What a photo that is 🤩 Was that just for me David 😆

Iain watson

What about the big centre half at St Johnstone?

KennyY

As a wee boy I had a St Etienne top which was lined inside with a fuzzy white felt type material and had red, white and blue around the collar and cuffs from what I remember.

Craig

Real pisser about Souttar. With Tav back in form, I'd be looking at giving Sterling a run at centre half. If we try to play Balogun every game we'll be down to Propper as the last man standing in no time.

james whyte

Dessers being at so many Clubs is because he plays like he does. Scores a decent amount. Misses more.

Martin Boyd

No surprise about Igamane turning heads down here those were good displays against Nice and Spurs. A decent fee next summer with a hefty sell on % would be good , especially to clubs like a Brighton or Brentford , stepping stone clubs. As for Dessers hope for his sake he does move on it just hasn’t worked out the way any of us or him would have liked.

Jim Milne

Sterling has hardly shown he can play more than Balogun. Let's hope Sterling can fill the gap, rotate Propper and Balogun and get to January.

Jim Milne

I'll be really sad if Igamane leaves this early. Even for £10m which Brighton's and Brentford's can easily afford. We should've sold Morelos to Lyon, but this is to early to sell Igamane. If the boy can keep growing like this he would be in the running for Morocco for the World Cup 2026.

Craig Hart

A direct Scottish replacement for Dessers? Just wondered what the temperature was on him now from the general consensus.

Craig

Yeah you're right there, might need to rotate Balogun and Sterling just to keep them both fit. Maybe he'd get less injuries if he wasn't running up and down the line.

Andrew Hadden

According to Gordon Duncan on Radio Clyde phone in (I endured 2 hours of it last night!), the rule is that VAR looks at the penalty incident and decides if it is inside or outside the box. Since it’s a factual decision (same as offsides) VAR makes the final decision rather than asking the referee to take another look. So there is no circumstance where the ref would have been asked to take a look at this to determine if it was inside or outside. Ref would only take a look at subjective decisions such as whether something was a foul or sending off etc. Same outcome (VAR effed up) but worth noting what the process is, assuming Clyde weren’t talking BS.

Jim Milne

I'm not sure Shankland would want to sit on the bench at his age. This'll likely be his last contract. 5 weeks ago I'd have agreed but didn't expect this impact from Igamane and Danilo.

Billy McCormack

Still raging how we were fucking robbed!

Jim Milne

Maybe we should send them the video of Dessers beating two Spurs defenders then use AI to merge the video of his finish at Betis last year. Surely Colin can help with this.....maybe even add some AI music to seal the deal. Ha

Martin Boyd

Unfortunately it may be a wake up call to some fans about our place in modern footballs pecking order. It sticks in my craw to see where we are. Too old to worry much about it although I do react badly when Bournemouth and clubs like them get brought up in conversation with mates, bloody Gods waiting room club paying tens of millions for player ☹️

Martin Boyd

We need someone who can contribute goals so no Shankland please. The boy at Leeds would be a much better fit , plays all across the front . Shankland has about 4 goals despite playing virtually every minute for Hearts.

Tamus

VAR didn't Eff up Frank Connor cheated for his beloved hoops

Neil Irwin

I take it N’Siala still not looking anywhere near ready if we will be in the market for another CB

Scott Tolmie

If igamane keeps scoring he won't be here next season

Graham Roy

Suspect they are looking for any excuse than we fucked up! The fact every qualified ref has said it was a penalty kinda makes the real point! Even token Tim Des Roach said it should have been looked at!

Graham Roy

I’m more angry about the penalty than I was yesterday! Glad the new CEO has asked the question but we need to see this through!

Scott Thomson

Dessers is a really pleasant guy, gives his all but he’s not good enough unfortunately, it’s really that simple.

Stephen

It’s never too early if the price is right. Wouldn’t be selling him on the cheap especially with the African nations coming up next season but if someone was to come in with £15 million (for example) we have to be sensible for once.

Jim Milne

You're not wrong mate..if it gets to £15m up for a guy in the door 4 months I'd sell him too. I'll still be absolutely gutted. We have a ceiling for what we can sell and Bassey was a one off it seems. We need Igamane to go for £15+ then use him as an example to other buying clubs that we develop and sell real talant. I just want to enjoy him as long as we can. Also let the kids have a hero for a wee while. They haven't had a hero since Alfie stopped being professional.

Jim Milne

He seems to suffer from bouts of mental illness judging by his interviews. It's important he leaves for both parties but we all, myself included sometimes need to remember there is a human under that jersey. It's a shame, I don't want to see any player we have fail and get abuse.

Graeme McLeod

This season is a write-off. If we we're offered £10 million with potential add-ons we should absolutely take it.

David Baillie

It feels like the referee is brow “Beaton” and afraid to be seen to give favourable decisions to Rangers. Officials of a Sellic minded persuasion (on field and off) go the other way and don’t give a monkeys whether they are seen to be biased or not. They know there will be no accountability or repercussions. Time for our club to go on the offensive?

Stace1ofthePeople

What's really brewing for me the last couple days is Tavs lack of ability to stand up for our players, to demand free kicks and penalties and pretty much say or do anything to the ref that helps influence the game. Until we have a captain that isn't a total shitbag we'll constantly lose decisions like we did at the weekend. And let me say, I love tav. But he's not a strong captain. He should have been demanding a penalty, demanding a foul on dio leading up to their goal and also asking why their GK was in the box. Its part of his job as captain which he fails time and time again to do. It's not good enough.

Bryan Watson

Thought we needed a CB signed, ready for Jan 2nd before Souttar injury and that has been reinforced with Souttar being unavailable. On Dessers, he isn't good enough to be the main man and we paid too much in transfer fee / wages for him to be a 3rd choice striker. If we can get our money back to reinvest in a younger, better player then we absolutely have to. Wish him all the best, gave his all but don't think he has the ability or mentality for us.

Ryan Jardine

When are we expecting to hear from the new CEO and Chairman? Would be good to hear what’s been going on and what they are going to do moving forward.

Jordan

Every player is a project player. Dessers and Lammers were "ready" made players and they were guff. Sadly finished articles can't be afforded

John Davidson

We have to learn from the past with Igamane. 8 figure bid in the winter and we should cash in. We are not in a position to tun down a quick profit and, knowing us, a serious injury is just around the corner. Ideally, he stays a couple of seasons and we sell him for £30m. But things tend not to play out like that.

Spoon

Absolutely, Scottish, understands the league, no settling in time and in a better team back in a 9 or 10 role it’s a no brainer. We won’t do the percentage deal though it will be an exotic import and a twist.

Ryan Stewart

Just on the penalty incident, Bobby Madden mentioned on his Instagram that VAR wouldn’t have instructed Beaton to look at the screen as it’s not a subjective decision. Free kick was given so therefore VAR should have been telling the ref that the holding was inside the box and to award a penalty, no need for the monitor in instances like this

Douglas Innes

I had a yellow/red RC Lens top with a huge velvet 1 Radio sponsor on front before sponsors was a thing in the UK

Simon Botterill

It's basic strategy. I love Tav too, we all do but being a captain in Scotland and then Rangers in Scotland requires a set of skills he does not have. Being at RB captain is also a massive disadvantage.

David Campbell

Dessers needs moved on he doesn't have the minerals to play for us that was proven at the weekend when butland hits a pen before him highly embarrassing imo

Barry Drysdale

If we get anywhere near £3.5 million for Dessers then I’ll be amazed but here’s hoping 🤞🏻

stephen

The VAR team are now looking for an out. There is nothing to interpret from a "factual" decision, any excuse along these lines is completely disingenuous. The VAR team chose not to give the penalty the only question left now is why? I don't expect that to be answered or even challenged.

David Speedie

Sterling at centre half is exactly where he should be playing for me. Hopefully he grabs his chance there

Andrew Mathieson

If the money is right £10m+ plus a sell on % we simply cannot afford to turn it down. Both in terms of the money offered and the risk accrued. If Morelos and Kent teach us anything it should be this.

Jim McCutcheon

Blow for john Souttar and the team, another loan on the cards 💁‍♂️, we are improving but obviously injuries don't help 😐, we lack strength and depth sadly, hope we can keep this upturn going 👍, thanks David

Linda Mackay

A truly sorry state of affairs for Scottish football that a club has this much influence over decisions being made in their favour that results in points and trophies. Absolutely galling.

Spoon

Think there’s a huge difference around being objective and fair to Dessers versus the bile some throw at him. Good enough, no. The right fit for the team, no. Prolific enough to hang your hat on, no. All absolutely fair comment. Not someone’s style or type of player, totally subjective and each to their own. Where I will always stick up for the guy is he has been available, tried to the best of his ability and until we turned the corner a few games ago he was being asked to play in a way that did not suit his style and too often left up alone. Add in that some suggested people around him stopped trying to even work with him and that’s a hard place for any man to be. Some of the insults thrown at him have been unfair and motivated purely from a bizarre desire to see everything he did as almost a personal affront, the idea he is useless just isn’t true. Many went too far too quick on him in my own opinion. Hopefully the boy moves on and gets a decent fee, I don’t particularly rate him for our league but I bear him absolutely no ill will or feel the need to attack him personally as others seem to want to. Ironically many of those calling for more respect for Clement are happy to absolutely lay into Dessers with glee. It hasn’t worked, he has scored goals, we didn’t get the best out of him. He isn’t the first, won’t be the last and hopefully he goes elsewhere and is appreciated. The Rangers pod landscape will need to find 50% more content if he does leave, or I suppose it might be time for Tav to regain his crown !

Neil 55

I'll drive Dessers to the Airport as long he pays the drop off charge. 😂

Brian Campbell

Patrick Stewart’s response to Collin’s findings - will show us the kind of CEO we have hired!

Colin Gardner

Agree. Although we should be asking for a replay as a matter of course we won't get one and personally I don't want one. However we have them bang to rights on this and now is the time to go all in demanding officials from another country.

Brian Campbell

Or as a friend suggested: “We should withdraw from next years league cup in protest. Watch the sponsors disappear. We don’t need the extra games, it hardly brings in any extra money and it’s doing something rather than just asking for ‘clarification’. Just come out and say we can’t have our fans pay good money to a tournament where their team is cheated against. Would be interesting to see the reaction “

Jim Milne

If we sold him for $10m in January I'd be thinking another 6/12 months and could get close to double. I don't think there is a right or wrong answer unless his form tanks ala Morelos and Kent. Let's just enjoy him and hope we get maximum money when he does go.

Jim Milne

I hear you but let's wait til January 2nd to call it a write off. Clement clawed back more last year and I'm very doubtful he can but if we can get to 2nd and down to 8pts then with 2 old firms left and winning one things look different. I don't know we should sell our best prospect when we are just starting to rebuild unless it's a stupid bid. Maybe if Brighton comile on we say £10m and loan back for a season.

Tamus

Jonny Evans on a 1/2 season loan

Stace1ofthePeople

Its every game , bad tackles on our players and other players basically just taking the piss and tav isn't anywhere to be seen. We need a more visible, more vocal and more influential captain in my opinion. Sick of us being the nice guys, gets you nowhere

Graeme Price

We can be more vocal about these decisions but the (trash) media in Scotland will just either continue to ignore or demonize Rangers until we're in top again. I hear what everyone is saying about positives but I'm getting sick of this manager tbh. Yes he's been dealt a shite hand, but I don't feel he's really that committed to Rangers hence the stoicism. He is committed to his job and by extension the team and club operations but I sense he feels this is a step down from Monaco and riding this out until something better comes along in the next year based on performance in Europe which is obviously where most of his focus lies. Just my perception, and yes he is still there because we've been sacking managers which we can't continue, and has been given as much leeway as Gerrard whose mitigating circumstances meant that we had to give him three years. Hopefully he'll come good eventually, for now I think he's a trumped up fraud that we were all in awe of due to his playing and partially previous management career.

Ashley_H

Frustration is that fans of other clubs in the league accept refs favouring Celtic against their own teams as long as it keeps hurting Rangers in big moments. What chance have you got to turn the game around in Scotland against that type of backdrop

Ross Murphy

It's a real testament to Souttar's hard work and dedication that we're all so worried about his injury. He's improved hugely and has become a key player and a real leader for us... What happened to Clinton Nsiala?
