Cantwell happy to settle for mediocrity rather than try to flourish against the diddies. He’s found his level. Good riddance

Derek Robertson

If anyone thinks that Spurs are anything but massive favourites for the game on Thursday are delusional . If we were to beat them it would be one of our best results in Europe . It would be 10 times bigger than when we bears Leeds in 92.

Hello David, hope you’re well and also having a good day. Are you able to advise on the parameters being used to facilitate Andy McGowan’s singing commitment if we ‘take anything from the game against spurs’. I only ask as I usually zip at lightening speed along the M9 after a game but happy to delay if it’s an on the night thing. If more songs are required, I believe ‘you’re getting sacked in the morning’ is also a loved choon. Many thanks 🐇 🐇🐇 ☺️

Has Cantwell not contradicted himself in this interview? He said not long after he left that he would never ask to leave rangers. I think PC and Rangers are better off without characters like that in the dressing room. Still don’t think we have improved on his position since his departure. However contrast Hagi’s attitude in a tough situation, it was more befitting of a Ranger and place in the team.

Cantwell confirming what many of us thought. Talented but weak minded for us. Was best he went.

Graham Roy

Let’s see what is is saying in 12 months no doubt looking for a move blaming the manager!

David Campbell

I hope the kids had a wonderful day yesterday. Puts everything into focus especially at this time of year.

Gary Q

They’re playing at Bellahouston Park next year, along with The Stranglers and various other ‘back in the day’ bands 👍

David Innes

The gap in resources is certainly much bigger than it was between us and Leeds back then but given they were the champions of England I don’t think it’s the right comparison. It would be on a par with Dortmund away for me. I agree they are massive favourites but interesting that the bookies don’t (they’re odds against with most firms right now)

Derek Robertson

Our budget was bigger than Leeds in 92. Spurs budget is superior to Dortmund (and our budget/wages has been greatly reduced since then)

Craig

Cantwell must have a drawer full of those Balotelli 'why always me?' vests.

Colin Mathie

You're right, but by god it sure would be sweet if we contributed to Angie getting his p45.

Jordan McKay

If Cantwell’s mentality matched his talent then he could have been world class. He will have a lot of “what ifs” when he looks back on his career.

David Clapperton

Glaikit is a criminally underused and underrated word. 👏🏻

Derek Robertson

100% mate, beating Spurs on Thursday and them on Sunday would be right up there with the best weeks we have ever had

Andy mccrorie

Cantwell = Josh Windass mk2 ,plenty talent ,plenty ego , not enough mentality

Steve Clark

Tune bought that as a single when it came out

Stephen

The only thing that might be in our favour is if Tottenham don’t take it too seriously. Interested to see if getting beat by us would get Postecoglu the sack or is the outcome of their next EPL game more of a deciding factor and maybe they might rest players with that in mind

Stephen

Cantwell is the type of footballer who likes being famous and signing autographs. Not really too interested in winning football games though. Seems like a nice guy but glad he has gone.

Doogz

Remember him doing a podcast with 2 guys down South months after joining us and he sounded like he was going to burst into tears saying Sutton was being critical of everything he was doing yet was very supportive when he was at Norwich. I knew then his mentality would never see him succeed with us.

Greg

Nothing wrong with any of cantwells comments, things aren't working out and your not happy you move on, he could have sat "injured" for months on end like some others.

Andrew Carter

Went to see Skids and Spear of Destiny on Sunday in Aberdeen , great stuff 👍👍

Stewart Robertson

Gary Stevens, Ian Ferguson and Stuart Munro !! Can you imagine how many medals they have between them ? 🥇🏅🎖️🥇🏅🎖️🥇🏅🥇🏅🎖️

Charles McIntyre

Good choice of music again today. Jobson is still a dick though by name and nature.

Hendi

It always seemed obvious that the attitudes of Cantwell and Morelos stunk. Baffling that so many of our support continually bent over backwards to defend them and deny it.

Jamie Gilchrist

Im fine with the Cantwell situation, whilst being frustrated by the value received for him. He didnt want to be here, and left. Faaar to many have hung around coz the dosh is better here!

Samantha Paterson

Nailed it on Cantwell David...couldn't agree more

David Innes

Sunday is by far the bigger game for him, lose that and he’s toast I reckon

David Gardner

I agree with about 80% of your analysis on Cantwell - I don’t think the manager man-managed him well. The manager played him out of position for a while and I felt made issues with him public rather than being managed behind closed doors.

Brian Auld

Cantwell said it was important to put your ego at the door at Rangers but clearly he just couldn’t back the words up. Clement wants team players, he isn’t one of them. A waste of good talent due to a bad attitude.

paul wallace

Only just noticed that my godson Mason is in the picture of the podcast 🤣
