏 big week ahead

With more organisation off the field, this is how we should have started the season. Probably we’d be sat in a more threatening second, but ready to put pressure on that mob. Hopefully, we’re ready to give a respectable showing in the League Cup Final.

Scott Corral

How confident are you David that big souttar extends, he’s definitely played himself into a valuable member of the team.

Was good to end the week with the 3 points and a few goals, then you hear Clement post match 😭guy cannot help himself at times.

Excellent summary David. Thursday is a free hit for me. I'm more interested in Clements approach in who gets rested before the scum game. I've enjoyed watching us for consecutive games in a row and absolutely rarity this season. Now actually thinking we can do the scum after watching Hibs give up at least 3 sitters yesterday. Great to see us putting in some decent performances long may it continue

If you had told me the day of the Nice game we'd score 14 goals and concede 1 in our next 4 games. As well as play football that's better on the eye I'd have bitten your hands off. C'mon Rangers, make this form count for something by this time next week

This is a solid win. Hopefully, it is the beginning of something. There is still a way to go.

Ross County = Farmer’s boys FC … my god they were ‘agricultural’

The way that Lge wins away from home should be. Keep it going lads. Big week ahead and next Sunday is Massive!

Amazing the difference it makes having a couple of players up top who can hold the ball up and link play. Cerny's big chance in the first half came from a great touch with his back to goal and a sweeping pass from Danilo - with Dessers in that position we'd have ended up defending after the ball bounced off him.

Agree to an extent Alan but it’s his choices on the field that put us where we are. As many have said this squad was capable of far better than he was getting from it. Very much welcome the shift to attack focused football and commitment to players getting forward but there was no real excuse not to have done this from the start. If he had tried this shape and set up but fallen short due to injuries and lack of options the majority of us could have given him credit, particularly if we had seen gaps filled with youth players but why wait this long ? That wasn’t down to no CEO or being at Hampden, it wasn’t down to not having two strikers or a number 10 as we had Hagi sitting and Bajrami ready to go in there but pushed out wide. More than happy to give credit for what I saw today and last few games but slightly bamboozled why it’s taken this long or the shift from defensive long ball to overloading, direct wing play had come in. Midweek the result is less important than the way we perform and our attitude. This time next week decides where we are and where the manager is in terms of a future, for me at least. This is perhaps the best of the recent wins, away, Sunday at 1200, physical team and while it wasn’t perfect the 3 goals rather than a scraped 1-0 makes it a statement rather than just points. Shout out to Tav who seems somehow to have been released and is allowed to get forward properly again, where has that been all season, again doesn’t look like anything other than freedom he’s been given in a tweaked shape, why only now ?

Another great result . Hopefully the PC detractors will give him a bit of backing. He couldnt play 2 strikers because we only had Dessers available .. so no wonder we were not scoring goals .

Billy Forrester

Real signs of progress again and we are looking good, I’m not so worried about next Sunday now, we can give them a real game. Maybe just maybe Clement will win us over again, I certainly hope so as nobody wants to see him fail Onwards and upwards

Graham Roy

It’s probably as close to a free hit as you can get the majority expect us to lose so it’s upto the players and manager to use that as motivation!

Graham Roy

I do wonder if it was partly down to lack of options up front. We had Dessers and that was all. Now having Danilo and Igamane fit it is showing something different. But then again I might be rewriting history to try and come up with a reason why we didn’t play this way! 😂

Spoon

Igmane hasn’t ’been ready’ but was here from summer, chose not to use him. Even if we say there wasn’t an out and out 9 we had other guys who could have played as a two Bajarami, Cerny, McAusland surely even some of the younger guys at times. We could have even read the room and brought an actually oven ready striker in at summer instead of projects. Having two up doesn’t always need a pure striker I think there just wasn’t a commitment to this more attacking style we have seen lately. The excuse might work for some but if every guy we sign can’t play for the first 6. months we have him then buy different guys. Between guys who sit injured for half their contracts and now ‘slow starters’ our investment over three or four years ends up as 18 months of actual football. Only my view obviously.

Graham Roy

I get that but you can see how rough a diamond he is so suspect he needed longer than others. The closest youngster to what we need was Lovelace who was also injured. I also think Dessers slows us down when he comes on due to his lack of movement. But who knows could be several parts that are unconnected🤷🏻‍♂️

Nikki Philp

Igamane has been available for a lot of this season but not played. Clement chose to stand by Dessers in January and again in the summer when everyone else knew he wasn’t good enough to be our main striker.

G Calder

If he thew Igmane in too early & it never worked our fans would have tore the boy to bits ! We would have ruined him !!

G Calder

PC done the right thing by breaking in Igmane .. I can just imagine the screams of ‘get that wee cnut back tae Morocco’ 😂

John Palmer

💯% agree about Tav. Since he was dropped he has looked more like the Tav we all know when he does play. Casing points are his movement up amd down the park and his delivery of balls into the box or just passing the ball is noticeably better. The other point was his Vintage goal that he scored v Kilmarnock mid-week where he Ghosted in at the back post "it had Season 21/22" connotations all over it. Let's hope we can put in a great showing v Spurs on Thursday and that lot on Sunday.

Spoon

Disagree but take your points. Igmane only gets better getting played and if he had been up and left then he would have got some slack as folk would have just focused on Dessers anyway. Simply don’t agree Dessers slows us down, his best play is playing one touch passing and not holding people off and backing in. I know some people have him written off as a total dud however it’s not at simple for me, yes he has been less than useful in the single striker set up with nobody getting forward but Igmane and Danilo had shots doing that and weren’t much better. Dessers could have been supported and used far better, he still would be a limited, streaky striker but he has been left up alone for far too much of the season when we could have put others around him and changed the emphasis to attack. Ultimately the current form is down to more than one thing for me, players coming in with a bit of a different skill set and people, focus on more attacking football but also simply changing the shape and playing a proper 10. We could have had Bajrami in 10 long before now though and Clement forced him out wide. Dessers isn’t the answer, he has limitations but your arguing we shouldn’t have done with Igmane what we did then do to Dessers….set him up to fail or at least stack the odds against him. Lammers in a two might well have worked for all we know, he is also branded a dud when he simply wasn’t given his optimal chance to shine. Clement chose to go with the squad he did, he should have signed a back up striker or even better a Shankland and I suspect our season starts very differently. Even now what happens if Danilo breaks down, or Igmane drops form ? We can’t let our system be reliant on one or two players or it’s bust.
