I don't think he's ever sounded better, to be honest. I'm really glad he has rode out the worst of the storm. . He's no longer talking about 'what ifs' or things that we need to imagine. He's got Raskin and Danilo fit, Igamane up to speed etc. His line about having to work on how to build from the back first is telling. There is evidence now to back up his words that were dismissed as a guy not in touch with reality. Actually it was just a guy aware that things would take time.

Really fair comment from you guys. In a lot of ways it’s a shame that the dip was so drastic as it undid a lot of the good work he did when he first came in. To pretend now it wasn’t extremely concerning how poor we were though isnt helpful as it would be papering over cracks and we are at a really fragile point where it could be very easy to crumble again. His comments on baselines was spot on, this level where a 1-0 is relatively comfortable and we should have scored more is fine as a low bar the next step is making sure games like to day are the odd time not week in week out as it had been. I was as t as comfortable as you guys with the second half and especially later on they had a few breaks I thought might have hurt us. It got a bit ragged both ends with about 15 to go and at 1-0 and having missed a few chances you wonder if it might be one of those days. There has been improvement both in player performance and overall team shape but the intent has to stay as attack focused. We cannot go back the way. I’m a bit more reserved than others and don’t think we have been quite as commanding as some put out there, it’s still a bit sloppy and fraught at times, but there are spells we do look good, those need to be more often and more sustained. The January game now becomes an essential game for him, but sadly for me at least, it doesn’t really answer the question until he CS. Put together a few wins against them or even win at home and take some points away in a row. Positives no doubt, not quite convinced just yet and feel we are now probably back to where we should be but not quite where we want to be. Transfer business could make or break him.

Absolutely better bud agree on that, but can’t help but feel we have just about got back to where we could have been from start of season. Still work in progress but using the squad better, just not quite ready to go the whole hog into optimism at this point. The flashes of good stuff needs to convert into more goals and proper sustained game on game improvement. The move we played on and around the box Tav and Raskin got in each others way was sublime, until we still managed not to score….those small margins need to swing to proper output for us to be back to our best I think. I dont want to be plucky losers, prefer to be ruthless winners! More optimistic but not quite back all in.
